I absolutely love Chiang Mai. It's a big university town. I travel there once a year and get involved in the local rugby. Your Air bnb looks very similar to a place I stayed in Singapore, some years ago. Thais make great coffee.
You should check out the winter festival across from 700 stadium in the evening. It's a local style carnival and there is tonnes of interesting things to eat. I think the last day is the 15th. Can play some carnival games too. Very busy! 😊
