Biggest thing with defense is to not let 1 bad possession ruin your next defensive possessions. Too many people especially in rec, start to get cooked and they completely lose control
Been running 2k since 2015 so I’ve guarded the actual dribble cheesers😂 these new school guys are actually horrendous at what they call “cheesing”

@@user-qh5kn6mp4i what console you on? I run a 6’8 lock, he’s fast as hell defensively, but on offense he’s a wing or corner sitter/cutter. I’m a support role on offense while usually being the anchor on anybody 1-4, not built for guarding bigs😂 but anybody under 7’0 I can clamp to hell

Damn bro. I just got this game and you making this into an art. I find it irritating when they are checking the ball, that my guy which is active is not assigned to defend the guy receiving the ball, so my guy is open on the other side. Is there a way to call him into action and free up the other guy who is active to go guard his guy? So basically automatically changing to whoever is supposed to guard the person who has the ball? Does that make sense?

Yo bro, I’m sure you’ve peeped limitless takeoff/dunks is OP this year on next gen. Any tips for how to guard that since clamps don’t really work?
There’s nothing you can do if you’re behind their hip and they have slithery and limitless. You have to be bumping them to interrupt their launch animation- it’s the only hope. But you really can’t stop high attribute slashers w gold and HOF finishing this year. Unless your bug comes to help or you switch over to put him in position in team play online game modes.

on that build 92 perimeter and 70 interior I believe, block matters more than interior and its 87

You don’t want to be too close either, unless you are going for a bump steal. Couple steps back and time up the cross.
Also if your man has hof unpluckable he’s gonna be pretty much impossible to rip regardless.

Yo my donny I can't win on levels past pro level tbh. I'm new to nba I can do the triple threat challenges by bullying a small player but the actual matches I get killed. Don't understand when it tells me to press a button to defend can't I turn this to manual?

This is coming from literally the top lockdowns in the world. I wouldn’t give you bad tips, my job is to make you better. Every top lock in the world uses 0-15 for defensive assist strength.

If your good can use 0 defense Ai setting and not slide. If ur sorry I use 100 and spam with scuf. I seen “pros” “comp” or high rep do both in city park or ante up.
