After owning at least 15 fuzzes, this is the one I ended up keeping on my board. Keeps perfect low end, takes other pedals well and I can tune its high end filter to fit any situation. Just an amazing little pedal
I own a lot of fuzzes, but the two I keep going back to are the cheapest. The Carcosa, and the Behringer SF-300 Super Fuzz. The Carcosa actually has decent low-gain tones, and can actually double as an overdrive-type pedal on guitar if you're careful. On bass, it's got a lot of mids, so it's really great for old school fuzz bass. You'll hear what you're playing. The SF 300 has this massive scoop on setting #2, complete with insane low end and subs, and distorted guitars can sit right inside the scoop, which can make a truly massive sound, at the expense of actually being able to hear the overrated actual "notes" that you're playing. My bandmates hate it when I use fuzz on bass, so I've only been able to use these two sparingly in recent years.
I have one of these and it's a great fuzz pedal. At the same time that this was released originally there was another DOD drive pedal called the BONESHAKER. I bought this because it is supposed to be excellent for baritone /down-tuned guitars (sorry) but it never really worked for me there. When our band was looking for a dirt pedal for the bass though we tried the BONESHAKER there and it was exactly what we were looking for, highly recommend you try one out.
Win Win Win.
Question regarding the Sire D5 bass in this video: 1) Are these the the stock pick ups that came with the bass OR 2) Has the bass been modified with custom pick ups such as the Seymour Duncan Stinger '51 Stack humbuckers.

Fuzz on Buzz!
2:25 - "Beautiful People"? 😉
I just got a DoD boneshaker for a steal and it’s a great pedal, lots of control, but this one has character!! Super cool.
Oh, it must be Christmas all over again! My favorite fuzz pedal so far on BASS!
Your channel makes me happy.
been using it for some years now :D
It has trown the duality fuzz of my board.
Very organic, love the bias knob :D

Great idea!
Your pronunciation of the word "subtle" is both enraging and hilarious.
Very fun!
Wow 🤩👏👏
I've been using my Boss yellow bass overdrive for 20 years. Mainly because I can't be bothered with buying anything else. Much of a muchness.
Damn and now I have to get one again😂
I agree. Fatter is always good.
Sounds like a bunch of blown speakers.
Always love the videos and playing however. Cheers

There’s no Sire in this video
Nice
This video doesn't do the pedal any justice. With Before and After at 2 o'clock and a tiny little high cut, the Carcosa rips paint off the walls!
I always love Lars, but for this video in particular it's a shame that we don't have Frank Itt and his stankface.
Always called them dod too.
This TRULY is the pedal people buy Fbasses for. Yep.
Stop talking about this pedal, people will think it is awesome on bass (OFC it is!) and second hand prices will rise, don’t be like JHS Pedals… 😅
Doesn't everyone call them "DOD" instead of the abbreviated D.O.D? I always called them DOD.
it's always been D.O.D. to me
Great content (!) but the spastic camera and editing work is headache inducing, and adds nothing good.
There’s someone out there who likes the sound of this…….unfortunately.
Yeah I feel the same way about fender p basses and j basses and their clones.
I expect there are many. In the right setting this would be awesome.
@@trance9158Hot take. History disagrees.
@@xdoctorblindx history hasn't always been right though...
Always called D.O.D. (or DOD) as DUD, because most all of them sucked.
