Control your Android Phone from your Mac

I wrote a script to make it easier to display and control your android phone on your mac. This is probably not that useful to most people but I wanted to share it anyways. The script will store your phone details and make it much easier to quickly control your phone from your Mac. Leave me a comment if you're having any issues and I'll get back to you. Enjoy 🤙️
Basic Steps:
1. Run the install-requirements script (If you don't have homebrew installed).
2. Run the show-phone script and set up some phones.
3. Set up a shortcut to trigger the script and launch your phones.
Automator Info: Don't forget to include the 'nohup' and the '&' in automator!
export PATH=/usr/local/bin:$PATH
nohup ~/your/path/to/script/show-phone.sh -w 1 &
Invisible Keyboard info:
If you don't want the virtual keyboard to show on your screen, Download "Null Input Method" from here: play.google.com/store/apps/de... . My script will switch your phone's keyboard to "Null Input Method" if you have it installed and you have the "Use Null keyboard" setting set to yes. You can do this by running ./show-phone.sh --settings.

Hey Jesse, I love your all your videos. Especially your tutorials! I think if you stuck with it you'd get a whole lot more subscribers. You definitely have a knack for RUclips. I know it's a lot of work, but maybe shorter/easier to make videos would suffice in the beginning... Couldn't help my self give my 2 cents aka unsolicited advice (sorry ;-) )

Thanks so much. Got it working for a Pixel 3, and Pixel 4a, for some reason cant get it to recognize my old Nexus 6p phone with the same usb cable. Also couldn't seem to get the keyboard to stay off with the null keyboard app and setting set to yes...but thats ok. I'm very happy with what I have...Appreciate it :)
This is AWESOME! Is there any such analog for this with iPhone? (asks not having done any internet searching) I'm excited to set this up on my partner's computer who has a Mac and an Android phone 😊 You explain it all so well!

Incredible video, thank you so much for this... I wonder... Can we find a way to control the android phones without screen mirroring? (i.e. have the mouse cursor display on the phone screen but not mirror the display to the mac) I would be very grateful
I got to the point of setup... but my mac can't detect my phone at all even with it being debugged... help

..and the display never comes up. Am I doing something wrong?

It basically sets up and stores your phone's information for later use without having to remember the details. It can also switch the user's keyboard on connect and switch it back on disconnect. It was mainly written to make it easier for less experienced users.

not getting anything on my phone after plugging it into my macbook and just before that usb debugging had been enabled.
Make sure you're using a good USB cable that can transfer data.
@@jesse19skelton so its finally working with the usb cable connected but my wifi is pretty bad so yeah, anyways thanks man and btw is it possible to play games like this? have you tried it and is it similar to playing an android game on an android emulator like bluestacks?
@@resurekt97 If your wifi sucks, just use USB mode. Bluestacks is going to be better if you have a powerful computer. Checkout scrcpy if you want more freedom and are not afraid of the terminal. You can change some settings and get smoother playback maybe.

@@jesse19skelton ive got one last problem that i need to you to help me tackle.. so you do --wifi 1 to bring up the phone but i when i try doing --usb 1 it just asks me which phone i want to cast which prompts me to hit 1, again...here
