Dropping Hide for Rupture and Weakpoint has been my go to. BUT, I make sure to take Creep which is the secret best perk on Rogue. It still gives you the sneaky option without the huge perk investment to make it good (unlike Hide). I've also recently dropped Thrust for Traps and Locks just to always have the option to open a Locked Chest, plus Weakpoint makes up for the Armor Pen I lose not taking Thrust (in most cases). You have to reconsider Creep because its really good for positioning and avoiding fights that you know you can't win. My other two perks are Poisoned Weapon and Dagger Mastery, those are autoincludes for me.
That build is a different playstyle with different win conditions thatn the one in this video. Weakpoint wouldn't work with this because you aren't ambushing people for burst damage. You get more value with rupture/cut throat. IMO weakpoint is only good if you actually have a good kit. Not just purples, but gear with multiple on rolls. Creep is good but again the value is not there with this build because you aren't trying to sneak up on people to do burst dmg. Your just playing a different style of rogue with traps/locks, weakpoint creep etc
Also, you said use creep to avoid fights you know you can't win. With this build and playstyke you can beat literally every class in the game. PDR fighter, barb, druid warlock, whatever it is you have an answer for everything

What do you consider to be "squire gear?" Obviously, the loadout is less than 25 gear score but none of the clothing items are available from the squire or other merchants (except for the lightfoot boots from the leathersmith). As a relatively new player, how do you "level up" your squire?"
All the items I am wearing is from the squire. You level up your squire which will unlock more gear for you by completing lesthersmith and tailor quests.
@@limboski696 So if you dont have your squire lvl'd up. Run an adventurer tunic for +3 health and then adventurer boots for + dex. Do not run pants nor a shadow hood. Only wear a shadow mask. Doing that on squishy classes like other rogues, rangers, wizards is sometikesok if you are ungeared but even then its a risk because you do such little damage lol.
The most important stat is move speed. Secondly would be strength, you need 15 strength to have a neutral power bonus, basekit rouge has a negative power bonus which means your weapons are not doing as much damage as they should be. Thirdly would be health. Rupture scales off of physical damage. So if you want your rupture to do more damage then addtional physical dmg will make rupture scale the most. Secondly to that would be physical dmg bonus. It does not scale with true physical damage as true is phys dmg is a 1:1 with no scaling. In short, move speed, strength, health, additional/bonus phys dmg.
Whats the advantage to playing this hit and run style rogue over a Warlock doing the same with their DoT? Also what is cut throat actually good at silencing? I've been annoyed that it doesnt stop druids moonwalker or break their animal forms, or NPC spell casters. It feels like it just doesnt silence anything.
Cut throat may not remove animal form but it stops them from initially casting any spell or being able to use their animal form. It stops all casters from casting all spells. It stops all of fighters Skills, same with barb, rogue, ranger. If a ranger pops triple shot and forceful shot and you cutthroat them it makes them shoot 1 arrow instead of 2, 3 or 4 respectively based on whatever bow they have. I like warlock a lot but the advantage that your looking for is that say if your fighting a warlock,I hit a rupture and a cutthroat cross bow im going to W key you while you can't pantomize or cast for 3 seconds and then be so close to you If I don't kill you while your cutthroat ill be to close for you to cast any spells without letting me kill you. The close range dmg burst is insane on rogue wether you build it not.
I would try to change your perspective on if there is an advantage to playing rogue like this vs a warlock. Each class has an advantage in certain playstyle but may be weak in an area where the class your comparing it to is not.
@@Skorm. I think my biggest problem as a rogue is missing attacks because the dagger's short range, so when I hit, I end up getting hit as well. and knowing the right time to retreat sometimes I find myself fighting 3 enemies at once.
@@guedes489 yeah I can deff make something like that. What weapons are easier to clear with, going slow, how to pull 1 mob at a time etc.. Make sure you sub to get notified :)
Just got randomly oneshot by a wizard (literal oneshot) after I ambushed him in HR perfectly. Was it gear that made that much difference? This was actually one of the few times in my life I was actually malding over a video game

@@shbmd451 If you can bring in a green dagger then deff do that. If not bring in a green necklace of peace. Its a +5 max health which is huge.
