    Hey Jinne! I went to town today and bought some things at Dollar General to top off my pantry. I might go tomorrow as there's some good sales going on. I don't have a lot of room in the freezer but I won't need much to fill it up again. I'm glad to know how to do this salad dressing because anything that adds more flavor to a meal is good.

    Adding the powdered milk surprised me because I thought you added that only to mix with water to create a dressing. Am I correct in understanding, therefore, that the powdered milk is actually a significant part of the flavoring mixture?

    • @HomesteadCorner
      @HomesteadCorner  2 года назад +1

      I use it as part of the flavoring mixture be ause we use it alot dry, to add to pop corn casseroles, veggies, it give it a creamy texture.

    Looks delicious, to be used as both a dressing or dip, and of course even as a baked potato topper. I always have two bottles of dressing on the table - one for the salad and one for the baked potato. Of course the pantry includes a full selection of choices: Ranch, French, Thousand Island, Balsamic Vinaigrette, Blue Cheese, Italian, Russian, Caesar - and of course good old honey mustard.

    Hello I am sorry to bother you but I need some advice.. right now I am recieving Food Stamps and getting extra assistants from the pandemic. I have been using those to my advantage and have been stocking piling hard.. But my ? is now that I am getting pretty full and I am canning as much as I possibly can do I continue to spend these to stock up or save them for hard times? This has been weighing on my mind so I thought I would ask you opinion.. Thanks so much God bless

    • @HomesteadCorner
      @HomesteadCorner  2 года назад +2

      I would worry if you saved them up, they may think you don't need as much, and the prices are only going to rise. The sooner you buy the cheaper it will be.

    Can someone please answer this question for me?
    Can I put popcorn in a PETE BOTTLE, like a Gatorade bottle, without the oxygen packet, duct tape the top and keep it that way for a year or so. I am not looking to do long term with it, just buying extra popcorn while it is cheap and have empty PEET bottles and thought I would use them for popcorn storage. Any suggestions appreciated!

    • @HomesteadCorner
      @HomesteadCorner  2 года назад +2

      Yes, a Gatorade bottle would be fine... for just a year or 2 the original packaging should work as long as its sealed up.
