Trent was a little too ready to tell my man to let go.. Under that tech support nice guy persona I think we have a cold, reptilian psychopath on our hands
Ah this was almost painful to watch. I feel for Trent on this one who did a spot on impression of what it's like doing Tech Support.
The part I could FEEL that wasn't in the video was the boss breathing down Trent's neck FORCING him to stay on the line instead of just going "ok you need to call an ambulance. *hang up*". Also, the pressure Trent is under cause he KNOWS his boss/manager is not gonna take the call/escalate the issue so he has to deal with this situation regardless. Trent knows he's stuck on this line listening to this guy die, knows he can't do anything about it, fumbling for the right words to say, and just praying this call ends sooner rather than later.
This isn't far from how it actually feels to talk to cable tech support.
Pretty realistic tech support experience apart from the fact that the moment he hung up a new caller would've immediately dialed in.
It definitely wasn't Trent's fault that he started shitting his pants. One of his students must've been hiding and pulled another prank that went out of hand.

i once worked as an online astrologer and a client asked me "who killed his daughter" so naturally I googled his name and all and his daughter's name and everything was real I mean I found articles about her death and all, it was most likely suicide and he could not believe it.. also there was so much stuff about death in his chart It was traumatizing, I was shaking just like that afterwords.. accurate depiction of whats it like in customer support or stuff like that..

Dude, just start by asking him if light is on on the box. After walk him trough connecting the box. Always assume the customer have no idea how to breath. If you ask him to do something and say all it did was make him shit himself, assume everything is ok with the box and box is not well plug in or he is on the wrong output.

I had never met Trent but messaged him on a whim asking if he'd be interested, since I thought he would be perfect at this role. Then a few months later I messaged Joel about doing a voice for an animation and he was super down! Just goes to show how nice some people can be, and that it can never hurt to ask! Joel is great!
