Yooo dude, good to see some 90 love in the Hoonigans. Couple tips; instead of cutting the TRC valve off the throttle body, you can just replace it with a JZZ30 non-TRC throttle body (just swap the butterfly valve over to keep your stock sensor). Also please don't cop an R154, they're so overpriced. Get a T56 or TR6060 if you can. Fits in there really well with some tunnel massaging and the shifter is in the perfect location (as long as it's not a remote-shifter box). The Nissan CD box like Vin has is an option, but they need work to get the shifter in the right spot and the box will hang lower than the chassis rails.
@@maiy8786 In all fairness, the R154 does bolt on without any mods, not sure about the T56 (although there probably are adapters out there). The stock Supra Getrag is definitely more expensive than an R154. BTW, in Russia a lot of people use BMW transmissions in conjunction with JZ-motors (from the older models - E36, E34), with the obvious addition of an adapter plate and other shit. Since these boxes are dirt cheap over here, it makes a lot of sense.
for grag racing it is better to use the improved AT A340(from supra, Cresta or GS300) ,it can hold 800 + hp,and switch quickly enough.you can also switch to AWD with it, but for AWD it is better to use AWD car, it will have a tunnel.

JZX90 is the model number, all Toyota's model numbers have the engine code in them, the JZ part is the engine and the X is the chassis, AE86's are called that because they're an E chassis with a 4A engine and the gen 6 Celica was either an AT200 or an ST200 depending on whether it had the 7A engine or the 3S. As far as I know there were no exceptions to this, but I'm not a hundred percent sure on that
They sometimes conflate stuff, like with the Celsior, which has a UZ engine, but a UCF chassis code. Or with the Windom (Camry, Lexus ES), which had an MZ series motor, but for whatever reason was designated MCV20. So it can get complicated sometimes. But you got the general rule quite right.
Its simpler in the UK cause we tend not to get the cooler models, every one I work on seems to follow the rule. not looked on Lexus's though to be honest. Vin numbers work in a similar way, but they have a lot more info, right down to the factory it was made in

Like, JZX90-0238764, or something along those lines. My car is a Honda Inspire, that would have a frame of UA4-0123456 (not my precise number, obviously, just giving an example). And so on and so forth. Not a lot of info there.
To be fair, if you throw LM on any sedan with some low, it instantly looks amazing. I have LM on my s2000 and once you get that tire to tuck it becomes the perfect car
I don't care what anyone says, to me, this car aesthetic is pretty much spot on, certainly much better than the LSD chop jobs they do these days. Clean, svelte, line defined bodies. I miss seeing these (styled) cars on the streets.

@@TheHoonigans I do custom paint jobs for computer cases. I tend to work with pearlescent metallic paint and nothing less. When my little brother drove the car into our garage, showed us our new car, the first thing I said was, "dude, that's not black, it's got a hint of green undercoat to it." It took about 3 days for everyone to notice what I saw. Then I recreated it in my workshop.
