So to break it down. Crystal dynamics due to time and money restraints had to cut around 1/3rd of the game. In the bonus content you can acrually visit the cut content worlds but you cant do anything in them. All the cutscenes raziel saw at the end in the cronoplast was what was supposed to happen. Originally Raziel would have killed kain but instead we got this ending
Glad we have people like u supporting this series. Soul Reaver 2 is pretty cool as well alot of puzzles less boss battles. You get to explore nosgoth in different time periods its pretty dope
About you not liking revenge stories all that much: Don't worry about it. This series is so much more than that, and you're about to find out. In fact, Kain already dropped plenty of hints of the true main themes of the series in that final conversation before the fight. This is a story about fate and free will and the drama that arises when those two concepts clash.
Soul Reaver 1 began as a story about vengeance and ended as a time-travel plot. Now, you gotta play Soul Reaver 2. It is AMAZINGLY WELL WRITTEN!! OMG what a game!!
About the whole "revenge plot" thing, that will get pushed asied really fast in the second game as new bits and pieces of the story get uncovered. Also cant wait for you to play the second game. While it does have some problems regarding gameplay and pacing, the story and dialogue are on another level! So many reveals and twist!
@LIZZgame Yeah, I did like it. I might take a look, but my ball and chain would most likely start bugging me if I started doing that. Besides, beauty can hurt sometimes. So I'll drop by 😊. Have you tried writing some of your own songs, cause even if you tried privately. There might be some money to be made off of your passion. And just to risk writing an essay; the interwebs is vast. Many opportunities to be had.
Hi Lizz, I don't think you played it when the original came out? I'm 50, that's when I also had that anxiety about the 2nd part. I don't remember how much later it came out, but it was worth the wait. The graphical leap was huge and, most importantly, there were no guides, just the desire to overcome the puzzles and the game in general by yourself. Regards, and I liked your humor during the gameplay... seeya
Malek dies trying to save the circle and is thus cursed by Mortanius. His soul never rests, he shall serve and shall never again know the pleasures of flesh. Btw. So there was no body for Kain to resurrect. That is why there was no casket
True. Malek was supposed to spend eternity imprisoned in his armor, at least until Vorador destroys him for Kain to then collect his helmet and offer it to the Pillar of Conflict in order to restore it.
Thew Oracle's cave would be very familiar to anyone who played Blood Omen. The last few scenes in the chronoplast chamber (or rather, the hallway leading to the chamber) are scenes from the cut content. You were supposed to consume Ariel to enhance the reaver to be able to kill Kain, then the reaver turns red when you consume Kain's soul. Raziel was then supposed to activate the pipes in the cathedral to kill all remaining vampires, and a new enemy would've been revealed. So it still would've ended on a cliffhanger, just a different one. Also, Turel and a human priestess were supposed to be bosses at some point. I hope after playing SR2 that you decide to play Lok: Defiance. It is on PC. Blood Omen 2 was released between SR2 and Defiance, but I feel like it makes more sense to play Defiance first because it is a direct continuation of SR2, and the events of BO2 can only happen after the events of Defiance, which can only happen after the time-changing events of SR2 lol. I gather from another comment that you've already played SR2 before uploading these videos, so I'm not worried about spoiling that.
You can still try to find all the other Magic Glyphs (you just found one) the Puzzel tidet to them are realy great and worth it. The Health and Magic capacity upgrades however are not worth the trouble.
So how did you like it? I must have been tough to play this old game without knowledge, nostalgia and from a modern gaming perspective. The story really holds up, though. Not many serious (and well written) vampire stories like this exist today. ❤
Wait did you break the game or something? 😅 if I remember correctly you had to fight Kain 3 times and you battled him twice. Also I remember many areas you didn't go and many power-ups you didn't get, like the lightning, the earthsake, the flame explosion. But still you beat them game 🤔 I guess it's like Bad Omen where you can finish the game without having all the power ups and without visiting all areaa

Amazing, now we're onto the masterpiece of writing which is SR2!
Lizz: ‘Let’s get down to business’ *jump scare!* 😮😮😮😅
A STREAMER might seize upon a chance, a fatal slip- and plunge the fate of planets into chaos.
I'm loving this series

I've never played the 2nd part before now, only ever started the 1st, without getting far, since it was too tough for lil me :D

I did NOT see that coming.

Thank you :)
I like it
@1:12:47, you said "I thought there was one more brother to fight"... yes, you are right, Turel, but he was cut from this game, as so many things !!
sad!

I struggled a bit with knowing where to go at times, but I LOVED the puzzles and boss fights, the voice acting was phenomenal and the story was great!
Fire 🔥 reaver causes your projectiles to one shot burn enemies
❤❤❤❤❤❤
❤🎮🫡
Of you go to settings and put out the hints then it’s for the die hards 👊😉
Wait did you break the game or something? 😅 if I remember correctly you had to fight Kain 3 times and you battled him twice.

all these seem to be extra, not necessary.
