thanks for this video. It reminded me of the first (and only) time I saw him live, months ago on March when he first toured in south america. I travelled from south of Brazil to São Paulo only to go to his concert and it was worth it. I've been to many many gigs, even in London when I lived there, and that night in São Paulo was a special one. The band seemed very happy and kind of united, anyway...a great vibe. The venue was also small (but bigger than George Tavern), had a great sound...It was a magical night.
Thanks for the memories. Glad to have been here to share a highlight of mine. Small venues are the greatest. The George is a great home to many great bands who remember where they came from.

🙏 yes it was a great, intimate set. So hot and sweaty too. My camera had a big overheating warning, and the screen was burning my nose when I used the viewfinder. Chunks of the video were filmed with the lcd panel and viewfinder switched off to prevent shutdown, so couldn’t even see what I was shooting. You can barely notice though so my muscle memory must be working. Sax man was great.

Indeed you do. I was nervous when I saw that queue even though I had an invite. Still had to find a spot at the front and hold it for the 40 mins prior.
I try to get as close to the action as possible to get as immersive an experience as I can. I had to stand in this spot for over an hour before KK's set just so I'd get these shots. Glad you noticed. 😀

I guess it varies from band to band. I'm lucky enough that people request my presence at these events either as artists, promotors or bookers, so that's something I'm very grateful for. You have to live close, and move fast for most other ways in.
