Great reaction. You aren't the only reactor I've seen brought to tears by the live version. This is one time when I can say the live is by far the superior version of the song.
Yeah ! This is what is absolutely the most incredible thing about this live performance. The raw emotion and power and oscillation between the ghoul taking over the protagonists mind and the sweet human who is losing their mind. She's flipping from ghoul to human word by word and syllable by syllable. It's powerful, emotional and the most incredible display of control I've seen and doing this LIVE and more intricately developed than the studio version is unbelievable. HOW can someone do this to such perfection?
Ado is still relatively new/young in her career, but she's already huge in Japan(to the point that it's easier to get live tickets outside of Japan to see her/possibly even cheaper as well). I've followed her since she was doing cover songs in highschool, and she's just polishing her skills at this point.
I just saw her in Chicago. Absolutely incredible. Highly recommend everything by her. Check out Tot Musica or the other songs she sang for One Piece: Film Red

Crime and punishment is quite a heavy one, so leaving it for the next time was a good decision 😅 I think there different ways to continue exploring her music. She has 3 albums: - Kyogen (Her first album; Ussewa, Odo, Gira Gira are from it) - One piece Film: Red (7 songs + 1 bonus; Each one is drastically different from one another) - Ado No Utattemita album (it’s a cover album, also very ranging in genre and style) - She also has many great non-album original songs and covers. Personally, for now I think you might wanna continue exploring her “Kyogen” album since you started it and go with “Readymade”, “Ashura-chan”, etc. Or check her latest release “Value” which is also great. *As for One piece film red album, I think listening to the entirety of the album consequently is the coherent and better way to try it
