The night hag. When you wake up in the night and you can't breathe, like your chest is being compressed, it was believed you were being ridden by a hag and she was squashing your chest. Her name was the night hag, in old English the Nicht Mara (and that is where the word nightmare comes from). Surprised the QI researchers didn't discover this information.
Excellent programmeme as always fantastic infant entertainment. It's so great to see people. Both enjoy themselves and stretching their intellect a bit. I think we're all secret nerds. Oh, and it's great to see Daniel Radcliffe on the show. He is a really grey guy and I'm so pleased that he's got turn on to do well. Beyond the Harry Potter franchihe, deserved it, he's a good lad. And we could do with a few of those.❤
@@thecolourrose9022 If you watch the entire episode, he does do a lot of squirming as Teri Hatcher puts an object in her mouth. Not really creepy, per se, just playing up the reaction of most young males of the early 1990s....the ones downloading her picture......for "whatever" reason....

Teri is great, I loved her as Lois back in the day. It was such a fun, silly, cheesy show but right from the first episode she is just great as an interesting, feisty reporter. Lex was magnificent in those too, brilliantly played as the overly extravagant slimeballbillionaire megalomaniac.
Hatcher was right; it does stand for Superman. That Kryptonian BS is later revisionism by lesser writers. "Oh, it just looks like an S" Yeah, that makes more sense. Another case of a Hollywood writer trying to act like they are more clever than someone who wrote a story for children and failing miserably to pull it off.
A Kryptonian symbol of hope...?? Is that actually what the newer movies said?? It is not, it's his family's crest. All those Kryptonian families have their own symbol. What's with all these modern regurgitation movies, they parade around claiming they're so accurate to everything yet they often don't have a clue about their own source material.
@@DomWeasel I think the point people are making is that literally nobody even remotely spun those children's stories as some "antitrans agenda" thing before they were all told to. I doubt Rowling even thought about trans people at all before the big social media circus, hardly anybody did at all which is exactly why there was such a confused reactionary response to the sudden deluge of accusations and petulance surrounding the pushing of this agenda (however well meaning it may have been, it was still a heavily marketed agenda pushed on billionaireowned social media platforms...).
It's lovely to see Daniel having fun and he's incredibly inquisitive and intelligent.
You mean Harry? 😂 I joke
So sad when he became a cult leader it ruined his life

It's great to see their viewpoints on the Qi wireless charging standard. I really value their opinion.

He's so creepy when next to an attractive woman.

Those that can do it, work. Those that cannot get promoted to management.
I've heard that Teri Hatcher is difficult to work with and egotistical, but i dunno, I thought she was genuinely charming when she was on QI.

Teri Hatcher is to Superman what Catherine Tate is to Doctor Who. They only know they were on the show. And nothing else. HA

Rowling, like almost everyone else before 2010 or so, never even thought about these things.
