    That intro where you tested the heat treat was one of the best tutorials I have seen. Your artistry is always top notch, but showing that detail was so impressive. Thank you. Your videos are one of my favorite entertainment

    The shop improvements are wonderful. I think a chute that pulls out of the forge hood over the quench tank would be awesome. Like an upside down drawer that pulls out to collect the 😷 nasty 💨billowing white lung crushing smoke.
    Also a hinge on the normalizing tank! Make life easy man your career is hard enough 😆

    Man, that belt grinder is moving fast! What speed do you run that at? You don’t find that you heat up the steel too quickly at those fast speeds?

    • @freerkwieringa275
      @freerkwieringa275  6 лет назад

      it depends, if you press hard. most of the time i cool them regularly at higher speeds.

    Still using lime hey.... I have 30 years experience in heat treatment and vermiculite is orders of magnitude better and cleaner as I have told you before.

  • @0GregorSchultz0
    @0GregorSchultz0 6 лет назад

    although I really admire your designs....I come to think that they are all a little to thick.....I mean, 7 to 4 mm is the general thickness....concerning my taste at least....
    yours look great non the less, but I think they are all a little bit to....lets say clunky..
    but keep up your designs, they look awesome :)

    • @JohnSmith-gs4lw
      @JohnSmith-gs4lw 6 лет назад

      0GregorSchultz0 I’ll disagree. Nothing clunky about them. Yes, they could be a bit thinner, but without know what steel he’s using, and everything the customer wants to use them for, it’s a bit premature to question the design parameters or stylistic choices.

    • @0GregorSchultz0
      @0GregorSchultz0 6 лет назад

      yeah clunky might be the wrong word, but you admit that they are a little thick....I guess bulky would have been a better word :D otherwise I agree with you
