As a Yankeephobe , I can tell you that John's only moral failure (Besides doing corporal punishments on his children and being a Calvinist) was that he was too moderate .He did not kill enough Slavers .Slavers do not get Human Rights .
When Slavers had forced breeding programs to avoid taxes on slaves, it kind of makes you ignore the domestic terrorism allegations and start rooting for him.
Supposedly he told people who where trying to get him to be only imprisoned or help him escape, not too, because he believed it be better to die a martyr. He made sure to talk to every journalist. Apparently he was inspired by spartcus and Haitian rebels. Biggest problem he some how didn't account for was informing the slaves. That he has weapons. Oh and had george Washingtons sword cause he stole it from his nephew at the battle. Personally I'm curious to Haitian thoughts on him during this time period.
He did account for it, he thought Harriet Tubman would spread the news, problem is if I remember correctly she was sick. Still not the best plan. Nontheless him dying a martyr helped spark the civil war, which freed all blacks.

He did account for it. Harriet got sick and the plan had to get moved up by a month due to one of his men being unreliable. She was sick and couldnt help earlier, and Frederick douglas also kinda bailed on him. Frederick bailing on the plan a day or so beforehand really hurt. A lot of things went wrong. He should habe delayed his plans. But yeah.
@@ADH_AddyI don’t think his plan would’ve ever worked, it just wasn’t feasible. However he died as a martyr and directly led to the civil war and freeing of the slaves. Even if his plan was unrealistic, his will and courage did more than his plan could and for that he’s forever based. John Brown did nothing wrong.
Based and chadpilled
The fact that this is basically what happened. John Brown refused to plea insanity because it would undermine his cause.
Abraham Lincoln gets the credit John brown deserves.
John brown was basically Abe Lincoln but hellbent

Exactly right! Deny rights and dignity to others, and you'll get none of your own.

Shut up , Anglo Slaver
He did cry while performing corporal punishment and once he forced one of his sons to hit him so his son would feel how he did
Calvinism goes 2 ways lol
I'm a proud southerner and agree it's a shame people still whitewash slavery.
