You can wish for periods all you want, but as a bio female with endometriosis that has resulted in being cut open twice to remove massive cysts on my ovaries and the doc finding endometrial lesions in my pelvic cavity and pain attacks growing in frequency and severity over the past several years, I genuinely don’t want to hear it. I respect what you’re doing with you’re life to be who you feel you are, but seriously. Having a uterus for many women is absolute misery and with the pain and the impact endometriosis is having on living a full life at 25 years old, I have every right to tell you that YES, you are lucky that you can be a woman without the massive amount of physical ailments that I’m pretty sure 1 in 3 women have. I hate hate hate hearing this. Unless you can fathom having biology that may very well turn against you for the entirety you your childbearing years and be okay with the pain and scars and it may leave you while also robbing you of feeling like a functional woman, It’s so messed up to say that “cis-women” have no right to tell a trans woman how lucky they are that they don’t possess organs that wreck havoc on many women’s existences.enjoy what you have. Being a woman is more than just fetal incubation and wearing pretty things.
I agree with you for the most part; ovulation isn’t fun or something to be glorified. When trans people say they wish they could experience periods, they’re not saying it’s a fun and positive experience that they wish they could appropriate. They’re saying the idea that their body isn’t capable of pregnancy makes them dysphoric. I for one, am glad that I don’t have to experience that and the risks that come along with it, but I also understand why not experiencing it can be a trigger for some people’s dysphoria.

I had “ female” problems since my first period at 11 yrs old! 9:13 . Severe, excruciating pain for 5-7 days each month. Severe endometriosis that required surgery 11 x !! At the time the technology was not yet there. I’ve had 11 D&C procedures. Each time was pure hell! Finally had to get a hysterectomy ( total- incision from hip to hip) which took close to a yr to subside. When I was put on HRT, it was a dream come true. No more hemorrhaging every month. No more pain+ the ever present PMS symptoms. I had 6 pregnancies-/ only 3 went to full term. Sometimes you need to look at the context that a statement is in to understand why it’s being said. I think that in today’s “ politically correct, or incorrect has people almost afraid to say anything cause words get pulled apart beyond what makes sense. Just imho , we need to mellow out+ give people the benefit of the doubt. 😁💜

No one wants periods, and if you were able to experience one, I assure you, you'd change your tune. For some women, periods are excruciating.

From a cis girl point of view: yes period can feel like a burden and the relationship can be complicated around it a lot because of how society has been treated women just because of their period BUT it’s super rude to rub it into someone’s face like that especially women that suffers from the lost of it. It’s not like I speak about how lucky someone is to not have a mom just because my mom is a full time work😅

CIS Female. I can ASSURE you that when we say "you are so lucky that you don't get a period" we are absolutely not insinuating the inability to conceive or carry a baby. I have PCOS and was told I'd never be able to conceive and it was devastating, I couldn't imagine not having kids, not ONCE did I ever get angry because my friends all had regular periods or tell them that they should consider themselves lucky ect. The few times I did get mine was a few to many. They have nothing to do with whether or not we want to have a baby. If anything the lack of one makes you want a child more. It's hard to explain but that correlation is just not there.
We understand the insinuation is not that but from a trans women's perspective it kinda just rubs salt in the wound because it's just a reminder of one of our biggest insecurities

I'd imagine a lot of these "Myths" vary person to person. Especially when it comes to things like regret, sensations down there, and desire to have those kinds of activities. I'm not trans, but when I had a c-section with my daughter, the nerves in the area where they cut for the c-section never got their feeling back and there is a spot on my stomach that is still numb to this day. She's almost 12 years old now, so it was not recent. I know a c-section is not the same as SRS, but surgery is surgery and depending on your body, the surgeon, and other factors, there is a chance that some people might lose sensations in that area permanently. Probably not everyone, but there is a chance. I'd imagine researching your surgeon before going under the knife would probably help decrease those chances a lot though.
Exactly. I had a tummy tuck and all the area around the scar is still numb 2 years later. Also had a breast reduction and regained full sensation in that area, and my scars disappeared completely. Very different results from each surgery, and I did the same scar management protocol. I’m super happy with my tummy tuck the aesthetic result is beautiful but the numbness is frustrating.
Surgery is surgery!! Wrong!!! Surgery done on a male is not the same as surgery in a female, just like if you going to pull your teeth,one question a dentist ask a woman they're not going to ask a man.Are you pregnant?

Glad it worked for you. I had a friend who had V surgery and during Intercourse her V broke thru to her Rectum and she had to have a Colostomy to give it time to heal. She lost a Kidney in the process . She had problems the rest of her life and she was born a female formed perfectly on the outside just no V or other female organs

SRS healing takes circa 12 months; most of the healing occurs within the first 6 months. It is highly invasive surgery and there is a significant risk that things go wrong, requiring revision surgery. Such SRS was first performed in the 1950's in Denmark as pioneering surgery.
considering "cis gender" woman are supposed to be so jealous of not having periods, is no cis gendered woman I know. They understand this is the gate waY TO HAVing children. I have no words.

I understand why people have SRS and I say kudos to them for choosing to have such major surgery. I wish it was affordable in other places. I also worry that people will have the surgery they can afford instead of going to a really really good surgeon.
This will be my ignorance im sure. But why are trans still referred to as trans when they have already transitioned. Like in Mathildas case. She has already transitioned so isn't she just a woman. And if it was F to M they would just be a man. I'm just curious, probably a really stupid question. Surly after that its no ones business.

Just to throw this out there I'm super comfortable with my body but so many cis women MYSELF included have issues with self lubrication. I definitely don't get as wet as other women and my partner and I ALWAYS use lube. So that shouldn't even be a factor, lube is nothing to be ashamed of. :)

They can actually grow a vaginal canal using stem cells. They successfully implanted at least for in women who were born with underdeveloped canals. I think it’s pretty far off from some of the other more complex structures and organs though 🤷🏽♂️

Those women had underdeveloped vaginal canals, not NO vagina to start with. The vagina is actually quite complex, you can't just grow one and then implant it.

I was born a man , it's amazing if you are happy as a man. For me I can't relate to men at all. But when I hang out with my female friends everything is so different I feel like one of them. We feel the same way, we like the same things , we laugh and cried together.
It´s the same for girls who understand/feel better and more themselves around boys. So if it´s just it, enjoy the closeness and happiness with them; you are not alone. Nothing wrong with a man who is more on the feminine side; quite the opposite ^^
P S: After menopause, women atrophe and can seal shut. We also need pessaries put up us to keep our bladders from falling out. Uterine pain is out of this world. I'm SO glad I had a son and he will never feel that.

I somewhat wish science was faster (while not becoming unethical), as animal testing has (in 3 different projects) used stem cells to make valid sperm, stem cells to make valid eggs, and artificial wombs that can get mouse babies from day 0 fertilization to half or more of the term.
Getting those three approved for humans will be huge for not just LGBT & disabled people, but also others that cannot currently have biological children.
You mite be able to answer a question for me. Is it possible to grow specific body parts from a persons stem cells ? Or even promote the growth of said body parts on the person.
@@DAVING0 Way above my amateur knowledge, but I know that we are in the process of being able to 3D print organs. I do not know if it uses stem cells or just regular DNA, but it is basically fast-growing your own organ which removes the possibility of it being rejected.
As of 5-6 years ago, there was an issue in making sure they don't collapse/die without flowing blood through them, but I am pretty sure they are past that stage by now.
A nifty side effect of this research is 3D printed meat products. You only need 1 cow to replace a farm full of cows, and there is no need for the muscle to be live-implanted, as it is just used for food~

I think it's awesome that you did this video. I'm a cis guy, but this has always something I've wondered about (I think I have a far too scholastic interest in sex haha), and a woman talking about it from their perspective is both brave and enlightening. And selfless because this was clearly awkward for you to cover. You're not a cis guy. You're a man. Do not adopt their ridiculous verbage as your own
It’s not in a pretty good state. Hormone therapy is basically given out like candy and we don’t have a lot of research on how it affects people but we do know HRT brings early onset dementia to males and hormone therapy in general results in cancer, emergency hysterectomies, osteoporosis, etc. Big Pharma and politics are using the trans movement to their advantage by administering unsafe drugs and allowing malpractice to make lifelong patients with lifelong complications. Bottom surgery is an experimental cosmetic procedure done by surgeons who are in it for the profit. There is no such thing as surgically creating a vagina so instead they are creating open wounds prone to infections and lifelong dialation. Phalloplasty is also a major risk. So many trans people die young or end up with tumours. I am absolutely all for freedom of gender and identity expression, within the limits of social and fashion expression and not medical transition. I just feel the need to tell people medically transitioning is extremely dangerous and not well researched. It is destroying lives and the fertility of future generations.

I think it's worth noting that with HRT many trans women do experience most of the common period symptoms, including cramping, diarrhoea, emotional changes, among many others. Essentially, all of them except bleeding.
How can they feel cramping if they do not have a uterus?

They don’t have period cramps because they don’t have a uterus. Also diarrhea is not a normal symptom you’re just eating shit. Emotional changes are caused by synthetic hormones if you’re messing with your hormones it is what it is.

I had a friend (who was very supportive) who said I was lucky I wouldn't get a period when I first began to transition. I explained it to her it's the equivalent of a cis woman going through life knowing she could never have a child. After that she understood.

I would never say someone was "lucky" for not having a period. For CIS women, having a regular period is an important indicator of health. When we don't get our period and are not pregnant, it means something is wrong...
And it's kind of rubbing infertility in your face. Id think it would be such a rude thing to say to someone Trans or cis.

OMG, the state of ignorance in comments on this entire thread are both comical and embarrassing...lol The FACTS are, that certain techniques such as the Davidov method does indeed provide a nearly identical vagina(self lubricating) to that of any cis woman. It was originated in Russia, and is in use world wide to repair/complete intersex and trans-women who do not have a working vaginal tunnel. It is made from the paretineal tissue of the abdominal lining. Those tissues exhibit nearly identical abilities as a vagina tunnel, and after some time healing look identical to a cis woman's vagina.
It's not possible they have no cervix.
As I heard from other trans women, there is also skin from the internal abdomen inserted. That skin provides humidity also on their original places and so will provide some lubrication also in the vagina (however I doubt that it will so depending on arousal). It was also mentioned that some trans women experience bleaching of their underwear from their discharge so it works!
Medical professional here, it is impossible for this fake hole to self lubricate. These people lie for some reason. It’s really quite sad.

While it is true that there are unfortunate transition stories and it's important to be aware that there are risks in SRS like in any other surgery, this channel tells a success story AND provides very useful information to those interested. I believe that this comment section is a place to share personal experiences, offer support and/or ask questions. Asking for one's age is inappropriate and leads me to believe that you're one of those people who think "children should not go through SRS because they're too young". If my impressions are wrong in any way, please accept my sincere apologies.

I do not get what’s wrong with “children should not go through SRS because they’re too young” - because it’s true. They are not allowed to drive, drink, got a tattoo - and they should be allowed to go through such drastic changes? When their brain is still developing? The original comment is curious in a healthy and polite way - showing some degree of care and making sure the shatteredmormon5005 got all the essential info - which is the good and the bad. People tend to believe in fairytales/positive and successful stories and fall for them quickly because they want things to happen - the risks and downsides could prevent this wish, so they close their eyes rather than face it/search for it. They should stand more on the middle ground for the best.

I've had the good fortune to have sex (as a guy) with trans girls and cis girls. My wife is a trans woman. It doesn't feel the same. Doesn't mean it's fake or it's a deal killer. The internal vagina is just a complex organ that can't be fully recreated with this surgical technique.

I mean... as a woman I actually appreciate my periods but it can be annoying at times (like bleeding through clothes) so that might be why women complain about it every once in a while.
Bleeding through clothes and a whole list of other unpleasant symptoms is why natal females complain about our periods. It’s part of the genuine experience of biological women. We carry the cradle of life….literally

The biggest part of the survey you left out is this.Of the monitored MtF TSs only 40% completed the survey. The rest fallen off the radar.The second biggest part of the survey you didn't include is that is ALL based on self report, not any verifiable data. How much does the surgery cost and how long does it take. Just curious. I’ve herd that allot of people go to Thailand to get it done cheaper for around £5000.
Duration: about 4 to 5 hours, depending on technique, surgeon, etc. I was narcotized for exactly 4:30 (according to my surgery record).
Cost: well, german statutory health insurance does cover it (you've got to run a gauntlet of bureaucracy for it, though), so I've never seen any bill. Reports from people with private insurance range about 30k EUR +/- 5k (in Germany). Thailand is cheaper, yes, but I doubt that it's that cheaper. Last time I heard from him Dr. Suporn (the god of GRS there) charged about 25k EUR. It's possible that some 'backyard clinic' does do it for 5000, but I wouldn't go there. You've only one shot with this, so you better pick your surgeon and clinic carefully.
Uk surgery took about 2.5 hours, with 7 days in hospital, 2 weeks at home not allowed out. This was covered under the NHS so didn't directly cost me anything. Last time I looked Thailand surgery cost £18000. While there may be some who are a lot cheaper, I'm not sure I would trust them!

well Meka Doz, this would only works out with a "functional" relationship or u have to get a woman who is willing to carry it out. I'm happy for you. It's great that reproductive health and sexual functions surgery are becoming more progressive for all women. Even surgery as a result of rape or malpractices in child birth relate to transgender women because all women feel gender dysphoria. My misconception about the surgery was that it would make dating easier, being a heterosexual trans woman. Well, it made sex easier for me but surprisingly the amount of men who can be with a trans woman but only if she has had vaginoplasty isn’t really a bigger subset than the ones who can be with any kind of a trans woman. It’s challenging to find love (sex is easy to find though) but eventually you will. I’ve found other trans women youtubers end up with the same conclusion.
I had sex before and after the op and I coudl say it was a lot better after. A lot more sensitivity and a set that is easier to deal with and you’ll be more at home with your body. And yes, I’ve been with some men I forgot to tell about my past in advance and some of them couldn’t tell.

Before transitioning I was mostly with women, afterwards only with men. Intercourse nowadays feels a little like I thought it would but not entirely.

When it comes to menstruation I don't think anyone should be calling each other "lucky". Some women don't have a period due to cancer or never had one and some women have horrible, painful, heavy periods that are debilitating and upsetting. Who's willing to tell either woman they're lucky? No one knows how they feel about it, so calling each other lucky for having or not having a period is a little short-sighted and insensitive.
Yes you are lucky! The pain is excruciating. Curled up in bed, whether you stand or lay down. Back pain, pelvic pain, it’s messy.

i think the biggest reason i sometimes still feel gender dysphoria after years of srs is the absurd ammount of transphobia on the internet, that makes me remember traumatic stuff that i experienced prior to my srs. also there is the social stigma of being 'trans', you can never get rid of that label, so whenever you have to be honest about your past, people will doubt you, people will question you, and they might not feel as comfortable with you as you wish they would. and the worst thing, for me personally, as a lesbian, is terf discourse and misinformation propagating in lesbian spaces, which makes it harder for me to feel at home with other queer cis women. also, if anyone uses the word 'male' to refer to myself, it is very disgusting.

Some transgender women feel a lot of things with their new vagina, some a little, some almost nothing, some nothing. It depends on the surgeon' skills, your luck etc.
It turns out great for some, modereately for others and terribly for some.

"you're lucky you cant get periods!" yeah periods themselves sound horrible and painful, but for us trans women its more like switching the physical pain for psycological pain, cause it sucks to not have a period, even if you know you wouldn't enjoy the sensation of one.

You had me until a woman tells a trans-woman your luck not to have a period. I'm not a woman, but I know several who have had hysterectomy. After recovery, they all say the same thing. Thank god no more period. I can understand why a trans-woman would want one, but after a year you would be just like most and wish it wasn't there. Also, a woman is not a cis woman. She is simply a woman. This does not take away from your femininity as a trans-woman.
I agree that not having a period is great, trans girls also get the cycle just without the physical manifestation of menstruation, personally id totally accept having to go through periods if it means ill be fertile and also wont ever need Sex reasignment surgery and its all in its place as it shouldve always been. Theres women who never had a period or literally lack a womb, vagina or whatever and they really REALLY feel out of place or lacking womanhood in a sense
