If you want to trap something like that, build two gates parallel to each other bear trap in middle, place front and back gates when it’s in trap

I swear whenever I trap them they don’t go in the defensive pose so I have to do it the hard way
dont have your gate so close to each other, leave space in between them. That did it for me.
