I don't think this is a fail Joel. I look at it as adding a safety feature. You've done an outstanding job on this house, and look at what you've learned as far as skills, knowledge, and about yourself and each other in the process. This is truly a gift for all of you. Thanks for sharing!

I ran into the same thing. I had power panel on exterior of shop 25 feet from the house being built. The panel was in the basement. I asked the first inspector if I need an exterior one and he said no... go to do rough in.... same inspector says i need it. Not worth pissing him off over 500 bucks and a few hours. So i did it
I wouldn't call this a big fail. I just see this as an inspector playing on the safe side and u have done everything they have asked until then.
Oh and keep up the hard work dude u have done an incredible job.

Where I live, you have to have to be licensed to do any electrical work on your house. Consider yourself lucky.
@BHch6uk same here and people don’t realise if you have a mortgage, it’s in the fine print all work has to be carried out by a licensed contractor and also your home insurance can be voided.
@@9eyeswideopen We wouldn't even get a certificate of occupancy if we did it ourselves. Same with plumbing and structural work.
How long did it take from breaking ground to finally finishing Joel ? Sorry to be nosey will you and Bonnie do a house tour.

Usually, the inspector has to find something wrong. Can't give you a good pass. You have done everything you can, no need to be embarrassed when the inspector changed their mind.
Why does the inspector have to find something wrong? My inspector didn't.
