    The "Union street tramline removal 1963" was very helpful for me dating an aerial photo showing my old place of work under construction. In that photo, the tramlines on the Jamaica bridge are gone so the building was constructed after 1963.... but only just I think.

    I have always been a East end boy. I love these old photographs. Fascinating insight into time's gone by. How our Parent's, Grandparents and Great grandparents lived 🙂👍.

    Another fantastic collection of photos! I loved the one of the Kelvinhaugh ferry (10.00). I used to enjoy these wee ferries as a boy. It always seemed while crossing that the boat was going to miss the landing station, but somehow the man always got it right! Do these ferries still run?

      Thank you, as far as I know, the Renfrew ferry still operates.

    Nice photos. To think Glasgow was on one side a modern city in the early 1900's with electric trams. Put still half the people had no indoor toilets
