Watched this a while ago and didn't quite appreciate how useful it was until investigating the Novation Launch Control and Launch Pad. I have been looking around for control surfaces for Ableton Live and with so many available options it has been difficult to commit to any hardware controller. But now, definitely going to have to get both of these. Thank you.
thanks Loudon! Your tutorials are always well executed and thought out. You've accelerated my learning of Live. I have a similar setup as what you've shown here, but more for mixing using the launch ctrl xl. Novation is makingbsome really great devices.
Hi, Thank you for this demonstration. I'll ask you a question about your usb adapter ... what is its name and model ? I wanna buy one to connect my NI maschine mk2, my external sound card and master keyboard ... do you help me to choose the best adapter for my iMac ? Thank you for your answer. Kind regards, DRJ.
Greetings my friend, you are slick with the controls, I learned a lot, I brought this prior to watching your video and had a difficult time setting it up with Ableton live 9 and push2. I got everything right now thanks to you my friend. Stay slick, you dig? Peace, ~GrandDaddy Frost~
Yes! and I think is pretty close to an Orico AS7C2-SV. www.ebay.com.au/itm/ORICO-AS7C2-SV-Aluminum-7-Port-USB-3-0-Hub-with-2x-BC-1-2-Charging-Function-/171758113435?hash=item27fd94d29b:g:K24AAOSwstxU9ahh
Too much direct-on-face camera work. I don't want to see this guy; either show the computer screen or a behind the shoulder view. There's almost know way of knowing what he's actually doing. Good info but terrible camera work.
Wow, I wasn't expecting this to be a 40 min. commercial for novation... not from Berklee, anyway................. this is NOT a "performance environment"..... everything demoed here can be achieved with a mouse and stock ableton instruments..... this isn't even a GOOD commercial, you are suposed to get talented people doing great stuff so the consumers think the talent comes from the machine.....
we all have that spot in our setup where you just simply have to use the touchpad a little bit, be it because it's the only way to do something or because it's the most straight forward way to do it...
The amount of tips and secrets in this video are beyond anything I´ve seen so far in the last couple of years..!!! Thank you Loudon!!!!!

Yup, you can controll by both keys (they send polyphony) and knobs (I program my Juno 106 vst via it).
Cool mann!
