    I love how show accurate the Cybertron era toys were.

      Jinx Jade i've heard that in order to make the show they designed the toys first to use the toy models as the character models in the cartoon

      Jinx Jade they actually transformed accurately to their animation models

    • @DaPopeANata
      @DaPopeANata 7 лет назад +12

      It was pretty much the polar opposite of the Beast Machines toyline. The show models were so toy accurate that show Evac had the button than spun his rotors. And all visible robot parts on the toys were there in the show as well, which made one wonder how nobody thought things like a fire truck with giant fists for a bumper was at all suspicious.

    I know the power frustration feeling. Last summer a wind storm knocked out my power and it took them a week to finally get it fixed. All the while every other house but mine and the two next to me towards the corner were powerless. I think they asuumed once the rest was on we were too. It was only after the 5th call they finally checked the branch line behind the house in the back alley.
    The irony being I called in the outage and told them I saw the transformer back there explode which then blew the rest of the block.

    The original Starscream before he became giant. Yes, his Supreme Starscream form also came out in Japan, though it's just a Hasbro release imported and sold through Toys'R'Us, suspiciously not eHOBBY though.

    • @christophersichler98
      @christophersichler98 7 лет назад +1

      No. War Within was a comic book series released in the early 2000's by a Dreamwave Comics (before it went bankrupt) that took place on Cybertron. tfwiki.net/wiki/War_Within_(comic). The series that you are thinking of in which the seekers transformed into biplanes is actually called Hearts of Steel. tfwiki.net/wiki/Hearts_of_Steel. War For Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron are part of the Aligned Continuity family, whereas War Within and both versions of Hearts of Steel are part of the continuity family known as G1.

    Funny enough it was that top 10 of the decade video that got me trying to find this or some version of the mold, and you are right....it is not easy to find on the aftermarket for anything close to decent priced. I did finally manage to find the universe Dirge recolor of it, which feels like the legs don't want to ratchet straight up/down anymore so he's always a little bowlegged. I'd also oddly gotten the supreme sized remold for an even better price around the same time, don't feel it's as bad as lot of people make it out to be. Not quite Unicron or Primus levels but still a fun big jet to have and see the differences between the two.

    Hear me out here. I remember in the opening of the 86 movie, it showed a planet populated with robotic people including children. So maybe Cybertronian children can't transform and have to ride in the cockpits of older ones.

    • @TJOmega
      @TJOmega  7 лет назад

      That was Lithone, a different race. Season 3 of the original cartoon had several robot species that weren't related to Transformers. While there are young Transformers, no actual children have ever been apart of any canon.

    Universe 2.0 had a DIrge redeco of this figure that goes for cheap. It was in the two pack with deluxe Roadbuster which was a redeco of Cybertron Defense Hot Shot.
    Through the magic of Ebay, I found myself with this figure's gun and missile from purchasing a random parts and weapons lot. At first I thought it was for "Thrust" until I seen the colors didn't match that version. It just makes me wonder whatever happened to the actual figure the gun and missile once belonged to.
    And while this video reminded me that I wanted Galaxy Meteor, especially with that price drop, I preordered it before I finished the video. Seriously though, that initial price was way too high. At first I was going to wait until it went on clearance, like most third party figures tend to do lately, but then it got cancelled. When it came back I was happy but the price was still a turn off. Now it's a more manageable price and I was gonna wait until the price came down more until I realized that it might sell out quickly from having a more limited run and have sky-high prices later.

    Also I noticed Plastic Addict has been dead for a little while so if you don't mind I have some suggestions if you're looking to get back to the series:
    ROTF Arcee
    Beast Machines Nightscream
    anything BTR
    MP-05 Megatron?
    ROTF Leader Megatron (even if the only bad thing is the arms)
    Maybe some bad Beast .ars figures? Like the giraffe shell former?
    Aramada Scavenger
    moar Beast Machines
    Pretty much any other figure that thought "no legs" was cool
    Legion Upscale Smokescreen
    and finally....
    Aramada Optimus Prime.
    The big one.
    The one that used to be the main villain of your show when it had a plot thing going on.

    The black on this Starscream is not accurate at all. Sure, it's not Beast Machines Silverbolt inaccurate, but let's just say Maketoys Galaxy Meteor is the one true Cybertron Starscream. Above all the articulation and everything, it has the right colour: a dark inky blue somewhere between Infinity War Iron Spider's legs and the Navy Ranger from Ninja Storm...
