Great video! Great views! This video has just made me to make up my mind about my next trip to DPRK; it will be by train, from Oporto to Paris, Warsaw, Moscow, Vladivostok, Pyongyang. On my way back, I will follow this itinerary in reverse. -Very nice!
Actually the train in the video is considered mediocre with less than 80MPH/hour. CRH bullet train is actually of the fastest (150 MPH/hour) in the world
From Beijing - Dandong then get off the train then get on the train from Dandong- Pyongyang will be more economic than Beijing - Pyongyang. And start the tour from Dandong- Pyongyang will be more economic than start tour with the train from Beijing - Pyongang.
Nurul J For us it took totally about 10 hours from Dandong to Pyongyang. Example of schedule: Departure from Dandong: 09:35 Sinuiju: 10:45-14:15 (for us border clearance took about 4 hours at North Korean side) Arrival in Pyongyang: 19:30
@l33g0 Ok, i thought that he was giving food to people living around here... It's first time I see that, a guy who throw out the carbage from a train. Anyway, thank you for showing your trip!
OMFG. These trains still seem not to have any sort of safety doorlock. Can be opened while in full travel. Quite dangerous for people with and for children...
I don't think that's a big issue in countries where parents look after their kids properly and children have more sense than to open doors on moving trains. Other countries have things which us in the West would consider dangerous but to them it's not even something they think about. They don't need to be bubble wrapped and protected from themselves.
@steveo5556 - You could have a point. He might be tossing out something of significance. Surely there'd be somewhere on the train to put rubbish. With the first bundle, he seems to be checking momentarily what's out there, takes care to throw the bundle clear of the train, and looks back, possibly to see that it landed safely. He then appears to be hurling the second bundle away from the train as well. If he were just littering, why would he bother making any more effort than just dropping the rubbish out the door?
What a difference once you are over the Bridge you are entering years back totally different as China....But despite North Koreans cant read our comments as they are not allowed to use internet its forbidden...they have propagandanet....Thank you for this Vlog...
Vraiment! Îl faut n'oublier pas que la Coree du Nord est encore comuniste et isolee. C'ezt pour ca que la qualite qui se reflecte dans toutes les choses est faible!
heard you're not allowed to bring cam or phone to north korea, not even taping with cam. i wonder how did you take this vid freely? :) thanks for the insight by the way!
Yes, it's possible. We arranged our trip through a travel agent in Europe. Please note that North Korea can only be visited by an organised and guided tour.
l33g0 this may sound like a dumb question, but when I get off the train/plane do I just look for my guide and go with them, or do I have to book for one??
Noah Ward You have to book your tour and local guide beforehand. There are tour operators and travel agencies available online. We booked through a small travel agent in Europe.
North Korea is so beautiful, its natural, India used to be like this sometime before not anymore, in the name of development all the farming fields are taken by the Corporate and all the Water channels have become polluted. North Korea, you are better of how you are, don't compare yourself with shitty Countries from West. You are beautiful and natural. God bless North Korea, people and your leader Kim sir.
the real thing, no bad commentary or incongruous music. excellent.
Thank you!

while entering the Tianjing Main Station there we could see some German-Style Trains... the 'ICE' Type Express Liners. Quite interesting.

Holy shit... It's not only driving into a different country, it's like driving into a different time!
It’s like it’s not a train, it’s a delorean
Beautiful countryside!- I am impressed!

Those are the new CRH high-speed trains. They're all over China now.
@l33g0 Ok, i thought that he was giving food to people living around here... It's first time I see that, a guy who throw out the carbage from a train. Anyway, thank you for showing your trip!

I wonder when was the last time a train in NK hit 100 kph safely?

At 8:55 that must be an attached car from a Moscow-Beijing train.
Why are they throwing away the garbage in the field?
Thanks!
Nice romanian & russian wagons !
13:42...thats totally shocking doing such a thing!
At that point they were in North Korea. Maybe he is dropping food for villagers?

Oee thing for sure, North Korea's rail infrastructure is a feck better than our railways in Ireland, even the toilet is in better condition.
toyotaprius79 This is a Chinese carriage. Not a North Korean one.
Nice to see uncover country.
Thanks.

Anyone mind telling me what soundtrack is used in this video? I know its been like, 11 years lol, but soundtrack is spoopy and cool.
bello sembrano quelle piccole stazioni poco usate oggi come baschi sulla linea roma orvieto
It’s not a train; it’s a DeLorean. C’mon Marty! Whatever you do, don’t go to 2020!

good video,,the trains look good, but a lot of poor people and buildings around,,
Les trains en Corée du Nord n'ont pas le confort des trains de la SNCF
Vraiment!

Right.

+Istri Aktif Chinese protection maybe. He did this inside the train so maybe it's still in China's jurisdiction, I don't know.
Yeah perhaps... thanks for your kind response! :)
This train is faster than Amtrak
kosopet I've seen Amtrak Trains fly by an NJ Transit Express I was on at 135mph
Lol😂
@anaelle7891
Throwing out the carbage
