    The only that confuses me is all the info we read every day about the inflammation caused by dairy, gluten etc and that we should avoid some food groups to get rid of muscle pain, joint pain etc... The same when we have HA but also pcos, I keep reading about cutting of sugar, dairy, gluten.... 🥺🥺

    Exactly, I have this problem with fitness culture. As you want to learn how to, for example, do some exercise right, how to perform it in a best way, even the best source of knowledge (aka coach, teacher...) will always add this FREE ADVICE on top of it, saying "but however, no exercise will help you, if you aren't in a caloric deficit!". Why can't they just keep these things separated?

    • @flowwithchlo
      @flowwithchlo  3 года назад +2

      cause for them its so connected. We must be diligent with who we follow online, unfortunately

    I'm still confused, I get mentally excited about going "All In", all the foods I could eat. Tried it and ended up eating boxes of cereal, bags of chips, boxes of cookies etc all in one sitting! My stomach was pushing food up, but my mind kept saying "MORE MORE MORE" ... I was eating fast because it was so good and I couldn't get enough, but I was physically ill. What the heck is that? I also crave foods that I'm allergic too.
    I feel I have to keep myself under a very tight rein or I may really harm myself...

      If you hold a ball under water and press it further and further down it might seem like everything is okay but then you let the ball go and POP it comes springing up.
      If you restrict then the feasting will be big, it's a natural response..

    2000 calories is too low? Than I guess me trying to recover by eating 1300 calories isn‘t going to lead anywhere…

    • @flowwithchlo
      @flowwithchlo  Год назад

      Yes I would def say so. 1300 cals is not going to provide your body with enough energy or nutrients to heal!! Food is your medicine!

    You know..I was really dumb and really stupid and when my Extreme hunger started I tried to know all about it, so I searched and looked for videos and when I heard about the body trying to compensate the calories he missed I got so triggered that I even went count the calorie déficit I had created. Man that was so stupid, because when I start to get close to that number I fucking panick 'cause I was still a lot hungry and than I couldnt stop counting
    (That still happends though)

    In my experience, getting my period back was never about weight, it was about frequency of eating, lowering exercise intensity, and having all 3 macros at each meal or snack. No keto or fasting!

    • @flowwithchlo
      @flowwithchlo  3 года назад

      Yes and when one does that (eating frequently, reducing exercise) their body will find the weight that it needs to be at. For some they don't change weight (all depending on where their weight currently is) but for others it will as they were at too low of a body weight to be healthy.

    Such a great video, thank you.
    I am post menopausal and didn’t have a period for a couple of years before that, therefore I’m not going to get my period so since the restoration of periods is an indication of reaching a weight that is getting near or at the right weight, how am I going to know if I’m at the ‘right’ weight.
    Thanks x

    • @flowwithchlo
      @flowwithchlo  3 года назад +1

      There are lots of other indicators of health to look our for like digestion, sleep, immunity, cognitive function, mood, etc. Also, the weight that will be healthy for you should be the weight you fall at naturally when you are eating unrestrictedly and not over exercising.

    I’m 15 almost 16 and have never had a period. My doctors may put me on birth control to balance my hormones but I know that that can’t be a permanent solution. What do you recommend for gaining weight when you lack an appetite?

    • @flowwithchlo
      @flowwithchlo  3 года назад

      Hi! So you have to keep in mind that the reason why you have no appetite is because you are in energy debt. As you get out of energy debt by eating more your appetite will resume. So its kinda just an uncomfy period you have to go through where you commit to staying consistent with your food choices each day

    I just got my period back but I’m wondering why I never got my hunger cues back? I’m 14 so I’m still growing and currently trying to gain weight to catch up on growth.

    • @flowwithchlo

      While getting your period back is a great sign that you are getting better its always good to remember that the body has a lot of healing to do and getting the period back is not the end all be all. Continue to support your body with rest and good food until you feel your whole metabolism, and health is in a good spot!

    • @supremewaffle1970
      @supremewaffle1970 3 года назад +1

      @Gisselle Guzman sorry for the really late response. To start off really commit to yourself because being consistent is not easy. Make sure to eat how least 3 meals and 3 snacks a day and listen to your mental hunger. Eat a lot of healthy fats and high calories foods as well. Getting good sleep is also essential for getting your period back because that the time when your body heals itself. As for exercise, I’d say to go cold turkey or stop it completely if you would like to get your period back faster. Overall just being consistent in everything is the key. As for how long it took for me to get my period back, it was rather fast, only 1 month. I really wish the best for you sister😊. Good luck and keep me updated!

      There are so many other reasons besides period as you mentioned that are worth recovering for. What makes you think you can't get your period?? Were you diagnosed with primary amenorrhea or did you develope secodnary amenorrhea at the age of puberty?

      Intuitive eating is amazing but you have to have a strong metabolism with clear hunger and fullness levels FIRST.

    I am currently under physio for an injury... how do you suggest managing recovery and doing physio strengthen via body mobility exerciseson days I do my physio movement I don't do much else.. is that a good way to balance it in your opinion?

    • @flowwithchlo
      @flowwithchlo  3 года назад

      I would follow the advice of you physio but also just don't over do anything. Theres a way to strengthen your body wihtout out "working out" in the classical sense like for an hour at a gym. But doing some exercised to strengthen say your knees or something shouldn't block recovery. Eat well, focus on that. *All my opinion and not medical advice

    • @flowwithchlo
      @flowwithchlo  3 года назад +2

      Yes, it's important for balancing out blood sugar. I eat a solid breakfast (within 10 minutes of waking), filling lunch, snack, dinner, and dessert EVERYDAY. This is what makes me feel the most grounded and healthy :)
