Nice tutorial! But you forgot to mention to the viewer that this process is not a high resolution replacement. As of now Photoshop only allows 1024x1024 pixels of high resolution. People that are learning this process needs to be aware of why their selection replacements look a little bit soft.

100%. It works well for slightly blurred backgrounds IMO still since it doesn't need to look perfectly sharp. Hopefully that changes in the future as this technology improves!

Is generative fill a lot quicker to generate results in the US? In the U.K. or Europe it takes three times as long as this to produce its results. Someone needs to test this with a timer, and publish the results online in a RUclips video.
Or Maybe the video was edited?

The video was edited to trim the loading time in most cases. Nobody wants to watch a loading screen in a youtube video :D I'd say it takes anywhere from 5-30 seconds for me depending on the size of the fill.

if you have a 45 mp file, does using generative fill create low resolution patches where its used?

It is the first time that thieves (people who stole photoshop using bit torrent websites) are prevented from using new features. To use generative fill you need a Photoshop license.
      This is a good thing

Doesn't work. Still generate random objects when the prompt is empty. This video isn't accurate nor up to date.

I'm new to photoshop so I'm not sure if it's just me but the generative fill option doesn't pop up after I circle a subject with the lasso tool. Is there a setting I should have on for it to pop up after circling unwanted people in my photos?

Hey! You may have hidden the bar. You can bring it back by going to Window > Contextual Task Bar. Let me know if this helps. :) ^CM

Can you fill with some popular people, for example Mark Zuckerberg?!
