That was fun and the food looked so good. Thank you for not having annoying music covering up the sounds of the place. It made me feel like I was really there.
I love watching you eat, because you can really eat. I would try it all, I'm not picky. Where you were using mayonnaise I'd use tartar sauce. I loved the fruit sandwich, that looked beautiful and delicious, if that makes sense. Thank you my dear loving friend for the video and for the friendship. 😊😊😊 Waiting on the next my ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤
Love this! I find so fun to watch folks just peruse the local markets. Thanks for sharing this. I would definitely go for the chicken and tuna place. Both seemed delish!
Absolutely brilliant video. I love seeing all the fantastic food and places. The prices are a long way from your vending machine food! Worth every mouthful I'm sure. Thumbs up from me.
Thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed the video. The food and places were definitely worth every bite, even if the prices are a bit higher than vending machine snacks. Thumbs up to you too!
Thank you for another great video. If I were a rich person I would be booking a flight from Canada to Japan right now to go there; it's all my favorite types of foods. I've saved a link to this video and put a trip to Japan and Nishiki market on my wish list. Some day I will go there and follow in your footsteps and try all those delicious foods!
What a fascinating market. You must have practised for a long time to manage trying this banquet. The odours of delicious food around the market must have been amazing. As a westerner, it is true I would have been unsure about some of the dishes but I would at least have tried them all. Thank you for sharing this experience with us.
I am also a westerner (and a huge Japan lover), and I can tell you, that Japan is perfect for trying everything. The quality of the food, the safety standards, hygenie standards etc. are so outstanding, that I would have not one single doubt about trying everything.
Thank you for taking us with you ! I would need a hotel nearby because I would like to sample all the dishes for a week lol You should have a tour business !!
@@experience_japan I'm disabled and retired now , I'd love to spend some time in Japan and I'm sure there are plenty of your viewers that would also !!
@@Lowang_Productions Japan is amazing and even though I have been to many countries in the world, for me there is no place that is a special as Japan. However, if you are disabled in a way that makes walking difficult / painful for you, Japan is really not the place for you. Especially in cities like Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka, there is so much walking needed, going up and down stairs, walking for 10 minutes to go to the train etc. that it would be a pain or impossible for people with disabilities. Hopefully you can "travel" to Japan whilst watching great videos like this one.
Thank you so much! The white filling in the fruit sandwich is usually whipped cream, sometimes mixed with a bit of sweetened mascarpone or cream cheese.
It all looked delicious, but I think I'd like to try that waffle the most. It looked so warm and fluffy and melty! I'm not even sure I can get red bean paste where I live, and I have no idea what it tastes like, but that just makes me more curious.
Videos like this made me really curious about otoro but none of the sushi restaurants in my home town serves otoro. Two weeks ago I had to visit the capital city Berlin for bureaucratic reasons. Found a sushi place that serves otoro, tried it and it is amazing. And with 22€ for seven nigiri and six maki not that expensive(even 18€ at happy hour).
Everything looked delicious except the chicken skewer haha, I'm sorry, and I agree with you, the last dish must be very delicious. I have always seen it in animes and of course I have always wanted to try it. If I were in Japan, I would like to eat mainly seafood.
I would love ❤️ to try the shrimp 🍤 tempura. For a picky eater like myself, do you have any recommendations for soft/not so sweet foods when I finally arrive in Japan 🗾?
Shrimp tempura is a great choice! For softer and less sweet options, I recommend trying chawanmushi (steamed egg custard), tamago kake gohan (rice with raw egg), or onigiri (rice balls).

Thank you so much! Warabi mochi is a bit like Turkish delight, but it’s softer, more jelly-like, and usually covered in kinako (roasted soybean powder).
Nishiki market is nice, but the last time I was there, it was so busy, that it was really unpleasant. I looked almost okay when you visited. Thank you for this great video. Most of the food looked really tasty (but also a bit expensive ?). About Wasabi: how usual is it to have fresh Wasabi instead of that paste like here ? Is fresh Wasabi only a thing in really high end restaurants ? And how different is the taste ? Apparently in the west, a lot of the wasabi is actually a bit of wasabi and more horse radish and green coloring :-(.
Thank you for your comment! Nishiki Market can definitely get very crowded, but I’m glad you found the video enjoyable. As for fresh wasabi, it’s true that it’s often found in higher-end restaurants, but you can sometimes find it in local markets or specialty shops. The taste of fresh wasabi is milder and has a more delicate, natural flavor compared to the paste.
Its green tea. A powder of green tea, and normally, you drink it: a small quantity of matcha in a bowl, which you top up with hot water. You then use a bamboo whisk (chasen) to mix the tea powder and hot water, and to create a "foam" on the tea. And then top up the bowl with more hot water. Most people either love or hate it. I love it. In Japan, you get plenty of food with matcha, like ice cream, kit kats, cakes, pancakes, chocolate etc.
Also there used to be sparrows on a stick which were said to be delicious. Also a large kind of fish with teeth exposed. Served on a large stick. Sort of creepy looking but the older people adored that fish.
That was fun and the food looked so good. Thank you for not having annoying music covering up the sounds of the place. It made me feel like I was really there.
I’m so glad you enjoyed it! I wanted to keep the atmosphere real, so I’m happy it made you feel that way.

Two of my favorite sandwiches are the fruit sandwich and egg salad sandwich. They are awesome in Japan.
I agree, those are some of the best!
Thanks for sharing! I am 100% Italian, and don't get me wrong-Italian food is great. However, the Japanese know how to do food as well or even better!

is the rice on the beef sushi, shari or shiro rice?
Shari!!
Wasabi flavour is not alien to westerners. It tastes like Horseradish (and cheaper stuff often is flavoured horseradish).
Was that Sparrow at the last food stall?
I hope to visit one day. We’ve got nothing like this here in Southern California, and you think we would since we have a lot of Asians.
