Great video. Just a quick tip in your shut-down (O.F.F. settin ;) ) to help your engine last longer. Idle the engine down for a minute or 2 to cool the engine down and let the blower dissipate the heat and hot spots. More importantly, because that setup has a huge fly wheel, it runs on for a while after power to the spark plug has been cut. Here's what happens when you do this. The govenor senses the RPMs' slowing sown, so it opens the throttle wide open to compensate. What's happening at this stage is the carb is dumping gas into the cylinder, compressing it, then blowing it out the exhaust. During compression, some gas will be forced passed the piston rings (this happens in all engines, even when running in the O.N. position. This unburned fuel finds it's way into the oil, dilutes it, and shortens engine life. Not to mention, you could get an awesome back-fire out the exhaust as the unburned fuel ignites on the hot exhaust. Cheers.
Just a word of warning with chipper. As fast as it pulls it in to chip it’s just as fast to rip your hand open. ALWAYS feed with big end first. I had a branch that had a smaller lateral branch farther up broken off with a jagged point. As it got sucked in I could not get my hand out of the way fast enough. It ripped my hand palm wide open through my leather gloves. 37 stitches later and thinking about what had happened. If the branch would have been the other way it would have been fine. Be careful.
It’s become a joke around here.... I raise the animals, he builds the enclosures and we but her together... So I can’t claim full useless trophy wife status but if click bait ain’t broke 🤷🏼♀️ 🤣🤣🤣
I use my chipper to clean-up mesquite branches and pecan branch trimmings. I keep them in separate piles and when we smoke meat(s) we have ready made smoker wood chips. The garden and trees love the mulch too.
Love that you showed how easy it is to pull that thing with one hand! Good old American ingenuity - get those rubber flaps out the way! Thanks for showing all that could go wrong!
@mi channnal Selectively pick the trees you want and stake them out becuse if you let it go, it gets so full you cant mow any of it. In 10 years you have a ton of underbrush. And thats a real pain in the ass to deal with unless you have goats.
Thanks for sharing. I'm buying the Champion wood chipper. The only thing good on the harbor freight chipper are the tires lol. 5 years later my Champion wood chipper is still going strong. Most amazing thing about this video is that the lady didn't spill a drop lol
This was unique. I'm kind of amazed at how fast it yoinks the wood. Some serious damage could be caused quickly if the operator is not careful. Nothing like the small Electric chipper they sell.
Was considering this chipper to mulch a brush pile left by the previous owner. After watching the amount of work to chip such a small amount of branches, I'm not convinced this chipper is a cost effective investment. During wet weather, I have been cutting up some tree branches and burning it in a barrel.
I won’t comment on the wife any fool can understand she’s gorgeous but I will comment on the Predator engine. It’s extremely inexpensive and made in the same factory in China that Honda engines are made. It’s very popular in the go cart scene because hop up parts that fit the Honda also fit the Predators
Leaves just go in the pile straight away without grinding saves a lot of work. Need some moisture to get a good fermentation going. Throw in some high nitrogen fertilizer get it cooking in no time.
holy cow that thing is way stronger than i thought it'd be haha. i might have to get one after all. I feel bad talking crap about it the other day when my uncle said I should get this one since it's relatively cheap.
I dress myself , shoot and edit the videos ... I’m who I am and make no apologies but my husband has nothing to do with what I choose to wear or how I look ✌🏼
Harbor Freight tools are made for home owners that only use their tools two or three times a year. After about twenty-five or thirty uses something will fail and it will no longer work. If you are going to buy HF then you must buy the extended warranty, they honor their warranty very well. If it hasn't been too long you can add the warranty even after your purchase. Good luck, you will need it with that machine.
The instructions may not say it, but hearing protection is also recommended with the engine and chipper noise. Good job on your first run with the chopper.
i just came back inside and told myself to research this. i am in the same place, tired of burn burn burn, waiting all the time for what's around the pile to be wet enough for me to feel comfortable enough burning it all, rain and wind the two factors, this lil machine looks to be a good choice for me also
I have the same motor on my snowblower and when it didn't start on the first pull I said to myself, 'it's not on'. It's a Honda clone that I lovingly refer to as the 'ol Chonda'
Looks a lot like my 5yr old Snapper. Shredded leaves take up less room in the compost piles. Don't overload the hopper and keep a stick handy to poke because twigs can block the chute. Once you get the hang of it things go quickly. As you can see the pull handle is awkward. A little ingenuity can solve that. Oh yeah, I wear a forestry helmet with hearing protection and face shield, that dude can spit out chips and such at velocity.
Some hearing protection would be good and always feed it with open hands and not gripping the branches. Stand to the side so when it whips the branch it doesn't hit your pretty face.
Gotta line up the crosshairs. I get my wife with stuff like that all the time. Too funny. You guys are great. Thanks for the laugh and hello from North Georgia.
It is unfortunate that we have to be so PC these days, but I going to say it anyways! That young lady is smoking hot! And the only reason any man wouldn't agree is because he is afraid of his own wife!...lol
This seems to be a good tool to chip large sticks and any stray cats.. but my riding lawn mower bags up all my shredded leaves. Plus it has a cup holder :) great video and thanks for sharing! Thumbs up!!
Shredding or mulching leaves is probably much easier with a lawn mower that has such capability & a bag attachment. If the leaves are tree trimmings with some pencil size or larger small branches, then the machine would be a better choice.
I bought one of these and paid for the extended warenty. Just over a year later the muffler fell off from metal fatigue due to the vibration. It was past the year so I called and ordered a muffler. I was told it would take about 3 months. It took closer to 6. It only cost about $17.00 so I thought that was fair. The installation was easy so I was back to chipping in no time. I had been chipping for about 15 minutes and the engine fell off right into the dirt. I took the machine apart to tighten the bolts and discovered that they were actually broken off. I was told that it would cost more to repair it than to buy another one. DEFINATELY NOT FROM HARBOR FREIGHT. I am just a home owner and was not doing major chipping.
Haha too cute being all jumpy and afraid of the possessed chipper. Fear is good though, it's what keeps you alive and hopefully, unharmed. No loose clothing around those suckers or anything that can get snagged on the branches you're feeding it. Bracelets and watches and such are a bad idea. I'm not saying you shouldn't look awesome doing chores but be aware that weird shit can happen and does happen. One of those branches has a snagger on it that hooks that bracelet.... OH NO! Be safe and keep up the good work.

Thank you for posting that and saving someone else from a similar incident
thanks for the warning!
Is that what she said😂
Yea, I was worried about one of those cut offs hooking her glove and pulling her pretty hand in.
THANK YOU! Good advice.
Keep your hair tied back before it gets sucked in the machine especially when leaning in to turn it off
I was about to leave exactly the same comment. Overall, when you work with any rotating power machinery, keep always your hairs tied.
I love that you actually acknowledge her as trophy/ click bait. Best channel.
It’s become a joke around here.... I raise the animals, he builds the enclosures and we but her together... So I can’t claim full useless trophy wife status but if click bait ain’t broke 🤷🏼♀️ 🤣🤣🤣
I'm sold, I've been looking into this one for awhile. Especially with that price point, and Harbor has a pretty good return policy.
I use my chipper to clean-up mesquite branches and pecan branch trimmings. I keep them in separate piles and when we smoke meat(s) we have ready made smoker wood chips. The garden and trees love the mulch too.
Yep that’s awesome ! We do that with our apple wood
Us folks from the Fargo area sure appreciate a good woodchipper video!
🤣🤣👍🏻
HA HA HA HA ! Yes, indeed
Love that you showed how easy it is to pull that thing with one hand! Good old American ingenuity - get those rubber flaps out the way! Thanks for showing all that could go wrong!
Gotta do what you gotta do
I pile the leaves up and mulch them with the lawn mower. Much faster
After watching how much work it was to do leaves, I am going to stick with the lawn mower too =)
Depends on how many leaves why pile them up. Or you can mow and bag them.
Then dump into a big pile.
@mi channnal
Selectively pick the trees you want and stake them out becuse if you let it go, it gets so full you cant mow any of it.
In 10 years you have a ton of underbrush.

Truth 🙌🏼it’s a bit jarring at first

After watching the amount of work to chip such a small amount of branches, I'm not convinced this chipper is a cost effective investment. During wet weather, I have been cutting up some tree branches and burning it in a barrel.
The machine works well but it does take a bit of wood to make a decent pile .
About 15 minutes in I realized there is a wood chipper involved in this
😝
I've watched it three times now. I still haven't seen the woodchipper..
😝
What wood chipper?
What woodchipper?
That thing is heavy, Your ol'lady is a hoss. One handed and held her own beer!
I used to rake leaves then I discovered a mulching blade for the mower. Leaves seem to vanish before your eyes, no raking.
Haha! The on/off switch got me the first time, too! Pulled for 20 minutes.
I won’t comment on the wife any fool can understand she’s gorgeous but I will comment on the Predator engine. It’s extremely inexpensive and made in the same factory in China that Honda engines are made. It’s very popular in the go cart scene because hop up parts that fit the Honda also fit the Predators
I about died when Syd said what I was thinking around 3:40.... "That's what she said." 😂🤣
Sure, the clickbait got me here but the drinkin' kept me here. I think everyone has a "drunk Matt". lol
Good stuff.
😂 thanks for watching
I've had two drunk Matts. One drank himself to death in 2000, the other shot himself in the head in 2015.
The middle school antics gets old after about 2 seconds into the video
Can’t please everyone 🤷🏼♀️

The click bait worked lol

I just saw harbor freight and clicked
@@3MISSISSIPPI Syd hes just mad cause his mama wont pick clothes like that for him to wear. Lmao
Love the machine and the trophy wife is a wonderful bonus. Lol
Lol the turkeys were laughing at you. Awesome video thanks for sharing with us. The wood chipper I have is about that size and I love it.
+Backwoods Raised they always do 🤣🤣🤣 yep so far so good 😊 SC
TheCrouchRanch hope y'all have a super awesome Thanksgiving!!

"HOLD MY BEER", " Never mind, I got it".

She didn't spill a drop.
@@oneDonly ..must be related to Julian on TPB!!! LOL
Thanks for the video! I'm getting tired of burning branches all of the time. I think this machine will do. Hello from Loganville, GA!
i just came back inside and told myself to research this. i am in the same place, tired of burn burn burn, waiting all the time for what's around the pile to be wet enough for me to feel comfortable enough burning it all, rain and wind the two factors, this lil machine looks to be a good choice for me also
Once you get 30 miles outside any big city we're all the same. Makes no difference if it's NY,GA or Cali we're all just country folk.
Truth 🙌🏼
I have the same motor on my snowblower and when it didn't start on the first pull I said to myself, 'it's not on'. It's a Honda clone that I lovingly refer to as the 'ol Chonda'

click bait sooo good I just subscibed! nothing like a good looking lady!
lol thanks
same lol, thanks for the videos and hello and happy new year from south tn
at least you know if she comes at you with an axe, she'll be holding the wrong end and you WILL not get cut!!! lol
You don’t have to like me ... I didn’t get my tattoos for you 😉 ... I’m fairly sure you aren’t my cup of tea either ✌🏼
Dra O ... was that sarcasm or are you really that much of an uncultured, closed minded, judgemental prude? no one likes a prude.....
Hate this chipper but love your farm and family. Thanks for the video.
Ha ha thanks
lolz props she didnt put the beer down once while moving the chipper
Mad skillzzzz son 😉
Awesome wood chipper.
+DIY Solar and Wind works pretty well -SC
if you really need branches get ahold of a landscape company and they will be happy to give you all the branches you need
Didn't learn much, but was quite entertained.
Okay, maybe I learned my fear of commitment might be ill-considered.
😂
Syd does everything with a drink in her hand. Mike puts literally everything in his back pocket. Lol!
🤣🤣🤣

I love yoga pants, especially on her
i couldnt watch this without grabbing a beer
You're wife is a fox! I was really here for the chipper reviews though lol.
😝 thanks
America's Family! Great video.

Some hearing protection would be good and always feed it with open hands and not gripping the branches. Stand to the side so when it whips the branch it doesn't hit your pretty face.
Feeding those branches, she has great form.
am I the only one she's making HOT - I need my oil filter changed now LOLO
I think I would go check my wife and friend
The R.U.N.N. & O.F.T. switch.
🤣 something like that
Justa Drinkin and a chippin...what could go wrong?!!!
+Outside it was my first of the day and I had just opened so it was all good :.:. I did however drink a six pack later and run with scissors ✂️ 🤣🤣🤣SC
LOL too funny. Love your stuff.
+Outside thanks 😉SC
Outside there’s gotta be a country western song in this somewhere. Lol.
City dweller here, but it helps to put sticks in with leaves because leaves are to light-weight to go by themselves.
Yes but these were raked up leaves with only small twigs mixed in ... just the way it was 👍🏻
Where is the ear protection, you will loose the hearing if do not start to use protection, says one that is suffering hearing loss .
Whaaaatttt!
I heard everything she said.
I had a neighbor named Hugh Crouch many many many years ago. interesting coincidence.
It’s actually a very common last name in the south ...
It was in Illinois, quite possibly a relative then. Keep up the good work.
Waste of time running leaves through. They break down quickly with no help
But if your trying to get compost for the next season, this helps.
I could watch her run leave through all day. She has great branches.
Game changer...
Gotta line up the crosshairs. I get my wife with stuff like that all the time. Too funny. You guys are great. Thanks for the laugh and hello from North Georgia.
+zim zim 🤣 hey thanks for watching -SC
Informative and hilarious!! Loved this!!!
Thank you 🙏
Follow-up six months later...
How has it held up???
lol 😝 really well we have been chipping up a big pine tree with it 👍🏻
How much is that chipper?
I think it was about 2-3 bills ... I think there is more info in the description . This was a couple years ago now
@@3MISSISSIPPI thanks.. Im going to look into this i need a chipper.
This was a fun and informative video, thank you.
"wow this has crosshairs?" guy takes swig of beer... "i married her" lmao, if that ain't a SMH moment

Hahaha this is awesome
To heck with possibly flipping over this new chipper, cause i gotta protect this drink.
Not a chipper was harmed …. Moms can multitask 😉
you do to much work to be a true trophy wife..as for clickbait well thats just smart advertising :)
+Eric Dixon right ? Where are my peeled grapes ??? 🤣🤣🤣SC
That’s a scary little chipper; keep hair bundled tightly to your head and take off rings, bracelets and such!
Thats good click bait right there.
Seems to chip them up pretty well, but holy crap it's slow work.
It is a bit ... definitely for smaller jobs not for disappearing a whole tree 😉
Amen

Took you all day to shred a half bag of leaves? I guess you'll be returning the useless machine?
No ... it works pretty well just a learning curve ... once you get a groove going it goes pretty fast 👍🏻
Sure hope y'all have an awesome THANKSGIVING. We had ours today with the kids and grandbabies👍👍

im here for the clickbait. And the shredder. Im NOT here to see a humanget shredded though whichis what happens when you put your own body parts in.
Ah yes ... no humans shall be shredded .

It wasn’t too loud but yes if doing a lot probably a good idea as well
Just one of em???

lol nice click bait
Shredding or mulching leaves is probably much easier with a lawn mower that has such capability & a bag attachment. If the leaves are tree trimmings with some pencil size or larger small branches, then the machine would be a better choice.
Yes , exactly. Works great for tree branches and bush cuttings
