Hi Justin.
This is great - is it on the website?
Many thanks
😊🎸
Yes, it is! Full module here: www.justinguitar.com/modules/practice-exploring-gym
Thanks Justin.
I'm learning more now than I have in the last 25 years!
I wish I could've discoved this as a teen in the 90's.
Thanks so much - (and the paid content is excellent!)
😊🎸
Thanks Justin - having videos that help relative beginners play with a friend is fantastic and not something I've found done well elsewhere, so please keep these tips coming! I do play with a friend each week or so and we've never tried this - typically we're doing exactly what you said and just playing the same thing as each other, so will try this for sure.
Great lesson Justin. Perfect for me as it consolidates some work I've been doing with Caged system and Capo and gave me a couple of light bulb moments!
Great lesson. Please more like this > can’t wait to start making music with my friends.
Unbelievable that this level of teaching is free. Cheers Justin!
This lesson is great Justin! Thank you!!!
Hey! Great video! Enjoyed it. Still quite steep for my abilities but I'll get here...someday :)
Keep up the gr8 work. Cheers!
Excellent lesson Justin!! Thanks
Great lesson !👍
great concept!
You’re a great teacher.
Hi Justin, I love all your videos - a tremendous fan of yours. When you're playing this guitar specifically though, I do find it a bit trickier than usual to keep up. The dots on your fretboard don't seem to be 'standard' (i.e., no dot on fret three and a double dot on fret 7). Just a bit of feedback you might find useful :) Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Lots of love x
Recently, I've been studying the CAGED system. Your explanation is easy to understand.
Hi Justin, first comment i'm making in your lessons.
I'm playing guitar for about 15 years, I consider myself a intermedian player.
I found your lessons when I decided to bump up my skills, especially on the theory area.
I decide to watch all of your beginner lessons anyway, and make my way through.
Very good decision I made, I have pickup some new things, and this lesson is a great example of that, something that I really never thought about.
Thanks for doing this lessons free, you are a great teacher!
Greetings from Brazil.
Excellent lesson. Thank you
Glad you liked it!
cool another dot to connect, thank you sir!
Great lesson again mr..very useful for me beginner, thank you Justin 💯👌🤘👌
Glad to hear that! Happy 2022!
@@justinguitar happy 2022 to you my teacher ✌
hi.justin.good experiment
Brillant
Thanks!
Thank you! Appreciate your support. :)
Your great you read my mind but you can explain that's a,BIG DIFFERENCE 👍👌
Glad you think so!
STRUTH ! I have a lot to learn ! :-) lol
12:30 for my future use
Wow, I feel like a dummy. My friends and I have been jamming just duplicating the same positions. This is a great excuse to start breaking out the capo!
23:17 I wonder where I'll be in 10 years, how good I'll be at guitar; Hopefully I'll still be playing guitar by then
(Time by Pink Floyd plays in the background)
I went to website and there is no "resources" anywhere any suggestions?
Very good details, and a great lesson. I do suggest you slow down your talking cadence during the part where you are teaching the new important points in the video. That is if you want to have people catch this in one view of the video or without slowing the video down to .75 otherwise this is perfect!
Hi Justin,
Firstly, I want to thank you for all the amazing lessons. It's been a blast!
At around min 10 of the video Justin asks where we can find the D note on the fretboard and chooses the one on the 5th fret on string 2. Why does he not use the D which is played by the capo on string 2 fret 3?
For the C note he also chose the note played by the capo on string 5 fret 3 which made me think that the D note under the capo had to be the right one.
Being asked where the notes were made me feel like I was watching an episode of Dora 😂
cant find the cheat sheet??
That's blown my little mind! I just assumed a C shape was a C chord wherever the capo was. So when you see the chords written down for a song with a capo, they are actually referring to the shape you play, not the actual chord that shape plays?
Excatly.
Nobody said there was going to be math! 😭😭😭
9:20 Justin puts a capo on G and calls it C, any help is appreciated )
Guess I'm not advance yet.. over my head
Don’t fear the CAPO
The CAPO is our friend!
@@jimking2040 Don’t Fear the Reaper or the Capo🙃
And this is why I don't love the CAGED system... There are exactly 5 ways to make a chord on the guitar until you start adding colours, then there's 6 and 7 and hundreds. But as long as you remember that it's a great heuristic for just the placements that Justin describes, it's okay.
@@jwinners407 yes, I think that's exactly it.
