BEST PS channel on all of the internet. Been at this for decades and still learn so much from this channel. This channel regularly puts out quality learning that's equal or better than college.
You possess exceptional talent and surpass all other Photoshop-focused channels in your ability to create and execute complete photographic projects, which you then masterfully edit in Photoshop, as you once did. Why not revisit this approach once more?
I'm so glad to see this. When adding to an ebook cover image to a the much larger paperback cover, losing quality is irritating. And the new expansion feature will really help.
gen fill quality is still not great even after using the enhancing detail button , im still finding myself using "high pass sharpening" to try and make it fall in line with the rest of the scene though im sure it will get better with time and updates one thing id like to see is gen fill sourcing from your own images on your hard drive rather than via the cloud .. example , say you had an image of some nice trees but you wanted to put some bushes just behind the tree is to take and blend those bushes in from another image that ive taken thats already on my hard drive or my library of raws , now that would be a game changer
Hi Bill! New features typically take some time for testing and polishing before they make it to the main release. In the meantime, keep an eye out for updates and announcements from Adobe. As for pricing, all the beta features are currently included with your Photoshop subscription, so no extra charge there. Make sure you check how many credits you have available though. You can do so, by accessing your Adobe account.
Unfortunately, the generative fill feature produces low-quality images. I hope this is fixed in the future. As for the enhance button, it's just a trick that creates a cheap result that cannot be used for commercial purposes in any way.
Hi Ken! Here is a little more info on how the credits get applied helpx.adobe.com/firefly/using/generative-credits-faq.html (check the table at the bottom of the page)
So does generative fill look at the whole photo when interpreting your prompt? That is, is it a coincidence that it matches the pink dust already in the photo, or is that done purposefully?
Hey there! Yes, generative fill analyzes the entire image! In this case, it uses the pink dust in the photo to inform its creation, making the replacement look natural.
Hi Mickey! Make sure you've made a selection before attempting to use Generative Fill. The bar should appear once you've selected the area you want to fill. Also, check if the Contextual Task Bar is enabled. This feature displays relevant tools and options based on your current actions. Go to Window > Contextual Task Bar and ensure it's checked.
I'm getting a "white layer" when clicking the enhance detail. I'm wondering if it's an OS issue? I'm running Monterey v12.7.3, MacBook Pro 16-inch 2019.
It seems like the AI on generative fill in Photoshop is getting worse. For example, I said “natural light reflection from a window” on a plain wall and was getting heavily distorted images of film camera lights on stands. 95% of my simple prompts are unusable. It feels like Adobe is way behind in the AI game compared to other photo generators.
They're also going about it the right way though. Unlike Midjourney etc, they aren't stealing people's photographs off the internet and are using photos only submitted to them. So we have to remember that ad well.
@@annaandreeva4936 I don't use other photo generators. I prefer to use only images that people want to have used. Instead of having images taken. I'm not sure how this will play out in court later as its a pretty grey area. So, personally, I've just decided to stay away from them. But to each their own.
Hi Daniel! It's definitely a powerful tool still under development, and we appreciate you sharing your experience. While it may not be there yet, Adobe always looking to refine how it interprets user prompts to get more accurate and usable results. In the meantime, have you tried playing around with different wording for your prompts? Sometimes a slight rephrase can make a big difference.
I got all excited b/c Aaron said the new feature "is in Ps". It's not in Ps (which is the commercial, production release) afterall. It's in the beta! The still in test mode product that some ppl - optionally - are willing to risk working with. I wish video makers would disclose, right up front, that the product they are featuring is the not yet stable beta that a lot of us are not using (for various reasons) b4 we spend time watching a video only to discover it's irrelevant. Thx!
The title of the video is literally "New Generative Fill Enhance Feature Explained (Beta)". And he said it was only in the Beta version less than a minute and half into the video.
@@FotomakerAcademy Hello. Look at the title of the video directly under the video screen (above the subscribe button). It says "New Generative Fill Enhance Feature Explained (Beta)". And listen to the video's audio starting at 1:20. I know that Beta is a different product (I have both).
It has come to my attention that your channel has experienced a decline in subscribers over recent years. This may be due to a certain complacency in producing more in-depth videos that require advanced editing skills, rather than focusing on simpler content, which is already abundant on RUclips.
I learned everything about PS from you Aaron. I miss your tutorials like Bakster and Dark Force.

where photoshop beta is found? Also, is it possible to change the entire backgrounds, so that a person can create a entire studio for RUclips videos?
Any idea when this will be reaching Photoshop proper? Also, is Adobe charging for this at this point? Great video too!
