Thank you so very much for making this video. I appreciate you placing the tools used in the description. I bought the 'EasyTime Watch Battery Replacement Tool Kit', to finally change my Aquaracer battery myself. The adjustable remover was the exact size that I needed. Thanks!
Awesome, it was easy right? Hopefully you used my link to buy it! Thanks for watching and please subscribe to my channel, although I am hoping to not need to post any videos about the watch for a few years as I hope it works fine.
My watch lasted around 4 years on a battery and I took it back to jewelry place of purchase for a simple battery change, they would not do it and said only tag heuer should do it…. And it was gone for a couple weeks and cost 2-300$.. I get the servicing blah blah but it only needed a battery. That battery lasted less then 2 years. Imo, I think that tag heuer puts inferior batteries in to promote service. Not wanting to spend 3 hundy I had differant jeweler put in a battery for me… and they lasted a couple months. I’ve been changing batteries in my other watches for years… thanks for video, I’m gonna start doin same with my formula 1 tag heuer watch now I saw there was not a buried battery. (I’ve had an issue with an invictus I think it was and didn’t want same).
Remember they clean it and replace the gasket and do other stuff when you send it into the factory. So I think it's worth it every few years to do that. But I also think it's okay to replace it yourself, but two or $300 is pretty reasonable for a thorough overhaul and cleaning and check up. Thank you very much for watching and please subscribe
Thank you very much. Funny enough, the battery died this week, about two years after I made the video. It's time for me to change it! Thanks again for watching and please subscribe!
Thanks for watching it!! Same battery is still going strong. Take note of some people's comments that you should never touch the battery with your fingers.
That vice ma-jig should have some sort of suction ma-jig to hold it firmly on the table while you work. Woulda liked to see that big rubber ball thingy too.
They have more expensive ones, I was trying to keep the budget low. Same with the ball, it's to make unscrewing the back easier after you loosen it with the wrench thing.
Yes of course you can do that, it would cost about $30 or $40, about the same price but since I did it myself I get to keep all the tools for future use.
Thank you, I kind of learned that afterwards. FOr anyone else reading this comment, he is 100 percent right, the oil from your fingers can contaminate and add moisture both cause corrosion. Also never use metal tweezers, only plastic ones as metal can short it out. @Matthewgregory2106 thank you for the great comment and please subscribe to my channel. This battery just died so I need to do another replacement!
Thank you, I never knew that but I have been searching online and see there is a ton of info saying the same thing. Thanks again for the tip! @@normanpoirier744

Hello has These Tag Heuer Formula 1 Model a EOL function? which Shows the end of the battery life ?
None at all. It's an old school watch, only shows time and date.
Thanks for watching and please subscribe. Still going strong on this same battery!!!
@@FreddySherman ok the function i mean is that the second hands Springs 4 seconds instead of 1 second for 2-3 weeks before the battery is empty?
@@Felixzer Wow, I never knew about that, but now that you mention it, yes, it did do that!!!!
Before stopping completely
Can you just take it to a jewelry store? How much would that cost to have them do it
Yes of course you can do that, it would cost about $30 or $40, about the same price but since I did it myself I get to keep all the tools for future use.
