They will always have a place in my heart, too, but I don’t like any church or Christian artist turning all political. I became so disappointed in John during the pandemic & deeply saddened. I felt like someone scrambled his brain like most cause what little politics i participated in, I was Republican. Most of those either act like him now, worse, or are like me & ask “what the heck happened?!. I’m apolitical. But One perWhat world are we living in?!? The Atlantic years were super safe lyrically, sure there were songs about God but they were very general and "safe". Bring back the blatantly Christian lyrics, I miss those, and I'm hoping it'll be more like the older days lyrically.
Definitely agree. Obviously it's still Skillet's signature sound, but you can tell it's different, it's got a bit more fuel behind it. I already like this one song more than every song on Dominion (although I loved that record as well, because Skillet). I don't think Atlantic would have let that out-of-left-field "whatever" slide either, becaue as far as I'm aware, none of their other songs have anything very similar to that. Skillet is definitely doing what they want more freely now. I got a good feeling this new album is going to be insane!

I love Skillet. I found their music when I needed it the most. They helped me get through a very hard time in my life. I was going through a mental crisis and I heard Monster for the first time and it really hit home for me. I am doing much better mentally now and thanks to my medical team and Skillet. The biggest regret that I have is having to miss seeing them in Edmonton a few weeks ago. I'm waiting for both of my knees to get replaced due to spending the last 40 years waking on cement floors for my job. I now have great difficulty walking and standing for even short periods of time. The venue they played in would have been impossible for me to attend. Not only standing for a 2 hour show, I doubt I could have walked through the parking lot to the venue. I'm not looking for sympathy, I just hope I get another chance to see them after my surgeries and recovery. I just want Skillet to know how much their music means to me. I love you all, John, Corey, Seth and Jen. Thanks for the music and god bless you.
My friend introduced me to skillet during a hard point in my life I remember giving my mp3 player to my friend to put the music on and listening to them while in a mental hospital, one of the few things that got me through it. I need surgery on my knee due to my job as well and my ankle is messed up so I have to wear a boot to keep it strait
Since the moment me and my boyfriend found out we both really like Skillet, we got like 4 CDs in the car always I'm from Germany and he's from the US, so it can be a struggle to find bands and music we both fully enjoy. Thank you for connecting the world!

When I was a teen, Skillet was my favorite band, but then I don't know for almost a decade couldn't bare to listen anything connected to my teen years. A few years back, I gave it a go again. While many of bands I used to listen to back then had all changed style, Skillet still had the same sounds than when I left them. Point is, I still love Skillet as much as I did back then!!
Same with me, Skillet has that sound that puts the fight in you, it encourages to keep standing for your faith and kick the enemy back to say "God isn't done with me, so i ain't done yet!"

I didnt even like Rise that much but I still found it more unique than anything they did after, every album after that just sounds very lazy from an objective point of view.

The Atlantic years were super safe lyrically, sure there were songs about God but they were very general and "safe". Bring back the blatantly Christian lyrics, I miss those, and I'm hoping it'll be more like the older days lyrically.
Definitely agree. Obviously it's still Skillet's signature sound, but you can tell it's different, it's got a bit more fuel behind it. I already like this one song more than every song on Dominion (although I loved that record as well, because Skillet). I don't think Atlantic would have let that out-of-left-field "whatever" slide either, becaue as far as I'm aware, none of their other songs have anything very similar to that. Skillet is definitely doing what they want more freely now. I got a good feeling this new album is going to be insane!

I love Skillet. I found their music when I needed it the most. They helped me get through a very hard time in my life. I was going through a mental crisis and I heard Monster for the first time and it really hit home for me. I am doing much better mentally now and thanks to my medical team and Skillet. The biggest regret that I have is having to miss seeing them in Edmonton a few weeks ago. I'm waiting for both of my knees to get replaced due to spending the last 40 years waking on cement floors for my job. I now have great difficulty walking and standing for even short periods of time. The venue they played in would have been impossible for me to attend. Not only standing for a 2 hour show, I doubt I could have walked through the parking lot to the venue. I'm not looking for sympathy, I just hope I get another chance to see them after my surgeries and recovery. I just want Skillet to know how much their music means to me. I love you all, John, Corey, Seth and Jen. Thanks for the music and god bless you.
My friend introduced me to skillet during a hard point in my life I remember giving my mp3 player to my friend to put the music on and listening to them while in a mental hospital, one of the few things that got me through it. I need surgery on my knee due to my job as well and my ankle is messed up so I have to wear a boot to keep it strait

I'm excited to hear the new album! Saw you guys in concert a couple of months ago, you are the loudest concert I've ever been to. Loved it!
When I was a teen, Skillet was my favorite band, but then I don't know for almost a decade couldn't bare to listen anything connected to my teen years. A few years back, I gave it a go again. While many of bands I used to listen to back then had all changed style, Skillet still had the same sounds than when I left them. Point is, I still love Skillet as much as I did back then!!
Same with me, Skillet has that sound that puts the fight in you, it encourages to keep standing for your faith and kick the enemy back to say "God isn't done with me, so i ain't done yet!"
