Taylor plays guitar (also electric and 12-string), piano, banjo, and ukulele. I believe she might play other instruments, just not on a professional level, possibly drums and violin, in her MV Lover she is shown playing drums and violin. When Taylor does her MVs there usually is a reason behind everything.
Hi Violet! Add a dulcimer to the list -- although I don't know that she spends any time with it, she did mention it in an old interview. It was a gift, iirc.
Taylor's work the epitome of "i could build a castle out of all the bricks they threw at me" (and she knows it haha those are lyrics from 1989's new romantics btw) Would recommend checking out the grammy's performance of Mean and read the background story for that song (eg the genius about sniplet) another perfect example of her craft and the irony i am living for haha
She did this museum performance as part of an hour - long presentation on how the album was produced --- look for "Grammy Pro" and Taylor Swift and you'll find it. This was a meeting of Nashville music producers and sound engineers; she is inducted into the Producers' Wing as a music producer at the end of it (a surprise to her --- she is now eligible for Grammy awards in production, too). At the end of the video, there are solo performances she did to commemorate record -breaking visitors to the museum (they did a display of 1989 memorabilia). Blank Space (Gibson Songwriter dreadnought) , How You Get The Girl (Gibson J-185??) , Out of the Woods (piano) , and Wildest Dreams (Fender Jaguar electric).
I saw Taylor back before she moved to pop and before she was a mega star. She was still a fresh face in country music. She has such a great voice and it's not like everyone else out there which is what I like about her
people say taylor can't sing but she is such a good vocalist, maybe not the best but she is really good and she doesn't really ever do autotune, its not her style
Slightly more rock-y is this live version of Wildest Dreams from the same Grammy Museum concert: ruclips.net/video/OGDkg3QiJmk/видео.html or full on live rock version of We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together: ruclips.net/video/6bVsg1Ik-GQ/видео.html Both would be great for reactions.
There was more to Kanye, he did her dirty 2 more times after the awards interruption. After he apologized to her, she accepted it and thought he was a friend. Then he calls her to ask if she would be the presenter of an award he was getting, so when she did it, he told the audience that she was being paid by the network to present it. Then again, he apologizes and again befriends her, calls her up and say he is writing a song called Famous, and that there was a lyric he wanted her okay on and that was something "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex" he recorded the conversation, but he left out the lyric about "I made that b!tch famous" she did not know he was going to put that in the song. So, when the song came out, she said he did not tell her he was going to use the lyric about making her famous using the B word. Kayne and Kim edited the tape and put it on the internet, then people started calling her a liar, Kim started calling her a snake, and after that, all the haters started calling her a snake. Taylor disappeared for a year, and when she surfaced she released "Reputation" the song "Look What You Made Me Do" and the music video was about mostly Kanye. A couple of years ago someone released the unedited tape, showing that Taylor was not lying. So, Kayne is still trying to take Taylor down by getting Candice Owen's platform to put Taylor down. One has to wonder why he is so focused on Taylor, and my thought is she is serious competition, she has dominated the charts, and rightly so. People love Taylor first, because she is an authentic person, who invites her fans to her homes and has secret sessions when she is about to drop an album. She buses them to her home sings the songs to them, she even bakes homemade goodies. Taylor has her people called Taylor Nation contact fans (from social media) and invites them. There is more, but that is just one example.
regarding the phone call -- the real purpose was to get her to agree to release his song on her Twitter account -- she had several times his followers. And, her record sales were exploding, while his were dying out after his third album. During the call, she specifically told him she had been concerned he might call her a bitch; but she declined to promote it for him. So, of course the asshole added the bit about "that bitch". He's is a solid nutcase -- Taylor isn't the only award recipient he pulled that on, he did it to several other people at different shows.
@@brittanyvaldez7609 You are welcome. For sure, it can get tiring having to explain things, but at least these guys have opened up to giving her a chance. So I didn't mind.
YAAASSSSS THANK YOU GUYS!!! 🎉❤❤ I’m tellin ya her lyrics are top tier 👌 Blank Space came out almost 10 years ago and it’s still my all time favorite TS song ❤️🔥 I’m so glad u guys got the message Please react to Look What You Made Me Do but the LIVE version from her reputation tour! She gives it a cool rock sound 🤘
I can tell you, you will never be bored with Taylor content! There's so much out there, and its all so good! Minus a few preformances in her debut era. She's been writing songs since she was 10 years old. I think when they started working on her first album (at age 15) she already had 100 songs that she'd written to choose from.
That’s amazing she started writing so young. I asked in one of our videos if she actually writes her own music or if she has other people write for her. Thanks for clarifying. She’s amazing 🤩
@@TripTipsPodcast Fun fact she has writing credits on every single song and some she has self-written. The very criticism of "she can't possibly write her own music" led her to release her 100% self-written 3rd album "Speak Now" when she was only 19/20! She's collaborative by nature but that's a cool fact I think.

Taylor is a truly brilliant melodist and songwriter. I consider her one of the very best of the last 20 years, probably one of the best of all time. The verse melody in Blank Space is outstanding. She has taken a ton of flak over her voice, but IMO Taylor actually has a very beautiful sounding voice, and she has really worked on improving it and her pitch control over the years. It's very clear and punchy but with a warmth, and it sits in a mix really nicely, especially over dirty guitars. She also adds a lot of very cool nuance to her vocal performances, like this one. She's not a vocal virtuoso like Celine Dion, but she more than makes up for that with the character of her vocals - and quite honestly that is just as important. Having a voice people instantly recognise is a big deal.

Well. Another male tandem reacting to Taylor's music. Welcome to the fandom dudes. 😄 I'm glad I get to listen & watch new guys discovering Taylor's music. Good reaction. Looks forward for more. Thank you.
Just discovered you guys. My sole hobby is watching reactors discover the prolific genius that is Taylor Swift, so I'm loving this!. If you like her acoustic performances, as others have mentioned, there are additional songs from this same Grammy Museum performance that are also excellent. She also has 4 or 5 songs at the BBC Live Lounge from 2019 that are amazing, as well as her City of Lover live from Paris concert from the same time period. If you'd like to hear more of her rock sound, her 1989 world tour is great, especially Wildest Dreams and We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together from that tour specifically (it's a rock version of her pop mega hit). She also had some excellent country rock songs back in 2010, you should watch those live from her Speak Now tour, specifically Haunted and Sparks Fly. I would watch the music videos for Story of Us, Mine, and Mean from the same album. You also must watch the music video for I Knew You Were Trouble, it's epic and it was her first non-country hit. Enjoy the ride, gentlemen.
Thanks for watching our videos and all the great suggestions. We actually created a video for We’re never getting back together. It’s coming out in a couple of days. Hit the subscribe button and bell to get notified when it gets released.
@@TripTipsPodcast I really hope it's the Rock version but if it's not definitely react to that one as well! Us Swifties love it when reactors see multiple versions of Taylor's songs!
you should react to out of the woods from this same performance! she plays the piano and wildest dreams she plays the electric guitar! same performance 😊

She was one of the 1st artists signed to Big Machine Records (Indie label) in ‘05 I think. She was able to persuade them to let Nathan Chapman (mainly demos guy) co-produce her albums. (Also Jack Antonoff said she was the 1st to let him produce music.) She was also able to persuade her label to allow Rick Barker to be her manager (he worked for BMR at the time), who helped launch her in the early years. She’d been turned down by other management companies; both the label & RB refused her at first because he had no experience as a manager- mainly worked in radio. He left the position in ‘08, but by then the Foundation had been set. He has videos on the music industry/business that at times uses her as an example.

Taylor is a bad ass. She’s a great business person, she’s an incredible story teller, and she is great with her fans. A live performance I would recommend is Never Ever Getting Back Together (Rock Version). This song is not at all one of my favourites but this performance is great. A couple other live performances I love are All To Well and Willow/August/Cardigan both at the Grammies (different years). Not sure if these two would interest either of you as they are on the softer side. I’ve really enjoyed your Taylor videos. Keep it up! 😊

@@TripTipsPodcast I know you guys prefer her live performances more than her music videos but the music videos as well are highly loved by the swifties including myself. She mashes up Wildest Dreams with another song of hers called “Enchanted”. I’d suggest also reacting to her performance of “Enchanted” from either her Eras Tour or Speak Now World Tour so that you aren’t confused when she switched between lyrics of Enchanted & Wildest Dreams. Her Out Of The Woods MV and song showcase the number one feeling she had during a past relationship which was anxiety.
@@TripTipsPodcast if you do happen to react to her live performance of “Enchanted/Wildest Dreams” Mashup and or “Out Of The Woods” they’re both performed on her 1989 tour and you can find them on EAS Music Channel.
Ok guys, my husband listens to rap and I have successfully made a swiftie out of him (he even took me to the Reputation tour as a gift). Here's what you want to focus on: - Understand the beef with Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, then watch Look What You Made Me Do again - I Did Something Bad live at the AMA's 2018 (understand the beef with Kim and Kanye first) - Vigilant Shit (understand the beef with Scooter Braun first and know he is recently divorced) - End Game music video -...Ready For It? music video - We Are Never Getting Back Together live from the 1989 tour - I Knew You Were Trouble live from the 1989 tour - Bad Blood is a good one but I know you guys already did a reaction THEN, you can move on to: - Out Of The Woods live the grammy museum - See You Again live with Wiz Khalifa - Wildest Dreams music video - King Of My Heart live acoustic - Doubt live with Mary J. Blige - Blank Space music video - Better Man live - Dear John live speak now tour (yes, this is about John Mayer) I am sure I am forgetting things, but I think this is a good start

Want to get a real contrast? Watch the video for Back to December, or Our Song; or Mean, and then the 2018 AMA version of "I Did Something Bad." Also, when you listen to her music, watch for "they say" or something similar; she actually rags on the media/haters quite a bit. "Shake It Off" also starts out that way.
@@TripTipsPodcast her vids reflect her age; she was 16yo in Our Song; 20yo in Back to December and Mean; and 26yo in I Did Something Bad. Also, she writes long titles, and her fans will abbreviate them using just initials; they are totally searchable just by the initials on just about every platform, lol. Another one I am sure will be requested, and that will make a huge contrast to early videos is Bad Blood. The song is from 2014's 1989 album; the video uses a remix featuring Kendrick Lamar, it's different from the album. Mean does double emphasis on country and parody (very much a diss track to a reviewer). She does something in the same vein in last years "I Bet You Think About Me" regarding an ex, Jake Gyllenhaal. Jake was into indie- rock; he started dating her a couple weeks _after_ her third album went platinum _in_its_release_week_ . Like you guys, Jake didn't listen to her music, so she let's him have it hard! It is funny as hell. Anti-Hero and Bejeweled are full of her Easter Eggs -- hints about the album and upcoming videos or upcoming releases. She's been doing hidden messages since her first album liner notes; so if you see things that go over your head, just assume someone will clue you in in the notes. Most of it goes by me, too; I get to blame it on my age(64), and being born blond. At least, that's my story!

Despite my name and pfp I'm mostly a rock dude. I've seen live some of the best like Foo Fighters, Alice In Chain, Temple of the Dog, Gun & Roses, U2, Roger Waters, Paul McArney, Rolling Stones, etc. And I also been a Taylor Swift fan since 2007, I've seen her live and her concerts are incredible she never uses auto-tune, I've even heard her sing off key live. She's much better live with her guitar or piano instead of her MVs ,she does do some great ones. Also she writes some of the best lyrics and vocal melodies out there. Some of my favorite Taylor songs like Forever Winter (about of her chilhood friend that took his life), Soon You'll Get Better (about her mother getting cancer), The Outside (about getting bullied at school), Dear John (about her emotionally abusive relantionship with 33-year-old John Mayer when she was 19) and This Is Me Trying (about trying to battle depression and addiction) have had a really deep impact on me. Although I do love her "cringe" songs too. I found your channel today, I saw your two newer videos and I really like your attitude, your dad reminds me of my dad who's a really big 70s rock fan of bands like Pink Floyd, Deep Purple and Jethro Tull. I'm not sure how easy they are to find (I have the DVD) but back in 2008 she did a concert with Def Leppard (they played 5 Def Leppard songs and 4 Taylor songs) and it's awesome rock/country/pop.
I didn't knew you could watch it on Amazon, I've never used their streaming servicies in Europe so I'm not sure if it's the same as in the US. But I have the DVD and it absolutely rocks, so many amazing duets. When Love & Hate Collides, Photograph and hearing Joe singing "I'll be the princess" is epic.
@@Mravenrocks Same! My Dad got the DVD for me right after her episode! But yes, Amazon Prime Video used to have all seasons of Crossroads but I don't know if it's still on there. I know you can still buy the DVD thru Amazon! And I agree, & I love all of the interviews in between the songs!
While she doesn't _need_ auto tune, she used it in End Game and some other songs since; and that rap spoof (Thug Story) she did with T-Pain years ago (damn hard to find, these days!). She never used it when she was doing "country" albums (calling them that is a disservice to her -- she is too eclectic for labels). I like it better when she has the producers use vocoder though; but her straight up voice is gorgeous. (From the sound of your dad, he is about my age, lol.)
I mean she doesn't use it live to enchace her voice. As you said she has used in some songs as an artistic choice, same with the vocoder but that's quite different from need help to sing better live.
Hi guys, I enjoyed your reaction -- I think it's a really catchy and well-performed song that rises to another level once you realize (as you figured out!) that it's also a satire in which she is playing with the persona that the media created to disparage her. She turns that persona all the way around and fashions it into a massive hit song -- very much making lemonade out of the lemons she was handed, LOL! The music video she put out for this song is hilarious, by the way, a perfect 'dark romance' parody. I do want to give you guys a heads-up, though, that the people who enforce copyright protections for the Grammys are super active and they routinely lodge copyright strikes against reactors' channels for featuring any of their footage. Same is true of NPR. If you want to avoid a copyright strike, I might suggest moving this to Patreon or something. There's a ton of Taylor Swift content you will have no problem making reaction videos with, but my advice is to avoid performances from the Grammys and NPR because they go after everyone on this platform.
Oh wow we had no idea about the copyright issues. Thanks for the advice. We’ll take it into consideration for future videos. Thanks for the feedback and watching our videos. Her explanation here is necessary, but I don’t care for the acoustic version. Feels empty lol. Great way to focus on her voice and the lyrics though! Oh, and it’s not based off the media for ALL her songs! Most are either total fiction or related to her life. There’s a couple satirical ones like this though lol
There’s a song that captured what Taylor’s mentioned about a media and a hater called “New Romantics” and here is the lyrics : 'Cause baby, I could build a castle Out of all the bricks they threw at me And every day is like a battle But every night with us is like a dream Baby, we're the new romantics Come on, come along with me Heartbreak is the national anthem We sing it proudly We are too busy dancing To get knocked off our feet Baby, we're the new romantics The best people in life are free’ It’s one of the single from 1989 (Album) and it’s one of my fav songs from 1989. Taylor is an amazing artist.. .. The Blank Space music video is hilarious... You might enjoy that 😊
Good reaction guys, nice one! .
Thanks 😊
Kayne and Kim are evil!
regarding the phone call -- the real purpose was to get her to agree to release his song on her Twitter account -- she had several times his followers.
Thank you for sharing this with them! They need to take the Taylor Swwift rundown course lol

@@payalbhavsar6960 Wow! Taylor is like the 1% when it comes to creativity and talent.
So much TS content for them to watch, I'm so glad they're enjoying it. I love TS!!

Agree 100% 👍

Watching reaction videos is my new hobby!

You should react to mean live at the Grammy performance..Taylor's acoustic performances are the best actually.
Thanks we’ll look into it. We did a reaction video to one of her acoustic songs. Check out our videos to see it.

Ok guys, my husband listens to rap and I have successfully made a swiftie out of him (he even took me to the Reputation tour as a gift). Here's what you want to focus on:
- Understand the beef with Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, then watch Look What You Made Me Do again
- I Did Something Bad live at the AMA's 2018 (understand the beef with Kim and Kanye first)
- Vigilant Shit (understand the beef with Scooter Braun first and know he is recently divorced)
- End Game music video
-...Ready For It? music video
- We Are Never Getting Back Together live from the 1989 tour
- I Knew You Were Trouble live from the 1989 tour
- Bad Blood is a good one but I know you guys already did a reaction
THEN, you can move on to:
- Out Of The Woods live the grammy museum
- See You Again live with Wiz Khalifa
- Wildest Dreams music video
- King Of My Heart live acoustic
- Doubt live with Mary J. Blige
- Blank Space music video
- Better Man live
- Dear John live speak now tour (yes, this is about John Mayer)
I am sure I am forgetting things, but I think this is a good start
Thanks for all that! We appreciate it!

Ok I’ll make a list of those and that’ll be part of the next group that we do.

Oooh good idea! And thanks for the sub and support!
It was called "Crossroads" & I don't know if you can find just that episode by itself but you can find the whole season on Amazon! It's so good!
You should react to the music video for Out of the Woods!!
We will add that to the list
Taylor is a country girl with a bit of a battle rappers heart. She’s way better when she’s shooting back, rather than playing the victim.
So true

Awesome thanks we’ll check it out
I love Taylor as a songwriter but she's not really the strongest singer. Especially in this video, which is quite a long time ago now. But she's grown so much over the years vocally and she can sing this song a lot better these days
It's got to be hard her best friend is Selena Gomez and Selena had 400 million followers imagine that
I’m sure she’s happy for her
@@TripTipsPodcast I'm sure but Taylor and Selena are both so famous it would have to be hard to be normal no matter how much money you have your privacy of your privacy and having someone in your business all the time I don't know if I would trade it for all the money in the world.

Money/Celebrity brings a lot of issues. She has to have multi security guys, she has stalkers, men break into her house. It’s not all positive
I couldn’t imagine the stress.

There’s a song that captured what Taylor’s mentioned about a media and a hater called “New Romantics” and here is the lyrics :
'Cause baby, I could build a castle
Out of all the bricks they threw at me
And every day is like a battle
But every night with us is like a dream
Baby, we're the new romantics
Come on, come along with me
Heartbreak is the national anthem
We sing it proudly
We are too busy dancing
To get knocked off our feet
Baby, we're the new romantics
The best people in life are free’
It’s one of the single from 1989 (Album) and it’s one of my fav songs from 1989. If you have time you can react to this song and music video. The music video it’s kinda interesting cause you can see a glimpse of 1989 World Tour.
I like those lyrics. Yeah we’ll look into this song to do another reaction video. Thanks

The Kanye debacle at the beginning of her career was nothing compared to what Kim & Kanye did in 2017.
That’s what we’ve learned
Such a sad situation for her to have to experience that.
