Since they came back with Attention Attention, they're rocking asf. AA was already my favorite album of them, but this... this changes things. They're coming up with the best albums they've ever made since Sound of Madness. Impressive. Fucking impressive.

This is the theme song that would be played for a last stand of the Lamenters from Warhammer 40k.
If you wonder why, just search for a video called The Lamenters Experience.
I don't want to spoil anything, but video may seem kind of silly at first, but you'll see what I'm talking about.
Just for a little context.
The Lamenters are a group of space marine super soldiers who seem to be stricken with unbelievably bad luck, but they have also become known for defending the common people of their Imperium of Man, willingly giving up their lives to protect civilians on many occasion.
It very much fits for Cult of the Lamb, as well, though in a more literal sense since the titular Lamb always comes back to life after they die.
This song perfectly fits Shadow The Hedgehog, King Sombra, and Suarmon from The Lord of The Rings trilogy.
You weren't kidding when you said Zack Myers put a little extra effort into the guitars. That solo is beast mode

Yet another kick ass song by Shinedown. What makes them so amazing as a band and Brent Smith as a vocalist is their ability to excel at writing and performing absolute paint peeler hard rock blasters such as this amazing song and then turn around and be just as prolific at more mainstream hard rock songs on previous albums such as "If You Only Knew", "Second Chance", "The Crow and the Butterfly" or "Follow You Down.". Even the brilliance and simplicity of only Brent and piano on the song "Call Me." It's what truly sets them apart from many of their contemporaries.

You could say the same thing about 90% of rock bands today.. Seether, Breaking Benjamin, even Alice in Chains deserves much more recognition. Instead, people freak out over Pearl Jam...
Their actually a pretty big deal. The problem is they don't get the credit that's deserved from the 'elitist rock & roll fans' and all too often the music industry itself. 'Mainstream Rock' is unfortunately the title many great rock bands from the last 20 years have been pinned with, which these groups of people snub their noses at regardless of a bands talents, popularity, and chart success. Unless you're a rock band from the 60s 70s or '90s ( '80s sucked for Rock, for the new wave scene which I loved, 80s were 🔥) where I can't deny some of the greatest Rock of all time came from, your a band who runs the risk of seeming inconsequential. But that's just my thoughts, and I apologize, honestly I didn't plan to share anything more then the info below but I do tend to get rather protective of one of my most favorite bands, and love to shout out the praise they deserve!

You guys put so much hard work into your music and it shows in every single song you publish. Genuinely I have yet to find a single one that is "meh" across all the songs I've listened to. They all RULE in their own right.
That said, this album absolutely hits all my favorite genre points plus the topic is very raw and real and the rage is inspiring. I think we all needed this. Thank you.

Thank you Shinedown I finally got help after 20 years of mental problems and depression and drug addiction because of your music I finally got help almost 4 weeks sober in recovery severe nerve damage one day at a time lots of therapy exercise to get my body fully functioning got psychosis and major depression disorder so im a work in progress thankyou for saving my life and I hope and pray I better so I can see you guys in Houston and tell you myself and I grateful I am for you guys ❤❤
