- Welcome to the Ableton Live course for non-drummers! This series is 4 episodes long (each video containing an interview with Sara Leigh Shaw and 4 techniques demonstrated in Ableton Live 11). The course focused on writing drums using only the MIDI grid. In this lesson, you'll learn how to write different genres via understanding song tempo/bpm and using reference tracks, some important rhythm patterns (3+3+2 & triplet music theory), and how you can use notations to make your beats better.

Do you know if there are any copyright issues with Ableton stock beats such as "Samba Tambourim Pandeiro" in the Clips section. I wanted to drag and drop the beat onto a song but I opted not to out of concern for a copyright violation. The Samba clip is an actual beat, so I wonder if it's royalty free?
