This was the first song by Citizen Soldier that I ever heard. As someone who has had to deal with depression for years now I can testify that these are nearly word-for-word the questions I fight with every day. That ending part, however, is subtle and beautiful enough to give one reason to hesitate when sitting in the dark of their mind, ready to just be entirely done with an existence that doesn't even feel like it can be justifiably called 'a life' so much as a long and painful march towards an end that would feel genuinely merciful by comparison. These people truly know how to navigate those terrible halls of self-torture to try and find those who are lost in the agony and try and help bring them back to light, life, and the continual desire to actually see another sunrise.

I feel more strengthened and uplifted than before when I hear this incredible and legendary song. When I hear the Nightcore version though, it hits me way more harder in the emotional way, and makes me tear up and want to cry without effort. The original song touches my heart, and I cherish it so much, but the Nightcore version hits my heart harder and makes me drown in its immense relatability fully, and embrace it with emotions
This is the song that made me discover CS, I cried my heart out because it was just the perfect song that I needed to hear at the time. This is my soul band and feel like their music was written about my life. I've never felt that way about music before
