Don't pick up the book! Interesting for a short short. I would love to see this extended. Showing what might exist on the other side of "the door". Good cinematography, too.
Familiar face! Interesting how roaming on the internet looking for short films and happen to stumble upon this one. Went to high school with her, I remember her because I was going for talent show she was also going too, nice short film btw!
@@davidselva3546 um okay😂, it's basically about this person that is reading about black holes and the universe and that sort of thing. And then this magical door opens (suggesting that perhaps that is a black hole?). Then she is locked in there and someone else also picks up the book for the same door to appear again. I think they are kind of hinting to the curiosity of people and who much we desire to know the unknown and the magical.
hmmm interesting stuff... would have been a super cool shot when she walks in to have all the lights lead up to the camera and she now stands stuck within a new frame of her creation... Or even reverse it so when she walks in have it lit up and then have the lights turn off on her... Where did she go?? might be an interesting alternative. Overall like this a ton!
can I ask you how is your idea come for? I also taking Art and Design course and doing the same thing like you need to take a short film for assignment. And I already stop for few week for my process.
@ang benjiming If i'm understanding your comment correctly I think you're asking how I came up with the idea and that you're doing a project similar to mine. I came up with this idea after seeing a play my collage performed. In the play they had these stand alone doors. I thought it would be interesting to use in a film. I brainstormed for a couple of hours and came up with this idea. A short 3 minute film with a very simple story. My advice would be to see what resources you have available (a location, a prop, an actor) and build a story around that. I knew the idea would work because I had the door and the locations in mind, all I needed to do was create a story around these resources. For a small class project I would try that approach. Also, the time frame for this film was very limited. I think I realistically had 2-3 weeks to do this assignment. If you have more time to work on your assignment (4-5 months) try expanding your horizons and try challenging yourself but also be realistic.I hope this answered your question and helped you out! Good luck with your film! :)

Really well done! It's easy to forget how much work and effort is put into a short film. Good job!
For a film shot purely static, it was well done! A great visual story!
Don't pick up the book!

Great work, I love how there's no dialogue but it's still very understandable

That was really nicely shot and had a very interesting concept.
This was really good! Loved how you succeeded to pull me into the story, the on point soundeffects really helped!
Please explain the story I can't understand please

Did you color grade? Was it shot with a flat picture style?
@martinremixful I graded the footage in DaVinci Resolve and I shot everything in CineStyle which is Canon's "flat" picture style.
