- What you are hearing is a live four song set of Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons 1964 live concert.
This recording came from Tommy DeVito who had it in his possession for many years. It was just released in the Working Our Way Bock To You Box Set this past summer. As you can hear it is a very clear sounding recording. I’m hoping there is no copyright violations as that is not my intent as other rare material has been posted on RUclips from the box set.
A very rare recording this is and really takes one back to the early live concert sound of The Four Seasons.
I added the introductions as one might be able to tell. I used the introductions from the Four Seasons studio recorded live album from 1965.
I attempted to show some Four Seasons memorabilia the best I could and hope you enjoy it.

WOW!!!! I have never head an early 4 Seasons concert before and they sound absolutely incredible. Valli’s falsetto is just incredible while the Seasons backing and instrumentation is excellent sounding. One heck of Band!!!!
Great concert recording!!!!
If you really wanted to know what the ORIGINAL 4Seasons sounded like live in the early sixties this is as close and as good as it gets!---as the photos show-just 4 guys singing into standup mics, 2 guitars , an organ and a drummer with a few relatively small amplifiers-that was it--no sophisticated sound system at all---I was awe struck the first time i heard them live in 1964 that they could come so close to the record sound--especially Frankie--with so little equiment---truly AMAZING!!1
Yes, compared to concerts we see today, its primitive. But that's part of its charm, isn't it?
@@ns342 EXACTLY!!!
Anthony is so right. Having seen, using Anthony's emphasis, the ORIGINAL 4 Seasons, throughout the 60s, both with Nick Massi and Joe Long, perform so often in New Jersey and New York, it was Tommy on lead guitar, Nick/Joe on bass guitar, and Bob on organ. The first band addition was Ronald Roach on Drums, followed by Joey Cass in 1966. Actually it wasn't later in 63 or early 64 before the 4 Seasons even had a drummer. And it wasn't until late 66 or early 67 before the 4 Seasons added 3 horns to the band as Frankie started releasing solo recordindgs, the most significant of course being Can't Take My Eyes Off You. Tommy, Nick/Joe, and Bob were excellent players as well as singers.
