  • Presented at The Noguchi Museum, New York, from March 10-May 23, 2021, ‘Koho Yamamoto: Under a Dark Moon’ exhibited never-before-shown abstract works by this little-known great postwar expressionist painter, who turns 100 years old on April 14, 2022.
In this video, two of her students, Jaya Duvvuri and Eva Mihovich, who first studied with Koho Yamamoto at her Koho School of Sumi-e on MacDougal Street, New York (1974-2010), describe what they find fascinating about her abstractions and their experiences of her teachings.
