Man funny story about that. So I've been a fan for like 5 years and missed like every chance to see him when he came here to Amsterdam. He came again a couple weeks ago and it was sold out and didn't think I'd be able to see him, but my friend randomly got 2 tickets, so off we went. He played this song and he fucking SHOUTED that line at the top of his lungs in that unique King Krule fashion, and I immediately bursted out in tears. Very intense emotional performance by one of my favorite artists. I will always love Archy Marshall.
dude I read this right when that part happened 💀 I’m floored
@@henriquealejandro7247 Aaww!

archy's fashion sense is so sick
We’re really witnessing a star in his prime .
Asheru prime? U sure?
Wouldn't his prime be 6 Feet Beneath the Moon?
this is better than everything on 6 feet beneath the moon. The OOZ was also way better than 6 feet.
You've been living under a rock
Simon Danielsson the ooz has nothin on 6 feet, this new shit rly do be slapping doh
I had my worst depressive episode from mid 2017- mid 2018, the only that kept me going was the ooz. Thank you archy, your music kept me alive.
💗💗💗
Same here but 2018- mid 2020. Rode to recovery eh?
I have the exact same experience with this album. 2017-2018 was a very tough time for me but the OOZ really helped me out!
So happy for you :)

Hey kid, some of us are dead now, but when we were alive, we listened to your dad's music and it brought us joy, and a little bit of salvation.
So much emotion packed in this song, evokes so much emotion, makes me so happy and grateful that I'm sober and alive and not alone

This looks like a song for his daughter. Love it
LYRICS
Take a dip, for your love
Take your time
Take a ticket, take the train
To the end of the line
See where you can go, expend it
It's plastic, no do or die
Beter flip it, think about it
You'll do just fine, well
These things will come and go
Deep in the metropol'
Throw a stone, see it land
Forget it's fly
Draw a line in the sand
Between your thighs
Just to see which way you go
So you got this, you the lead
Free your own
Better throw it, consume it
Then let it go, girl
Don't forget you're not alone
Deep in the metropol'
The ache of thunder in the storms of your mind
Soak it in for the rain will pass in time
Nothing wrong in sinking low
In the omen of paradise
You're the ghost they put aside
But don't forget you're not alone
Sometimes you're stressed
But don't forget you're not alone
Sometimes you're stressed
Every minute, every second
You're not alone, you're not alone
You're not alone, you're not alone
You're not alone, you're not alone
Sometimes you're stressed
Sometimes you're stressed
Thank you!
Fucking luv this man ❤
Love how the lyrics so far seem to have more of a "light in the end of the tunnel" vibe. Nice to see Archy doing good in life

Wow the album is so good.... Drugs... being a new father.... how phones are ruining the world.... depression... connection... Archy is going through the same things we are, he just knows how to put it all into sounds that are beautiful and sad.
fun fact:
we shot this vid 23rd jan in greenwich, that's me left to archy 0:10 in the intro, a few other shots on the shore and waiting to be unplugged from the matrix at 2:20
Moonchile that’s sick! was there specific casting or are you tight with him
there was a casting but tbh i didn't know about it, we have a few mutual friends, one being the director so i got lucky :)
Yoooo that’s awesome man!

YES!!! I was waiting for someone to comment something like this. I thought you were T1J at 2:20. Watching this video again and again and again
This is like a Ron Weasley trip when he drinks too much of Hermione's mushroom tea

I love this man's fan base because I truly feel that he brings out such a beautiful, creative spirit from within each and every one of us. It feels so special to listen to his music and watch his videos and I think the majority get that special feeling as well :)
Amen to that! Krule Kids forever 💙
hell yeah
Don't forget you're not alone
I was in a creative rut for about 9 months. The promo cycle of this record inspired me intensely and I've been working on something completely different than what I have been for the past 10 years. I'm super excited and its actually becomes difficult to decide whether I wanna make new music or bask in this amazing new album
People will most likely criticize when they don’t understand, but this music is original, poetic and artistic. I think Archy is a visionary. This song sounds depressing and uplifting at the same time because “you’re not alone”. We are all going through the same things.
Never seen someone put so much strong energy out in such a slow, chill manner. It's really baffling.
I might be tripping right now, but... Have you noticed that in Archie's music videos there's no or nearly no acting from him? Like he's just vibing, chilling on the cross, being zombie. But here... It's really fascinating to see such a strong energy from this character that he's in, when he puts on the glasses. It's just everything - facial expressions, gestures, movements, attitude. I might be taking this too seriously, but it's just my observation
You're not wrong. Musicians are channels to something else. This is in full force with this KK project. Hes really tuning into his higher self.
i thought the same
nihilist vibe
How do you feel about the comet face video?
@@wallywutsizface6346 it was kinda unnecessary, like months after the album released release a music video? Dosent make alot of sense
this song and video are like a time capsule for how i felt in early 2020, I had no idea it was gonna be the worst year of my life. I can watch this and remember vividly how i felt back then. I even remember reading most of the current top comments not long after they were posted, and within the blink of an eye, it's already almost been 4 years since then. Strange how i can look back on these times with positive sentiment despite how horrible i felt. On top of the pandemic, i very unexpectedly experienced my first breakup from a long term relationship and it was soul shattering. Life felt completely unreal for a while, but i'm doing much better now. I'm not even sure if anybody's gonna see this but if you're going through hardship, keep pushing. Things will get better, and you are worth it. I promise.
I feel this so hard this song takes me back but I love this song so much.

These things happen when you're trapped in a lizard state.
It means alot
It's symbolic of the overall message this song conveys
ITS THE SAME SOUND FROM "THE LIZZARD STATE " lol

easily my favorite king krule mv, such atmosphere, such a vibe. the setting and color design mesh perfectly with the music. the little mirror room near the end matches up with the distortion/echo effects of the song at that point. ugghh so good
I wonder if this "Omen" is supposed to help his daughter in a time of need when she grows up, I do at least think the Song is directed at her, which is really sweet of him :)
Yeah the song is pretty much "its gonna be okay" for his daughter.
its so sweet
that's so wonderful
I rediscovered this guy's music a couple of weeks ago, and i have been going crazy over how good it is!
I remember listening to his music back in 2013 and thinking "this is nice, but not my cup of tea."
But for some reason, the name stuck in my head, and i rediscovered those songs again, and now i can't get enough!
I only listen to King Krule now! It is that crazy! It just makes my day!
I remember Nathan Fake saying in an interview, that the best music you'll ever hear, is the stuff that grows. Now i understand what he meant by that! I Will attend one of his shows, whenever possible! Amazing stuff right here!
These always come on the days I need them most ♥️
The soundscape of this song is insane
archie never fails to impress me. On another musical level. He’s forming his own sound. Maturing his concepts and I’m so glad I’m here to witness greatness
I moved to Vienna just before the virus. I was alone, and far away from home. During the quarantine i used yo feel lonely and afraid. I used to go for a walk on the cold and dark afternoons of april, while listening to Man Alive! It helped me to overcome loneliness

My gf introduced me to this song. I didnt like it at first but overtime it really grew on me and I listened to it a lot. She broke up with me a couple months ago after her dad was diagnosed with cancer and her aunt died. I cant stop listening to this song but it makes me cry every time. I cant stop thinking about how alone I am without her. Just remember we're not alone. 5/31/21

in the age of pandemics, i feel a strange connection with everyone on the planet that iv never felt before. it is both sad and beautiful...
King Krule only gets better with time. I’m excited to be alive in this moment in time. Congratulations on the baby, by the way!!
This song is truly incredible. I feel like I have to listen to it on repeat every time I play it.
Literally. I come back to this at least once a week
YES YES YES YES
edit: it has been out for less than an hour and I've already listened to it about 15 times
The idea of starting the video right on him surrounded by bustling people (so you assume he’s at a bus station or railway or something where people are crowded and wait) but then they all split at once and he’s in somewhere completely unexpected.
....yeah that was pretty dope
This song is so beautiful but I really miss those two chords that were in the demo after the ‘don’t forget your not alone’ they really did hit different
totally agree, the chords in that version hit haard... interesting mix i just wish there was a bit more of that guitar in this
Yeahhhh that version is still my favorite
@@perc30mg Yea that's my sense too. Like I love this track but it sounds like the mastering is a bit off, the guitar licks are sooo good I want to hear them just a tick more. Or maybe I'm just thinking that songs have to be guitar driven, especially King Krule tracks where the riff is so strong, and he's just evolving into more sound-scape stuff? Idk, I love both but there are moments where I wish the guitar would be there more.
Sawyer K yeah agreed... atleast we get both versions. Think his development of style is rather interesting... think the old krule would've released it more like the hello world demo
Bro where can i find the alternative version?
the don’t forget you’re not alone hit me so hard. archy’s music just revives this sense of nostalgia that I feel nowhere else
Don’t forget your not alone. Whoever’s reading this,i hope you’ve had a great day and have a great life.

Archy is friends with both Earl and Tyler, they've both been shouting each other out since the beginning of their careers. I don't even know who of them did the thing with the funny glasses first. Tyler also called The Ooz his favorite album of 2017 and interviewed him for a magazine some time ago

classic song and video
I had the opportunity to listen one of his albums, called Six Beneath The Moon and I think he was very mature musically speaking. While times passing, he just becoming more and more mature.
The melancholic lyrics and some actions in his musical videos are so interesting. If I have a musical project someday, he will one of my inspirations.
You ever just close your eyes to this song ?

King Krule has an old rich jazz soul. It's like the fatty part of bacon. I can't explain how. It's just good.
Cannot stress enough how Important this song is
It is truly indescribable how incredible this man is.
After the entirety of this song filled with hope and optimism, the ending feels like descending into madness. Feels like when you think you are happy again and then fall again in the same loop of sadness and hatred.
Saw this guy live in France just before we hit the cornovirus quarantine. His influence is amazing, whole public singing along with _his_ accent. In France. Great performance, fantastic music he's one of the references I would send people to check out if they're complaining about music nowadays, we're lucky to have them - him _and_ the band - around.
It occurs to me not many people like this. The vibe is unmatched.
King Krule is a gift from God
Time for Archy to see a grammy
now everybody is so much more connected through phones yet as lonely as ever even when we are surrounded eachother, so “don’t forget you’re not alone”
Idk why this song isn't on the radio tbh.. I'm from Brooklyn brownsville Nyc one of the most poorest low income places in the city and Im telling you right now this is real music
Everybody in the comments is speaking about how this is such a good, and positive song. But I just broke up with my girlfriend of 3 years, and don’t really think I ended it right. I told her not to contact me anymore. This song is just hurting me, taking me through the motions. My ex has her dilemmas and issues that I know of and see her go through. I really want to help, but that’s no longer my position. I just want her to be okay and I want her to know that she’s not alone, she will always have a place for in my heart, I constantly worry about her even though I know she doesn’t feel the same.

(1999-2019, I really fucking miss you)
Archy’s music progresses like *Chefs kiss* never disappoints
I remember being a senior in a highschool i just started out in, first guy i met is named Sharron (pronounced Sh-uh-ron, he hated it being pronounced 'Sharon' ). He showed me Baby Blue and I have never felt so much from a song. Immediately fell in love with King Krule's sound and style, really broadened by taste of music in general. The Ooze was released the end of my graduating year, 2017. I feel my life would be in a completely different universe if I never listened to this man. I got kicked out from my moms heading into 2018 and The Ooze + 6 Feet Beneath the Moon kept me grounded while living out of a 98 Tacoma, in Texas winter. Fast forward a few years to 2020 and the long awaited Man Alive! finally comes out. I had been waiting for this project like nothing else in my life before. I enjoyed every second of every song, even my least favorites on the album. I can't even describe how much I want to forget his music just to rediscover it again, but i cant stand to lose the good and bad moments that are attached to the every sound.
I started talking to an old friend around that time, and we began dating. She loves Krule as much as I do, and even painted my face on the 6 Feet Beneath the Moon cover art for a birthday present, making it a gift my mind can never surrender. We now have a 3 month old at the time of posting this. I still feel like I listened to Baby Blue for the first time yesterday... time is a fickle little bitch man, I swear.
"These things will come and go" *best shot in the video*
This song has saved me fromm myself countless times and for that i am thankful he exists
This video and song is some of archies best work. Although it presents a very depressing almost dystopian theme of being alone in a grey city, archie highlights the beauty in the collective feeling of loneliness, a very uplifting message. It is summed up perfectly with his girl and child at the end
This man is so talented , this song means a lot to me , i used to have people around me , never thought my life would be so empty , it kills you slowly everyday when you're in this hell, personnally , i encountered a Medusa woman , yeah it really exist, and drained my life and disappeared.
Thanks for all what you have ever done, man.
Every minute every second I'm not alone
