My vocals basically exist because of this band, being one that can sing like this screaming or the nice controlled rattle in the voice. I agree entirely it is gnarly! 🤘✌
" Why can't you see, what three little words have done to me? " That's powerful I don't care how you interpret it or what it means. Their lyrics are literally gold .
I spoke with Jeremy at one of the VIP As Fuck meet and greets and he told me that the "three little words" are No Fucking Respect. The audio at the end of the song is the actual audio from when the band was all together and wrote the Email that they sent to Victory Records that started the entire lawsuit..those are their real reactions When Tony replied, he was pissed..,the last thing he wrote in his email was "No fucking respect!" there ya go.
One thing i absolutely love about ADTR is most of their songs have their meaning, but can be interpreted to a girl a lot of the time. That's what i thought of this song at least, especially with the "What three little words have done to me" that I figured was I love you, or we are done.
So, I'm at work. I haven't listened to this album yet. Listening to the playlist, got to this song. Got to the no fucking respect breakdown. Now my desk is broken, my computer is on the other side of the room, and I want to fight someone. ADTR, you make the best albums, and I love you.
That final breakdown though.... Listening to this and knowing everything they went through with Victory gives me chills. This is proof that if you stand up for what you believe in, nothing or no one can stop you! If they put this in their live setlist (Lord, PLEASE) I predict many walls of death. Mark my words! My favorite on the album... right now that is.
ADTR had gotta be one of the best musical sounding bands in this type of genre. This is what a lil garage band turned into and there fricken amanzing. There good live too best live show ever.
It is always great to come back to this song! I did ADTR doing this style so much! Was a big fan of the For Those Who Have Heart, Homesick and What Separates Me From You albums as well.
Dude this album is the tits. The sincerity of this song is what gets me every time. And then they fucking bring it at that last breakdown. The perfect song.
Holy shit. Never found a song that described my dovorce perfectly until now. Chills through this whole song . Amazing work guys. Got me right in my Cortisone
Best record of the album. This is so amazing, the breakdown is sooo good! Really enjoyed the new album. Please, come to Brazil! We hope you guys come here soon, specially in Curitiba :D
Contrary to what other people are saying, the song's entirely aimed at Tony Brummel of Victory Records. The 'three words' referred to in the song are "Just sign here." in reference to the contract that A Day To Remember signed with Victory Records.
You're all about you, and it's my fast track to an early grave. Just need to see this through Do you even sleep at night? Where does your conscience run to hide? I gotta get out, I gotta get out. Why can't you just do what's right by me? I gotta get out, I gotta get out. It can't get much harder, harder to breathe. The room keeps spinning faster, I'm drifting off to sleep. Hope it's seen beyond these walls you're suffocating me. Why can't you see what three little words have done to me? I never knew I was alone, you turned your back, you broke this home. Took me so long to find the answers, and your reasons why. I just wanted things to be alright, or at least for just tonight. How's living a lie? You never could face me, And you hide behind fake personalities Because deep down you're scared. So weak beyond compare. I gotta get out, I gotta get out. Why can't we just go our separate ways? I gotta get out, I gotta get out. It won't be much farther, I'm counting the days. The room keeps spinning faster, I'm drifting off to sleep. Hope it's seen beyond these walls, you're suffocating me. Why can't you see what three little words have done to me? I never knew I was alone, you turned your back, you broke this home. Took me so long to find the answers, and your reasons why. I just wanted things to be alright, or at least for just tonight. My friends still stand behind me. We stuck together through all we lost. Even when your worst surrounds me, you'll never get the best of us. Why can't you see what three little words have done to me? I never knew I was alone, you turned your back, you broke this home. Took me so long to find the answers, and your reasons why. I just wanted things to be alright, or at least for just tonight No fucking respect. All hail the thief forever trying to separate you and me. All hail the thief forever trying to separate No fucking respect.
This Album got me Through my worst Breakup ever in 2013 I still come back to reminisce about it even though we fixed everything & rekindled months later lol
on a serious note, i know this song is written about Victory, but every time i read the lyrics, i can't help but draw connections to my experience with my homophobic parents. all the times i tried to suffer through conversation with them, to get to a good part where we could all be happy at the same time. all that time i spent in the closet, indoctrinated to their beliefs. for me, the three little words are "it's an abomination."
From any Interviews I've seen none of the songs were about victory or the trial. I think there is one specific one were someone asked them in a Q&a and they said that
1) I love this song - it's amazing.2) Not sure why, but ADTR played none of the songs of this album when I went to see them recently - not sure if there's anything behind this.3) 'All hail the thief forever trying to separate you and me - what's the meaning behind this exactly?
Everyone's flaming over what the "three little words" are And I'm just sitting here Chillin' with a Triscuit box. Oh wait... actually... you know what? Never mind.
This song definitely has dual application. I know people say it has to do with contract dispute the the N.F.R., but we all though about this song in context of a significant other
I'm sure it's been said before but, the lyrics "all hail the thief forever trying to separate you and me" to me are like Jeremy telling Victory Records music is all he has
Landry Saathoff the whole song is about them battling with Victory Records and how they want to separate and just be the band. they actually found out today that they won the court case
Landry Saathoff I think they're just kinda mocking Victory Records. They say "all hail the thief; forever trying to separate you and me" like they're saying "look the thief is trying to separate us but he never will." hopefully that makes sense, I could be wrong though
@shannon pavlak - you realize this song is about all their recent legal trouble and shit, right? Jeremy has said this in multiple interviews. it's not about love, it's about being told "ill end you"
hoofhearted4 no problem mate, haha. many people come to the conclusion that those three words are "no fucking respect" but Jeremy said in an interview that 'the document speaks for itself' is about the lawsuit with Victory and the infamous 'i'll end you' which started the band's dilemma with the label.
actually on his twitter jeremy said the three words were No fucking Respect you can check it out if you dont believe me twitter.com/jeremymckinnon/status/403910040832446464
John Lennon Jeremy M mistook the tweet though. He thought they were talking about what was said during the breakdown. What they were truly asking about what 3 words the line "Why can't you see what three little words have done to me?". the answer to that is tony brummel's "i'll end you". so both correct, but in different ways
One reason I love ADTR is Jeremy's gritty, aggressive clean vocals. They really show up on the line "you're suffocating me!!!" Sounds cool.
Agree! 🖤💯
My vocals basically exist because of this band, being one that can sing like this screaming or the nice controlled rattle in the voice. I agree entirely it is gnarly! 🤘✌
Quite possibly the most underrated breakdown.
" Why can't you see, what three little words have done to me? " That's powerful I don't care how you interpret it or what it means. Their lyrics are literally gold .
@DanaWhites_CocaineDealer well I did make this comment literally 2 years ago so shut the literal fuck up and enjoy the song bitch
"I just wanted things to be alright, or at least for just tonight.." So true..
@Gelatin72 one day my friend you will. But you’ll wish you didn’t. Good luck in this life
I spoke with Jeremy at one of the VIP As Fuck meet and greets and he told me that the "three little words" are No Fucking Respect. The audio at the end of the song is the actual audio from when the band was all together and wrote the Email that they sent to Victory Records that started the entire lawsuit..those are their real reactions

there ya go.
Chris Coletti You're the MVP thank you so much :)
thanks I always wondered lol
I always thought the 3 words were I love you lol
Hahaha the "we're fucked" at the end was genuine
3:26 onward is just fucking unbelievable. So amazing.
SO FUCKING PROUD of you guys for getting your freedom ! Today is a day for the books! i love you guys so much and will forever be a fan !
you might say today is a day to remember
One thing i absolutely love about ADTR is most of their songs have their meaning, but can be interpreted to a girl a lot of the time. That's what i thought of this song at least, especially with the "What three little words have done to me" that I figured was I love you, or we are done.
I was thinking 3 words were "i hate you" or "i love you"
I agree I never thought it would be even deeper I had just suspected that this was about a relationship, but its an incredible song none the less!
NO FUCKING RESPECT!!
The majority of the album was about getting the shaft from Victory Records and the whole court case which ADTR later won.
I think they refer to the label owner Tony who called Jeremy and said "I'll sue you" when they were done with the labels crap.
Last breakdown reminded me of "DISRESPECT YOUR SURROUNDINGS!"
So, I'm at work. I haven't listened to this album yet. Listening to the playlist, got to this song. Got to the no fucking respect breakdown. Now my desk is broken, my computer is on the other side of the room, and I want to fight someone. ADTR, you make the best albums, and I love you.
See a therapist
Holy shit man I'm crying of laughter 😂😂😂
Dead.
@@closinginonclosure plot twist, he is a therapist
@@torsades831plot twist, he’s Jeremy🤦♂️😂
That final breakdown though.... Listening to this and knowing everything they went through with Victory gives me chills. This is proof that if you stand up for what you believe in, nothing or no one can stop you! If they put this in their live setlist (Lord, PLEASE) I predict many walls of death. Mark my words! My favorite on the album... right now that is.
What happened with them and Victory? I never knew
Jeremy's word-play cuts deep , will always love this group of gentlemen 🤟❤️
With an album like this, everyday, is a day to remember
ADTR had gotta be one of the best musical sounding bands in this type of genre. This is what a lil garage band turned into and there fricken amanzing. There good live too best live show ever.
Miss this ADTR!!!
I've never found a song that's spoke to me on the level this does like ever
over 6 years later and that last breakdown is still one of the best things I've ever heard in my life
It is always great to come back to this song!
Sometimes You're the Hammer... was gonna be my favorite from this album. Then came this epicness! I wanna see them do this live so bad!
Next to Mr. Highway, this is the best ADTR breakdown.
agreed 119%

THE THIEEEEF
Life lessons learned the hard way, don't forget it
Their most underrated song. Personal favorite
This may be my favorite song from this album. I love this album but something about this song just does it for me. The feels are reals.
Holy shit. Never found a song that described my dovorce perfectly until now. Chills through this whole song .
Amazing work guys. Got me right in my Cortisone
3:27 when that breakdown hit almost snapped my glasses in half faster than thanos snapped his fingers
if i could go back in time, i'd definitely change my yearbook quite to "NO FUCKING RESPECT" - adtr
Everyone gotta listen to this at least once
This song like perfectly describes how I feel about my relationship with my father.
is your father a record label
@@yeetsmith1105 i wheezed
I'm detecting a HUGE Homesick influence here. It's soooo friggin' awesome \m/
This is their second best album spiritual sequel to homesick for sure
I come to this song every time my employer pisses me off.
Regardless of what the three little words actually are, extremely relatable song.
1:56 Dude, I love this lead riff
easily my favorite track off this amazing album! that end breakdown is ridiculous
Right though? This band can get filthy with their breakdowns!
3:27 to the end is an eargasm
This album came out on my 16th birthday!
Best record of the album. This is so amazing, the breakdown is sooo good! Really enjoyed the new album. Please, come to Brazil! We hope you guys come here soon, specially in Curitiba :D
The last minute of this song is life.
this song... I can't handle the awesomeness
this song is so underrated one of their best the breakdown is a massive eargasm
I wish the guitar at the end would've continued a bit longer
Contrary to what other people are saying, the song's entirely aimed at Tony Brummel of Victory Records. The 'three words' referred to in the song are "Just sign here." in reference to the contract that A Day To Remember signed with Victory Records.
+Liam Kilby the 3 words are actually "Ima sue you"
i thought the three words were "no fucking respect." 😂
Nope, there is a version with someone talking in the beginning saying "ima sue you" from the record label.
Man this song is relatable af!... I freakin love it!
That outro gets me every fucking time.
Seeing ADTR April 12th in Arizona
This is the best song on the album
in the backround of the cc, theres a giant cheese burger with a party hat
That's advanced
+Thebubble85 There's also a giant "JUST BUY IT" sign
Also dont forget about the doctor
No Fucking Respect!
XD
OH MY GOD I needed this. Finally getting to listen to the whole thing!
Singing straight to my fucking heart. A Day to Remember still killing it with the new album.
You guys know whats good about A Day To Remember? ...... FUckin Everything
You're all about you, and it's my fast track to an early grave.
Just need to see this through
Do you even sleep at night?
You never could face me,
And you hide behind fake personalities
Because deep down you're scared.
So weak beyond compare.
I gotta get out, I gotta get out.
Why can't we just go our separate ways?
I gotta get out, I gotta get out.
It won't be much farther, I'm counting the days.
The room keeps spinning faster, I'm drifting off to sleep.

No fucking respect.
All hail the thief forever trying to separate you and me.
All hail the thief forever trying to separate

I simply took that the words were "I love you" i never attempted to look into deeper but the comment section tells many story's. Aha
Same for me man
haha me too, i thought it was "i love you"
Yeah same, but the words are actually "Just Sign Here".
RedJesterToons False. It's confirmed of being "No F****** respect."
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLEASE MAKE A VIDEO OF THIS 'EFFIN EPIC SONG.
3:16 best part no fkn doubt.
from there on out its so dope
this is the best album from them it has the blend of both worlds
dat breakdown.
That ending!!!!!... I must hear this live and throw down!!!!!!!
4:38 when the teacher asks if you did the homework last night.
This song still hits so hard! 🤘
This Album got me Through my worst Breakup ever in 2013 I still come back to reminisce about it even though we fixed everything & rekindled months later lol
S/O to ADTR the best band in the world for always putting the lyrics in the description box!
This was the anthem of my divorce. I Would literally do anything to hear this song live. Norfolk VA in November 2024 *cough cough* 😍
on a serious note, i know this song is written about Victory, but every time i read the lyrics, i can't help but draw connections to my experience with my homophobic parents. all the times i tried to suffer through conversation with them, to get to a good part where we could all be happy at the same time. all that time i spent in the closet, indoctrinated to their beliefs. for me, the three little words are "it's an abomination."

My favorite ADTR song ♥️
"Do you even sleep at night? Or does your conscience run to wild?" Ahhh. Goods
got a new favorite songs
Survived 3:26 with 2 health, but got insta-killed at 3:42
3:26 they thought the demon was exorcised
3:42 on the ceiling, head backwards, spitting blood and headbanging
I always thought the "three little words" were I love you
Wow this song is absolutely my favorite song, like ever.
A good band. They have songs I don't like but alot that I do since the beginning.
One of my fav songs by adtr :D
3:11
1) I love this song - it's amazing.2) Not sure why, but ADTR played none of the songs of this album when I went to see them recently - not sure if there's anything behind this.3) 'All hail the thief forever trying to separate you and me - what's the meaning behind this exactly?
jereme's screams is different in this album!!!but the break downs are still f***k awesome!!!!
So relatable.
it's about the producer of past albums threatening to sue..... three little words are "i'll sue you" but it can take on so much more lol
Brian Alexander lol I didn't know about the threats to sue fro. victory, always thought the three little words were "I love you" lmao
I love this song
What if someone did mashup of this and The Danger in Starting a Fire? It would be called, "The Danger In Speaking For Yourself".
Ese último breakdown fue tan intenso que me hizo crecer un tercer ojo xd
this song reminds of old school when those have heart
Everyone's flaming over what the "three little words" are
And I'm just sitting here
Chillin' with a Triscuit box.
Oh wait... actually... you know what? Never mind.
These three little words is “no fucking respect”.
Love the song
This song definitely has dual application. I know people say it has to do with contract dispute the the N.F.R., but we all though about this song in context of a significant other
When they said “no fucking respect”... I FELT that shit
O melhor som do álbum. Ouvindo em 2021.
Story of my life about three years ago when I filed for divorce... ADTR
I'm sure it's been said before but, the lyrics "all hail the thief forever trying to separate you and me" to me are like Jeremy telling Victory Records music is all he has
Probably
NO FUCKING RECESS !!!
hahahaha... yes.
You turned your back you broke this home
Honestly i think they want the fans to look at their music the way they want it could be anything that's why he didn't tell us the 3 little words.
Does anyone know what's happening at the end? I know this song is about Victory, but idk what the ending part is.
Landry Saathoff the whole song is about them battling with Victory Records and how they want to separate and just be the band.
they actually found out today that they won the court case
Alisha Kay oh ok I already guessed that, but what's happening in the end part??
Landry Saathoff I think they're just kinda mocking Victory Records. They say "all hail the thief; forever trying to separate you and me" like they're saying "look the thief is trying to separate us but he never will."
hopefully that makes sense, I could be wrong though
The ending is them sending the email that they wanted to enter the legal dispute with Victory.
Good song
2020? Y'all still here?
Has anyone seen them perform this live after 2014?
@shannon pavlak - you realize this song is about all their recent legal trouble and shit, right? Jeremy has said this in multiple interviews. it's not about love, it's about being told "ill end you"
Tbh I'm not really into this album as much as the earlier ones but I really love this song, it reminds of something off of Homesick.
The outro is the hardest part of this song
I listened to this way too much.
Crazy fast forward to 2012 vibes
quick question though, what Three Little Words are they talking about? :P
Tony Brummel from Victory told ADTR "i'll end you"
*****
ah thanks! ive listened to the song over and over (not complaining) trying to see if he said something in the lyrics! thanks for ending my OCD!
hoofhearted4 no problem mate, haha. many people come to the conclusion that those three words are "no fucking respect" but Jeremy said in an interview that 'the document speaks for itself' is about the lawsuit with Victory and the infamous 'i'll end you' which started the band's dilemma with the label.
