I was actually watching the end of his game against the Kings. Was just trolling for something to watch after the penguins game, and saw him score the winner, and now I regularly check in on the Wild to watch him play.
Just ONE reason why the Wild are worth watching this season!!!

This kid is amazing and an outstanding teammate. He kept passing up shots early on and would try to set up other guys instead, which he did a lot. They had to tell him to shoot the puck more because he’s such a game breaker. In the last 3 games he’s scored 4 goals and an assist on 20 shots. Message received. He’s so damn likable and funny with his contagious smile and funny facial expressions. Almost doesn’t seem Russian. He’s already taken sticks to the face, to the back of the head by Burns, and had the side of his face stitched up after taking a shot to the ear. Kept on going and he doesn’t back down.
Just my curiosity. Why this guy (from Siberia) doesn't seem russian. Just trying to understend your us/canadian thought process. It's not offensive at all but just my question. What a wird immagination u have about people from that country. Your argumentation please
@@danib8435 I grew up during the latter half of the Cold War and the arms race. No exaggeration, but as a kid every night before bed I feared a nuclear war with the USSR. The media didn't help back then and they STILL point to Russia as being the US's #1 adversary - even though it's clearly China. Now I ignore the Russian BS, but not back then. Kids my age felt the same and Afghanistan further inflamed the situation. Russians were intensely disliked and feared. I doubt you're old enough to remember the US's supposed need for SDI to ward off an ICBM attack. This was real and so were the fears.
Because of the iron curtain and because of limited technology back then, the only time you saw Russian hockey/players was in international play. Wrong or right opinion at the time, they played with little emotion. (If they did, you never saw it in their body language). All Russian Olympic athletes at the time appeared this way to Westerners. The 1980 Olympics highlighted this for Americans as Russian hockey players presented themselves as stern and stoic - regardless of the scoreboard. It was more of a well experienced, well oiled, productive machine as opposed to emotional play. Watch Red Army and Fetisov admits this. I suspect the way the Red Army teams handled themselves was a product of the way they trained and were treated by the coaches. Fetisov also admitted they had to be a machine because they were a propaganda tool to show to the world that the Soviets and Soviet system was the best. They looked emotionless to me. When I say Kaprizov doesn't appear Russian, it comes from a past bias and belief that Russians are emotionless on the ice. That's wrong when you look at the funny and interesting Russian players through the years since the fall of communism. However, in my defense, if Kap played back then, he too, would likely show little emotion. It's a different time and I now think Finns and Slovaks play very stoic!

PS: Fault of stiff rules and hard training Fetisov and Larionov got some dollars in NHL. But they would never thank coach or sistem that trasformed them in superstars.
Would u deny your teacher if he kicked your ass every time u have done something wrong? If u have interior strength u wouldn't and it's not discussion about hockey player but personal quality.
