    The love in that room for the great Maestro was Country big. The standing ovation was so deserved but as I said they adored him and were in awe.

    Thanks for this video!!! I have loved Glen since about 1970, and I fell in love with Collin Raye in the 90's, had "She's gonna fly" played at my mom's funeral. Where'd Bryan White go? I enjoyed his first CD. Glen Campbell, you are missed but thanks to RUclips, we can hold on to you for as long as we want.

    God gave us one man that had more talent vocally and musically than I believe anyone since the creation of Adam and Eve! The world may never see the likes of Glen Campbell from Delight, Arkansas again. Who will fill his shoes when he's gone? Not a single soul. Period.

      Roger L I feel the same way. I love many musicians and singers from a number of genres from my 60 years of life, and while they are all good with what they do or have done, Glen is beyond their reach. To go from where he began and to achieve all that he did before his death, it makes me grateful to be able to open up a computer and go to a place like You Tube to listen and watch from those earlier and easier days, it really makes me grateful to know I was alive when he was making music.

      well said
      but then would we want anyone to fill his shoes
      and he is suffering with his family right even though he is dead

    • @survivrs
      @survivrs 5 лет назад +1

      @@rebeccahooper7968 Perhaps you could clarify your comment? He is not suffering and didn't suffer. You sound like you know very little about Alzheimer's Disease. His final song should have made that clear. His family might still be grieving his loss, in fact I'm sure of it, but they have so many incredible memories of him, just like his close friends. Nobody will fill his shoes. Others may try, but I'd rather see people blaze their own trails.

      @@survivrs what a load of bollocks and no need to attack me who ever you are hiding under the guise of ...I know more about it than you will ever know I work in the profession.
      I know that his wife and kids are after all his money and have been for years so yes Glen was pushed to do concerts when he was ill ...loss of income more like and I know it from his daughter Debby so think again idiot ...I do not have to clarify anything to you. So why do not you get off your high horse and leave me alone with your crap way of thinking that Alzheimers do not suffer because they do ...Good day

    I'm so thankful that my life intersected with the timeline of Glen Campbell's career. I believe I love him even more since his passing. After August 8, 2017, I began to scour RUclips and the internet as I mourned his passing. It was only then that I began to understand him better. I am unspeakably thankful that he reevaluated his life and turned full circle back to the Lord. Introspection and self-evaluation is not easy, and many die in a state of terrible dysfunction. But this man, with a hunger in his heart and the help of a good woman, did turn that ship around and returned to the safe harbor of God's presence. Surely the prayers of so many who loved him were instrumental in his returning to the Savior.
    If Glen would have been just an amazing guitarist with an incredible vocal talent and a gorgeous face, that would be an irresistible package. But he was so many more things and those things made him quite a man. He was nice. He was unpretentious. He was humble. He was simple. He always acknowledged the talent of others. He owned his bad behavior, plus he was willing to make the 180 that took him out of his destructive lifestyle. And because he did, we can take comfort in knowing that Glen's more than alright.
    He's walking on streets of gold! He's enjoying the mansion prepared just for him! He's finally living in the light of the risen Lamb!
    Not only will there be "No More Nights" in that place. ruclips.net/video/_TSTP6kAG1k/видео.html. There will be no more goodbyes. So, yes, we've had to say goodbye to Glen in this life, but for those who know the Lord (and everyone can), once we're reunited with him and all the loved ones who died in Christ, we'll never have to say another goodbye.

    Was the "error" in getting up too early a harbinger and earliest signs of Alzheimer's? Or not? Research shows small signs show decades before actual diagnosis.
