By this time, their popularity had passed their initial peak in the US, but they remained a very popular band in the UK, and it is gratifying to see them perform here!!! This was a great year for them here, and for Top of the Pops!!! I wish we had this show here in the States!!!
Have just commented I’m lucky enough to see him again on July 2nd at the Royal Albert Hall over here in the UK and he’s 86! I can’t wait He and the original Four Seasons were my favourites in the 60s, particularly Frankie and Gerry Polci the drummer!👏👏👏😘🇬🇧
Hello dear!! I have seen your wonderful comment on my public channel, am so happy and impressed with your support on my career all this years Where are you from?
Well you're right, but they had a "second career" in the mid-70's that was almost as big as their 60's run with "December 1963", "Who Loves You", and Frankie had "My Eyes Adored You", "Grease", "Our Day Will Come", and "Swearin' To God", all of which charted no less than number 11.
5-3-22 Today.Happy 88th Birthday Frankie! Miss seeing you.Still have my 2020 and 2021 ticket.See you in July for my 12th time seeing you in concert. Can not wait ! You always put on the best show and your voice is still the same! My 1st concert was seeing you in 1975 and my eyes still adore you! Love You till forever!

I am so lucky to be able to see Frankie again on July 2nd at the Royal Albert Hall, no one can say he hasn’t stood the test of time! I think he’s 86, there’s not many out there who could be still performing at that age! I can’t wait to see him live again 👏👏👏👏👏👏😘😘😘😘😘🇬🇧
@DavidGreg 1184 I’m good thanks, we are on holiday in Egypt at the moment and still looking forward to seeing him again. Hope you are o.k. Best wishes🇬🇧
@DavidGreg 1184 Missed the message just before, you must notice the difference in weather between Norway and Miami 😂 we have been to Norway, it’s a beautiful country.
@DavidGreg 1184 Apologies for not replying earlier David, as I said we’re on holiday in Egypt and WiFi is very intermittent plus we have been busy on a couple of trips. I don’t mind continuing our chat but it would have to be on this forum as I don’t do any other type of social media.
Love this! Was fortunate enough to see the original 4 seasons 30 years ago!! Also, Frankie with the current lineup! Always an amazing musical experience.
I saw the Seasons live twice between 1966 and 1971. I have never seen a better show by a better band. I still have my autographed program. One of the best of all time bands.

Franky I love you baby. I'm a 42 year old rock and metal player. But your my favorite singer. Your the stud of all studs. I wish I could meet you. I'm a broke outa work loser. But I wanna see you live more than anything in life. That and to sing like you. I'd give anything to learn how to sing like the greatest singer of all. Time I've never left illinois. I'm from a very poor white family. 2 Hours from Chicago. It's dead no work. I'm a recovered opiate addict I did 2 years in prison for some bull crap. They called it burglary but nothing was broken into or stolen. There were lots of old Italian guys where I did my time. I took a job helping them to be around guys like my dearest Grandpa and his friends all living in summer place away from the one huge massive city that is northern illinois. A place on the woods and river all these fine working older mostly folks. Bbq, beer, brotts, guns, horseshoes. darts. And playing instruments and singing. Lots of older buildings and music, from the 50s, 60s, And much more. The 4 seasons were one of the most loved bands. My Grandparents made me try to sing your stuff. My falsetto is nothing great. Lol. Thank god I can play guitar. bass. and keys. Your music is the soundtrack of my childhood and life. Your voice is the most amazing thing. I really do pray, and ask to hear you sing up close in person I know you are really up there in the years. Any of us could die today/tomorrow. My health isnt the best at 42 Iook great. Clean non smoker. But with mystery gut pain hard to live with most often. few days a week and some bleed they cant find. Makes me dangerously Anemic sometimes. If I get a little mono. Etc. Also things like bein exposed to carbon monoxide, or other anything that affects my red blood cells. I'm not going to b e in the golden years like my musical super man here. My God his voice is real magic, and his lyrics are great. Walk like a man kills me.
These jersey boys were the US biggest band, along with the beach boys in 62 and 1963 and would have exploded in popularity in 1964. But something took over music in early 1964 that relegated all American music to the back burner for the rest of the decade. Beatlemania and the British invasion. The world would never be the same again. So glad I lived thru it all.
Wow, thanks for posting! Great, clear video & fantastic to hear them when they were transitioning from the original group to the mid '70s comeback line-up. Though Joe Long didn't have much of a bass voice, huh?
They would repeat this medley when Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons "got back together" in '81. This was when the original plans of having the "retooled" Four Seasons, minus Frankie Valli, start acting as a separate group (with Frankie doing solo works, yet still maintaining co-ownership of the group with Bob Gaudio) didn't work out after the "Helicon" album flopped.
Hard to believe this was TOTP. Never known anyone no matter how famous get to do a medley of past hits on there, you had to have a song, climbing the charts and that's all you got to perform, Beatles, Stones, Queen didn't matter absolutely amazing. Can't say I rated the backing vocals that highly but at least Frankie could still hit the notes back then.
Music is crap too me today I pull out my old records and listen too good music that have meaning in the songs they sing by in my days and you actually can sing along and enjoy .❤️👍
It looks like Gaudio doubled the bass lines with his left hand, there is so little live video from when he played in the band, but this seems to show it more clearly than black and white TV recordings. Can anybody confirm if he indeed doubled the bass and why?
Joe Long-perfect example of how to perform behind a great singer, just love his smiles, expressions, into it , that grabs people musicians!!!! Lost a great bassist/person Being fired and not making a scene, just left. That’s sad to me. Professional
Who's the guitar player who replaced Tommy Devito? Don't recognize him. The beginning of Frankie Vallie and a bunch of Seasons replacements, after Gaudio and Long left too.
Was always curious when Bob stopped performing. Seems like this was his last stand on stage. Joe Long would stay till 75 at least through some Mike Douglas appearances.

Great Music will never die period..

Great line up with Bob Gaudio, Joe Long and Bob Grim backing Frankie up and sounding amazing!!

Who were the members?
Bob Gaudio on the stage?
Joe Long on bass next to Frankie
No Tommy DeVito.
Bob Grim on guitar. Bob Gaudio on keys. Joe Long on bass.
Devito I think left in1971
❤️❤️🇧🇷
As an American I love the Jersey Boys and still do. Talented handsome Italian men
2:32 Bob Gaudio doesn't contact his keyboard. Why?
Not live
This seems like a rare TOTP live performance.
Valii is the Boss!
Watch the movie the Jersey boys that Clint Eastwood director awesome movie it's says it all of their life and Frankie up and downs in his life too.👍

Likely he wrote all the songs in this manner. Seems second nature to him. The bass players played his lines. He is a brilliant composer
@@ronaldzirin345 Yeah that's an interesting theory. Maybe so. It sounds cool to play that way in a band if you do it well.

Was always curious when Bob stopped performing. Seems like this was his last stand on stage. Joe Long would stay till 75 at least through some Mike Douglas appearances.
2024 ❤
By this time Frankie hated singing falsetto. He drifted away from those kind of songs to songs where he could sing in his regular voice.
Never any Republican candidate had the support of boricuas like President Trump, a unique human being and a true patriot. God bless him.
infinite credulity☝🏼

Did he really rock that hair.c
Frankie seemed to have toned it down quite a bit by the 1970’s. But performance is still great nonetheless. 👍
After Godfather ... Frankie...
Same song, different style of music.
