- just an idea on whats going on.. THANKS FOR WATCHING
TRUCK IS: 1980 Chevrolet C30 CAB & CHASSIS
rear axle is: 1980 GM 14 BOLT (narrow) "cab & chassis" 63.5" WMS to WMS
the point of the video was to TUCK (2) 8.25" semi wheels before taking them to get machined down to 22" - Авто/Мото
I have a 88 Chevy cab and chasis wrecker, luckily I watched this I didn’t know it would be that close to the rear spring lol
Gonna look slick with those tires tucked under there!
You got to thank those old timers. Thanks Ron wherever you’re at
i thought about that but i had bedsides from another truck and i need some fabrication videos on my channel..
@@chriscraft77022 Orale!!! Lol Great minds think a like you look like family bro straight up lol at first glance I thought you were Primo Rudy Rodolfo the great LOL Great videos keep it up brother
Hey thanks for this video. Doing this to a 74 cab and chassis pretty sure it’s a 63” center to center aswell. Right now I got 750-16 stock and need to get up to 36” diameter so I can go faster lol
Saw that intro and subscribed immediately lol
much appreciated
Looking like fun project
( bed related ) I'm kind of pondering the idea of doing a extended truck bed, my current C30 was a freight train 14ft flat bed truck. . . Huge. Anyway its choped down now to about a 9 ish ft truck bed, possibly 8ft 10" If I can work some magic with a custom fabricated rear bumper/pintle hitch mount, might be able to hide the frame sticking out and just get away with the stock 8 and 1/2 ft bed.
Good job
I was kinda with you, but personally I wouldn't grind on the leaves. My truck would be a hauler so I need full capacity. Hey is your frame a tow truck frame ? I ran into that when I wanted to convert my 2x4 tow truck onto a 4x4 longbed frame. The tow truck chassis is 4" longer. I decided to swap spring perches and things like that onto my oem frame.
As for the 2x4 car hauler I'm dreaming up... I might just run a medium duty axle and be done with it in the back. The front I haven't figured out.
Having some issues so I got a 10 lug axle “10x225” and my Alcoas don’t fit the holes, what adapters should I need?
Any vibration or problems with the spacers?
Where did order the spacers from
Will this be the same on my 1999 c2500 454
Hi can it be done on a toyota coaster
are you going to shorten the frame to get rid of the gap? I'm working on a similar build and haven't decided what I'm going to do about the gap between cab and bed bc of the CC having a longer wheel base.
no, I have 2 more bed sides and an extra floor .. I’m going to extend the bed.. video coming soon
I have a similar situation & built a removable extension. It's more work, but keeps you from welding on your bedside. I paid a lot of money for that bed & might want to move it forward when I weld in my C-notches & 4 link.
How long are the lugs?
What are you trying to accomplish with your truck? I have a 02 chevy 3500 cab and chassis dump truck that I'm wanting to increase payload capacity, so I'm learning how I can beef up my truck.
wrong channel.. I’m just leaving mine stock as far as that.. the semi conversion is just for looks
i have a 21 f350 im running 10 lug adapters to fit some big wheels do you think that f450 wheels(already 10 lug ) would just fit and already slap onto the adapters and work?
No as the F450 has a much smaller center bore 10 lug pattern than semi 10 lugs.
my 1980 GMC was crushed by a tree, presently looking for another, still have drivetrain, but I am debating if better to swap diff from a Freightliner? or use adapters to use the SEMI wheels? I have a parts SEMI, with decent axle. just convert to hydraulic brakes and figure axle mounting? hmmmm??????????????
if it was crushed by a tree the chassis would not be harmed..... to even think about a semi axle swap to 1 ton would literally be retarded by definition
@@chriscraft77022 why? it was a vintage wrecker bed, from 1950's 1/4" steel. 7 1/2 foot wide bed, the Freightliner has 3.55:1 gears.
the roof of truck was crushed to below steering wheel, as well as dash, seat destroyed, both fenders & hood, so yes a new cab, or finding another 1 ton to build on.
I would stay away from that swap.. that is sad to hear about the truck getting crushed.. but try and stick with that 1980 dually and do like I did.. you will not regret it
@@chriscraft77022 I understand, I just wanted to be different. I want adapters on the front. no desire to swap front axle, I also want to install a few of the gauges including speedometer from Freightliner.
my desire is for something unusual to pull single car trailer, and goal is to offer body work, sheet metal fab for people in certain groups, for older vehicles, or some custom work & fabrication.
now you know about my GMC what happened, well I also lost my daily driver, a beater Honda Accord, it is flatter than the truck, then, tree crushed 1 side of my Jeep Cherokee, then side of my Subaru Forester, & for laugh my old fridge I had not hauled off, plus a limb pointing straight down punched a hole in roof, 3" circle size, fixed that within 2 weeks. but I had to recover from this, I just bought a 4wd, and a decent beater. now got to find a cab, or rolling chassis. to continue with my idea. I also had a big block 396 I need to build I wanted to install in the truck
Were did u get these adapters
need to get a pretty narrow tire of the tire will rub on the leafsprings
265/40/22 yes
Fit a 94 3500 cab and chassis???
Where did you get the used wheels from? I’m searching for a set and not too far from Houston
I went on Facebook marketplace.. it was a place off old 90 and John ralston rd.. I will try to find the name .. they are just Mexican semi tire repair shops.. there are a few on old 90.. they buy the old rims by the container
A single wheel rear actually fits a lot better that's what I'm running in my 88 square dually .
Are you running the semi truck 22.5 super single?
What brand adapter did you use
Duallywheels4u.com
Are all the wheels the same. Or is there a difference between the front and back wheels?
Mine are all the same
Where do you get the adapters made ?
duallywheels4u
Where do I buy this adapter please 😭
X2
Will that fits 67/72 chevy C10 truck?
no
Ok thanks
Looking for a shop I'm in Mississippi any suggestions will be appreciated
Where is the machine shop bro im.from houston too
there’s 3 places I went to Texas extreme wheel and adapters on Jensen dr. By downtown
@@chriscraft77022 thanks bro
you got videos?
Hello i have a few questions
ok?
how much$$ for 1 pcs rim aluminum of old
$125 in Houston, TX
Buuut, you don’t have to use both 8.25 wheels, use the stock back wheel, put the back wheel on then put the adapter on and use the tuck style wheel if you lowering, like a 6/8 drop and trying to tuck them ( for people looking to drop their build)
the tires will be different heights... i did not want to do that.. I wanted two round hole inners so I can run them on one side to give the truck a different look every now and then..
Are u kidding? Where are ur jack-stands?
you don’t use jack stands on the ground. are you kidding? think about that before leaving an ignorant comment and revealing how little you know
Don't apologize for having a day job. You're making your videos at night when you can stand busy you're so many lazy people out there please brother.
