Fun fact: while KinitoPet is based on the overall concept of virtual pets and assistants, the direct inspiration comes from BonziBuddy, a purple monkey assistant that later turned out to be a virus that stole information from your system. The inspiration is most obvious with the design of the KinitoPet download page, which is a direct copy of that of Bonzi, along with using the same TTS voice model. Bonzi became a bit of a meme after being featured in Windows destruction videos by Vargskelethor, AKA Joel from Vinesauce.
I'm genuinely surprised it took until now for anyone to run with this concept for a horror game, because jumpscares aside this game does an amazing job showcasing the potential.

Fun lil fact - if you type your favourite game properly (so if you'd have typed Five Nights at Freddy's fully instead of just FNAF) the monitor at 1:08:22 would have displayed the game you gave (the icon of the game on Steam, so it would have showed a pic of Freddy). The description when you examine it would say "A monitor playing Five Nights at Freddy's" The bookcase also would have had various games from your Steam library on there too.

Proton, Wine, and if that doesn't work you use a Virtual Machine that runs Windows my friend. Between those three things you can run just about any program you want on Linux now days.

@SyFyGamer13 no big deal. Most people don't realize it. If you have an android phone you already use Linux. I highly suggest at least trying Linux. There are many different distributions of Linux. Think of the distros as flavors of ice cream. Some people like vanilla and some people like sweaty gym sock. I use Mint. It's so easy to use my 65 year old father in law can use it and he has Parkinson's disease but powerful enough that it does everything I want flawlessly. It just works all the time. No annoying updates, no spyware, no candy crush automatically installed by Microsoft. It's MY computer.
If you're really curious you can install Linux on a flash drive, plug it in, and give it a test drive. Don't like it? Unplug the flash drive. 99.9% of all distros are free. Mess around and find one you like. Then feel free to make it truly "your machine."
I would recommend Linux Mint or Ubuntu. I would stay far away from an arch based distro like Manjaro, PoP OS, or Arch, especially if you're just dipping your toe into the Linux pond.
Give it a shot and free yourself from the rules of Kinito and Microsoft. Come to the DARK SIDE

in minesweeper, the numbers indicate the amount of mines in the 8 surrounding tiles, and you can flag mines as well with right click which prevents you from clicking them. Both of these combined are what allows minesweeper to be possible
I find it kind of terrifying that all we needed was someone to make a game to get your information from you and anyone else who plays it. Because to "progress" in the game, you have to spill the beans on your safety question answers for your accounts.

Although the thought that all it would take to get people to download malware is to disguise it as a meta physcological horror game is a very interesting idea.

I love the ending of the game with a little song sang to us! It reminds me so much of the Portal games where GLaDOS would sing to us as the very end, or even Monika in DDLC. Its so neat and wished more games bring these types of endings to us.

What an absolutely FANTASTIC game. This concept is so cool to me, and the way it was executed here was phenomenal. It's crazy how REAL it felt, y'know? And the way it interacted with your ACTUAL PC was so cool. It reminded me of Doki Doki Literature Club (one of my favorite horror games ever). I think this game actually did it a bit BETTER too. And clearly, there's a lot more beneath the surface that we haven't seen yet.
Anyways, man, what a gem of a game. I'm glad I watched your playthrough too. You made it so engaging and fun imo.

I like the detail that kinito has this distorted voice because its supposed to be AI generated while jade and sam have better voices because they are scripted
He sounds really similiar to Bonzibuddy, like an octave off, no ai needed for that memory nightmare fuel
A game which can both pull off the, “sentient AI” trope which can alter your desktop while not being either very outdated or poorly made isn’t a good game.

Dude the fact that the game is so smart in technology is wild, the fact it was able to pull up certain things most games can't is wild, like your address. We need more of these kind of gameplays, when you beat a game and it isn't like 10 hours long or like 20 minutes long, videos like this make a quick and easy way to learn about a game easier and learn the backstory or lore of the game.

No, but why did my TV start to freak tf out while horror shit started happening. It started glitching your video and replaying certain parts, like something was manually moving the timeline. 😭😂
Materials:
Clay- Any type
Pipe cleaners- black
Paint- pink, purplish pink (both slightly pastel)
Instructions:
- have a lump of clay the size you want
- turn the clay into an oval (have a flat spot on the bottom of it if you want it to sit)
- make thin and kinda short snakes (6)
- Stick the pipe cleaners into where it should be (it's for the legs, make them like kind of an 'L' shape)
- Attach the 6 short-like snakes you made on both sides of the head (make sure it's an even amount of snakes)
- make the eyes, I forgot. (They're like pancakes, make sure to add pupils too!)
- attach the eyes
- now let it dry
- paint the body and the little snakes if the clay you used isn't colored.
•+Result+.
It should look like Kinito.
You now have a home made Kinito pet that -will- won't steal your personal information! Yay!

the numbers indicate how much mines are around that tile. it can be any of the 8 tiles sorrounding it. also look at neighboring numbers in order to see what tiles could possibly be mines
The impact that Doki Doki Literature Club had on the gaming world is insane in the best way possible. We wouldn't have ever gotten the amazing evolution of pshychological horror games like this one if it weren't for DDLC.

Another theory I got is- who are the people who sent the mail to destroy kinito? Did all of them work together to send the mail to you? Or, was it one of them? How long did they stay there? Man, I have SO many theories!

edit: new theory, who’s the people who helped you delete kinito? The lost souls in kinito.exe, it may be? They may have worked together to do so.
Something you missed is the fountain in your home kinito made, if you click it, it says “THE FOUNTAIN IS THE KEY” with the stick man from the kinito crew web world approaching it.
Kinito has died, died when he created a world, a game, a hub, asked you how you were doing, hell, even took the time to know more about you so he could adapt to you and create stuff for you. Hits hard. Even parents should be taking notes.
I couldn't help but clap at the ending. It such an amazing game and the ending was such an incredible way to go out and the entire game was so well done. Beautiful game
