This song is so mind blowingly cleverly written. Inserting Greek mythology as metaphors is just wow. This the first time i heard a song so uniquely written and sung. I remember listening to it for the first time and the moment I heard river Styx I was hooked, especially being such a big Greek myth fan.
One of the metaphors of Arachne that adds to this that J didn't mention was the fact that while Arachne was indeed just as skilled or even better than Athena at weaving, the content of her tapestry was of the fods' greatest humiliations. Her crime was hubris- and the web she spun was not only beautiful but arrogant and cruel. Athena cursed her to become the spider to forever weave and then destroy her masterpieces catching only the most foolish of prey. Arachne picks apart the flaws of others while seeing herself as flawless. She presents a massive shining and attractive ego that draws you in, but rather than recognize your strengths keeps you feeling bad about yourself. Ultimately? Abuse.
This is surreal and mind blowing! I didn't think that the lyrics would have much deeper interpretations! I never thought I would get a video breaking down or explaining the song omg... I LOVE IT ITS PERFECT

Me when I use a Greek mythology pun, and now have to explain the whole story for them to understand it:

She looks like an Egyptian princess. Like Cleopatra.
I hate to be that person but Cleopatra was greek. She is a Ptolemaic, her family came from Greece an Macedonia

I am literally reading Mythos by Stephen Fry because of this song. I'm into Greek mythology atm;)
You're such a genius, i love all your metaphor that was lit 🔥🔥🔥
Knowing all the myths
Awesome! 😳
Ugghh this song its legit so good, the more i learn about it the more i love it
I love greek mythology OK
💕💕💕💕
I always thought no strings attached was an Ariadne's string reference.
Wish this was a track in smite
but isn't heracles roman and hrecules is greek , I'm confused
Hercules is the Roman counterpart of the Greek figure Heracles, the child of Zeus and the mortal Alcmene
That is whats called lyrics
The song is corny. And it’s hella auto tuned. It’s a no for me.
You can hear that it is her real voice. Just no background at all. Also its not corny, its telling how awful this love is yet you can't get away
