@@Chris-vz2kv So lucky yea man, just admit you know nothing about poker. In almost every all in he had, he was winning, or it was a flip. Winning a 50/50 flip is sooooooooo lucky.
When you play cards you don't automatically win with what you are dealt. The cards have to hit the board. So he wasn't "bailed out" he just had the winning hands.
@@Chris-vz2kv There's a lot of strategy going on that's wayyyy beyond the cards. Being good at poker isn't about playing the cards; it's about playing your opponents and reading their betting behaviors and understanding odds regardless of what cards you hold.
They really are, all of the top players all though extremely talented they are even luckier. That’s the biggest factor in gambling anyways, rather be lucky than good
@@johnjoseph7382 not really. I've said this before, but if a mediocre player was dealt A-A every hand, they still wouldn't win a tournament or make money in a cash game.
Watch this again without sound and you will swear the dealer is the greatest card mechanic who ever lived giving Ivy what he needs out of the deck. 😂😂😂😂
It means that 2 through 5 cards are removed from the deck. The rules in terms of betting structures, play of the hand, and showdown are the same as in Texas hold 'em. However, before play begins all cards 2 through 5 are removed (16 cards), thus the total number of cards in the deck is 36. Aces are high, but same as in Texas hold 'em, can make both low and high end of straights. For example, the lowest straight would be (9x-8x-7x-6x-Ax) and the highest (Ax-Kx-Qx-Jx-10x). This changes the probability of hands and alters hand rankings. So, a flush beats a full house as it's less probable.
You know... i missed that - i was wondering why at 8:00 the commentator said Ivey was on a straight draw when he had 87, and the board was K68A; I was so perplexed.
It's a "short deck" where Ace counts as the highest card or a 5, instead of highest card or a 2. The numbers 2-5 have been removed from the deck, so you can make a straight by A6789
I mean tbh Ivey got bailed out so many times, his luck is insane
He’s terrible at poker. He’s just luckier than anyone who’s ever played.

@@whorizon1037let’s talk about the first hand in my opinion great call but anyone can have aces and kings so why go all in with two opponents right.

Ivey... I swear the cards fall for him like God is with him
All skill
@masterboytothemax1599 His skill is beyond extraordinary, but those cards that fall are not in his control.
Bro is definitely edge counting 😂

Forget the actual cards, Phil's play is impeccable

😂😂😂😂
I reckon Phil could get me to fold aces when he’s holding a Community Chest and an UNO card
Lololol…
Lmao
Ivy one of great s of all times.
Tom hates Phil with a passion after that 3 hand run. 😂😂😂
9:20 thought Ivey grew some hair for a second with that design in the background
What’s crazy is I just watched another vid with Ivey beating greenwood with quad lol
ivey is so lucky
Trop de chance le Black ,qui joue au loto il va gagner du premier coup ,il est née part le cul celui la
Let’s go!!!
Thanks guys.
Ivey ran pretty well
thats generally how you win a tournament
What does “short deck” mean ?
It means the numbers 2-5 are excluded from the deck, making Ace the top card or a 5
Просто Фил Айви выбрал правильный жизненный путь
Dwan transferd in a few game his chips to Phil ivey so that he has a fundament for a win...
My man!
Good job 🎉🎉
Sickest tourney win hand you'll ever see (most likely , don't hold me to it)

Short deck,what does that mean.
Played without the 2s, 3s, 4s, and 5s so it's a "short deck".

The best and the luckiest
Not a fan of short deck. Just dont know the numbers. Hell i barely know numbers in a normal deck
Why is the dealer not gently turning the next cards off the deck? That’s not how I was trained and for obvious reasons.
Ivy and TD
Why did he say Ivey had a straight draw with 87o ?
