Digging Up a Septic Leach Field Blockage

- In a previous video, I removed a root blockage in my septic drain field with an electric auger but, in less than a year, it was blocked again. The blockage doesn't seem to be very far down the pipe so I'm going to dig it up and attempt a more permanent fix. See the links below for the parts and tools I used:

I am suitably inspired, thank you! (I have a similar problem I think)
@@skyelord6229 Hopefully it'll go smoothly, thanks for watching!
I had to replace a 4 pipe x 16' leech field on our home purchase 6-7 years ago. Quoted price was close to $8K. 1-day rental of a small backhoe was $300, and about $300-400 in drainage pipe and misc made for quite a nice savings.
Just noticed its pooling where the D-Box is deleted used to be in place of a PVC manifold I made... I did pick up of 25-50# bag of that root killer for like $60 couple years ago however never took the time to throw a pound of two into the septic overflow tank. Lesson learned.
Probably best to get some of that in bulk and turn off your pump for a day to let the overflow fill up, throw in the root killer and turn the pump on.
Do it in early spring, again in summer and again in fall before freeze.
Dang, you saved yourself a ton of money, that's great! That type of a job probably seems overwhelming to a lot of people but it's definitely worth a shot when the savings are that high.
Thanks for sharing!
