I did the same set up with my 450 fmf header and now the bike over heats quick because that lower coolant hose is so close to the header . Idk are you having same issues at idle ?
this bike is my dream brother, i actually have a KX250F 2017, looks factory as well, but the 22 YZf looking like Star bike is my big dream.. but it is to expensive here in Brazil. Congrats for the bike
Hi TJ, got a quick question when you upgraded the engine with GYTR and a Vortex ECU, did you also add a second fuel injector mounted within the airbox??
Great Question. Unfortunately the app only keeps everything with the stock ecu. Once you install vortex ecu you lose that luxury. Now I use the hour meeting track my maintenance intervals.
The only downside is that they use Vortex. and not GET ECU . Vortex is old tech.... GET you have TRACTION CONTROL to all 2014 and up .MOBILE tuniing is ages better then VORTEX
Lol I’m about to do that with a 23 250f. Finally able to financially get into motocross. Rode for a few years as a teen on a 92 yz250 lol. I plan to get my bike and immediately get it race ready for down the line with A-list suspension and engine work so it’s a beast and ready. IMO if someone has the money it shouldn’t matter what they do
sweet build, I got a 2021 yz250f myself with similar upgrades. I truly believe yamaha has got the best 250 out there.

Love the bike. I am going to have suspension setup for me springs and valved. I have the same bike. Have you thought about doing that.
Yeah I was going to before I got the stock set up to my liking. Right now I’m gonna hold off until it’s time to service my suspension
Where did you get the dunlop lettering for the tires?
I couldn’t find them anywhere so I hand painted them on with tire marker.

Are you still running? No heat shield on the left side of the bike have you had any issues burning your boots? I love the look of no heat shields.
No over heating issues over here. Sorry to hear that!
I now run a FMF Heat shield! My boots would get burned a lot without it.
I like it! Unsure about the air filter lid mod? Does it cause any issues I would feel it would get dirty as hell and create issues a lot faster lol
No I have 130 hours on my bike and no issues at all. Air filters get dirty… that’s why you change them frequently.
