I love the app for my iPad for textbooks and when I want a change of color and bigger screen it’s nice to switch to the iPad! I love switching between my paperwhite and I pad!

Another feature that is only on the apps but not the devices is Bluetooth support for page turn buttons. These little Bluetooth fobs are about $7-10 and you can click them to turn pages. The smaller kindles I do not see a lot of use for them, but if you like to read outside and it is cold you can prop up a paperwhite and keep your hands under a blanket. But with the scribe it would be useful, the larger device allows for big print and you can set up the device and use a fob to change pages in a lot of different use cases.
Something I did was, (I am apple iOS user) but I bought cheap android that could take a 1Tb micro so card. I put one readers & my audio book players, and few other apps like Google maps, it doesn’t have a SIM card, but I download ebooks & audio books. & download local Google maps. It can hotspot to my iPhone if I need access to the internet. But only went needed. I can listen to audiobooks, read same ebooks, no social media issues & I keep my main phone safely away and not full of stuff. If it’s lost or stolen I and not at as great a loss, and doesn’t have all the person stuff.i can be reading a kindle book on my kindle then open app & it’s at same part.

I use the Kindle app on my iPad for textbooks. Lots of colour diagrams in textbooks so the app is pretty much the only way to read a textbook.
