I remember in middle school that some girls told me that my best friend wanted to talk to me in the bathroom, and I went to see what she wanted, but she wasn't in the bathroom. When I got back to class, the binder I kept my sketches in was gone. It made me so sad, and I cried my heart out. I found out later that my "best friend" threw my binder away. It really hurt me that she would do such a thing.
I love hearing the journeys of other artists! It's so inspiring to see your art along the way and just how different art journeys can be from one person to the next.
You are so very lucky to have been able to focus on your art so early in your life! I am excited to learn even more about your art journey in future videos! Go Erika!
Wow. Our stories are parallel in some ways! I grew up drawing tons of Pokemon fanart. I also went to school and studied animation, then realising animation is tough and requires a lot of patience. Now that I've graduated from school and started working, I decided recently that I would honestly rather focus more on illustration than animation.
Really lucky. My mom has a hobby of throwing things nobody touches so I basically lost every old artwork I had even though I begged my mom to let me keep them, she didn’t bother to let me keep them.
@@cupcaakey That sucks, I'm lucky that my mum kept everything from when I was a kid, as a teenager I kept my art pretty private at home so she probably didn't know how much I had 🤣 Or maybe she did and I just didn't know about it.
Pokemon was also my favorite thing to draw as a kid!! Sadly they were all on paper that I don't have anymore so it didn't make it into the art journey video I just posted, but I remember drawing ash with his hat shadow over his face and I was really proud of it, lol. Also I hope anyone reading this has a good day! Chase your dreams!! :D
Would you believe me I'd I said I have that same purple folder and it's also filled with old computer paper drawings? I personally also had a binder with my art in laminated folders that I brought to school everyday in Middle School.
for my whole life ive loved drawing, im 9 years old now and can do some pretty good drawings (for my age) . my art from when i was 4-6 is about the level of your art when you were 6-7, man was I born to be a prodigy?
I have a question if noone minds 😅, after five years of drawing i did manage to improve but not at a level that i am satisfied with it.So i End up being annoied when my art doesn’t turn out the Way i want it to.Sometimes i can’t even point out what bothers me about my art and its frustrating, so if anyone has any advice whatsover it would be really apriciated
