Hey man. Thanks for this video. I ordered mine off Amazon up here in Canada. $25. It’s like a 20L pack. One of the best DIYs I’ve done to my bike and I’ve done a lot. Cheers brother!
Thank you for posting this. I bought a backpack a few weeks ago (used $5) for added storage for trips to the store and work. I was ok with wearing it on my back when needed. Saw you video and and hour or so that evening had a great looking sissy bar bag. Thanks so much and keep posting!
Just bought a bike after about 15 years of not riding and looking at storage found this. The first thing that popped into my head: Nice CVMA beanie! Going to check out a meeting soon myself after an old Battalion buddy of mine suggested it. Thanks for the video!
Military surplus bags make for the best sissybar bags. A little mod here and there, and you've got something that'll outlast the other name brands out there.
Could instead make a pvc frame to fit into the water bladder slot to create stability and not have to compromise the bag. Cool idea thought 💭 looks solid.
Exactly, improvise and overcome. Made it work and it looks tight. Saved money too. Thanks for the video. I'm all about saving money on stuff. Then when I want a Steak dinner out, Bam, I got the cheese to do it.
It's good to see you post up another video, I just took delivery of my fat bob this week I got through military auto sales. The heat wrap looks great on your bike and your video does have me thinking now.
I have the same pack! But mine is black. I'm going to ride the dragons tail next month with some buddies and this is the perfect solution for me! Thanks my dude!
Maybe 8 years ago I did this, but with an old tank bag. Instead of a water bladder, it had a pocket that held backpack straps. I split the bottom and sewed the edges. Slipped right over the sissy bar
Are you still with the CVMA? I was looking at sissy bar bags and had been thinking about turning a backpack into a sissy bar bag for my trip to this years Nationals event in June. Great video by the way, inspiring 🤓👍🏻🇺🇸
Nice video! I have been looking for a cheap way to add a bag on my bike. Having said that I don’t like bags on my style Of bike really. However been many times I could use one. What you did is give me an idea for modifying a backpack to just go over my backrest, with no luggage rack. I hope it when I get it done it’s secure without a luggage rack. Thank You for putting this idea into my head
Awesome idea thanks for sharing. I've been trying to figure out a solution for my wide glide for 2 up rides with gear. I've tried a few different packs and nothing seemed to work out how I wanted. This is perfect for what I already have.
Nah, good video and good add-on. I'll sometimes strap my backpack to the rear depending on the situation. This, though, has definitely got me thinking about a more permanent addition. Stay cool, man.
Hmmm I have a backpack that’s similar to that one and the sissy bar pack I was gifted isn’t fitting how I want it to , I might go this route as well thanks brother !
Would some kind soul throw a link to a pack you bought and got this setup working? Seemed to be quite a few on Amazon that were similar but not the same wrt the bladder/strap setup. Thanks.
Literally just got this bag today and was looking for ideas. Thanks for posting this! What bungee cords did you use on the bottom? I have a 6-pack rack too.

Shit bro you just saved me a chunk of change I have a bag much like that. I'm going to work on this tomorrow. Thanks
Great share. My favorite moment was 4:19 - "Up / Under here!?" lol Thanks again, AGA!
Good idea. Harley ones are especially expensive.

Man!!!! I have that exact same bag!! My weekend is set!!! Thanks for the great idea brother!!!
J.L. Molina do you know what bag it is exactly and where to buy it from?
Thank you!! I had to leave stuff behind because I didn’t have an actual bike bag! Not good for a girl not to have her stuff lol now I will!! 😊
Nice stocking cap! Great ideas!
Been considering doing this to my tactical bag. It has removable straps and d rings. Have a sissy bar/ backrest but no carrier which would be useful.
Cool... Found your vid because I've been thinking along the same lines. Thanx!
What is the brand name of the pack you used? Thanks
Love it, I am cheap bastard and this is perfect.
Damn I was just looking at bags and came across this! I have that bag in black! Thanks for the idea 👍 found that bag ! Guess what my next project is?
Works for me . Been thinking about taking old back pack my son used in school and doing this . 2008 fat bob
Love your bike thanks for sharing brother !

Great ideas!! Thanks Brutha!!
I was thinking of doing the same with with an old Alice pack with the metal frame
My sissy doesn't have a rack. Just fender. Maybe I can still make it work....?
What’s the name of the pack please.
Would some kind soul throw a link to a pack you bought and got this setup working? Seemed to be quite a few on Amazon that were similar but not the same wrt the bladder/strap setup. Thanks.
It's called a SOG back pack
Or something similar
What bag is that please.
yo do you have the bag brand or something you use for size reference?
What bag is that please?
Literally just got this bag today and was looking for ideas. Thanks for posting this! What bungee cords did you use on the bottom? I have a 6-pack rack too.
We're you able to melt the mesh you cut for the sissy bar pocket, to prevent it from tearing?
Great Video
that helmet....i have that patch...
Very smart, pretty much what I’ve done as well!
Festivus xD Nice one!
Walmart on line have them for around 40 bucks.
Great idea!
R u watching urself the whole time, or am I seeing things?
Great idea.
How do you carry it when off the bike ? You can't leave anything in it if you are not with the bike !
Good Idea better than the $300 tank/sissybar bags most companies are raping us riders.
Hi from 24-3. Nice video.
Not bad!!!
What bag is it and where did you buy it?
How has this held up?
Smart man you don't have to spend extra money
Thanks for sharing 😊
Still waiting to afford a sissy bar with a luggage rack..
Check this guy out, does great work. I have one on my Fat Bob. www.etsy.com/shop/EdwardRichie?ref=simple-shop-header-name
🤘🏼
Bro spends 60% of video waffling about what he’s done instead of showing 🙄
Cvma? I'm 6-7
Yup, 34-3
